Running on Fire

RUNNING ON FIRE is a supernatural thriller steeped in Appalachian folklore. After witnessing the murder of her moonshining daddy, Blue has to escape and hide herself and her little sister, Dolly, from a cold-blooded killer. For the last year, the Cote family has been running drills about what to do if the law ever came down on them. Their carefully crafted plan never included the murder of Blue and Dolly's daddy, Joe Cote, their only living parent. The girls don't learn about the details of Plan B, which arises if Daddy is dead, until minutes after midnight when he doesn't show up at their rendezvous. Out of desperation, guilt, and a sense of duty, Blue and Dolly have no choice but to navigate a maze of deadly booby traps that twist and turn through desecrated ground, all the while avoiding the call of a Pied Piper ghost; just so they can blow up Daddy's moonshine operation to keep people they don't even know out of jail. Daddy's one caveat to Plan B, "Be careful of the Watchers:" the dangerous fugitives who will kill anyone who comes near the moonshine camp.
