2 Why Reflect When Nothing is Wrong?

Alexia looks at him & punches his side. "Shut up, weirdo," she said jokingly.

They both laughed. John then looks back to the sunset.

"So what happened today, John?" Alexia said.

"What do you mean, Alexia? Everything went fine today."

"You can't lie to me, John. I know when something is bothering you. What happened, John? Was it Jasmine?"

"Yes. Every time I look at Jasmine talking to anyone, she looks happy," John said, looking down at the ground.

"But when I talk to her, it seems like she doesn't want to talk to me. As if I am not good enough for her," John says, looking up to the sunset.

"She doesn't even want to be friends, like everyone else. HELL, even my mom barely cares about me because I just remind her of my dad." He looks back at the sunset.

"What if she does have feelings for you? Hell, what if I secretly loved you?" she says, smiling.

"Well, do you Dimples?" She looks at John & says, "Of course not silly! I told you this already, but you would never know unless you asked."

"Quit saying the typical response that everyone says. This isn't some weird TV show," John says as he looks at Alexia.

"True," she said, laughing, "but still. You never know until you ask her."

John sighs, "I guess."
