14 Chapter Twelve

Hey guys and girls I am so sorry for not uploading yesterday, I was spending time with my brother who I haven't seen in six months. Please forgive me.

Ella's POV:

Instantly felt uncomfortable in the presence of this wolf that approached us and Azaizal clearly did to as a low growl escaped him and he stood taller next to me.

The wolf approaching was a steel grey and oozed confidence. He trotted with his head held high and his ears straight. I tried to hide a giggle but failed as Azaizal looked at me with curiosity. "He looks like a show dog." I felt his amusement at that.

I stand up straight, not letting this wolf see me as weak as he stands in front of us. We wait for him to speak.

"Hello" A strange says through the wolf bond. Azaizal hears it too as the wolf bond can be like speaking out loud if that's how the wolf chooses to make it. I'm glad he can hear and that this wolf forgot to make it private.

"Good Afternoon" I respond politely through the bond. He steps forward but Azaizal's growl stops him. The wolf stares at him.

"Hello Azaizal, what are you doing here?" The mutters, rolling his eyes as he says it through the link. Azaizal growls again but stops before continuing.

"I'm leading this female to the castle" He replies almost in warning. There was an underlying emotion I couldn't pick out. His gold eyes dull, not like the bright gold they were before.

"I can take her Azaizal, I'm going there anyway, plus I can also make her mine." I instantly get what he means and a snarl passes my teeth. 'Disgusting wolf' I think to myself.

"I'm good" I reply coldly. Azaizal must have also realised what the wolf meant as well as he had stepped forward and was snarling loudly at the wolf. His canines are on full display and I can't help but find it sexy as I watch his muscles tense. 'Now is not the time' I scold myself. I prepare myself to get in-between the wolves so no fight broke out but my main concern was Azaizal. I didn't want him getting hurt.

"You aren't going anywhere with her" Azaizal snarls. I feel the power in it and shrink down, I yelp in surprise at his tone that's going through my head. Azaizal looks down at me and his eyes soften, quickly pressing his nose to my forehead before turning back to the wolf and glaring again.

Another powerful aura fills the space and I glance around quickly. It's a beta. I instantly bow. "What's going on here?"

He stares at the grey wolf before glancing at Azaizal who is now also bowing. "Beta Lock, Kace was trying to suggest he was going to mate with this wolf without permission."

Beta Lock nods and turns toward the wolf, I learned to be Kace. "Well Kace, explain yourself." He freezes but turns to us snarling.

"He's lying Beta Lock, I wouldn't do such a thing, it's Azaizal who was trying to take advantage of this female." He retorted. I resisted the urge to snarl at his lie, suddenly feeling very protective of Azaizal.

Even Beta Lock snarls at Kace, "This is not the first time you've attempted to lie to me. Don't repeat it. I'll be dealing with you soon young wolf."

Beta Lock turns to us, "I'm so sorry Azaizal and..."

"My names Ella sir" he nods briefly.

"You both best go, the king is expecting his nephew and I'm assuming his help with the hunt and rescue" We both nodded and bowed again before leaving towards the castle.

I could still tell Azaizal was annoyed at what had happened and the interruption but as much as I felt the urge to try help calm him, I ignored it and just continued walking by his side.
