12 Chapter Ten

After a successful hunt at catching three deer, we dragged them back for everyone. For such a high ranking wolf, I was surprised at how well Azaizal did. Normally the higher ranking wolves leave hunting to everyone else, although Azaizal told me he loves a good hunt sometimes and thinks that he should hunt for himself. I like that he thought that. It was nice knowing he didn't see himself as higher than everyone else.

Once we got back to the clearing, everyone awake was very grateful and all took parts of the deer. Alessio approached as we were about to walk away with our parts. "Thank you for getting food for everyone, it's very generous of you both. I'm honoured to have you with us Ella."

I bowed out of respect but couldn't help the wag of my tail. 'Thank you Alpha King.' I said through the link. Alessio ticked his tongue at me, laughing.

"I'm not even going to say it, because you know what it is, don't you Ella?" I showed my teeth grinning and nodded. He chuckled, shook his head and walked away.

Both me and Azaizal grabbed a leg before walking back over to our tree to eat. I only ate a quarter before giving the rest to Azaizal. I wasn't used to eating so much. It was strange. I didn't get to eat a lot at the pack since I'm a runt. We get scraps, even if Alpha Alec did get me food, I never ate it all.

After an hour or so, everyone was awake and had eaten. So we all made sure we had everything and set off towards the castle which we would arrive at by the time lunch time comes around.
