29 Looking Around

The awkward silence as they walked around campus lasted longer in his head than what it truly was. They had already checked out the building they were in which was strictly for the new students. Of course since no one really knew each other it was often silent where really Sok was the only one talking. Mostly about his time as a farmer since Taraja had asked who were his parents. Surprisingly to shadow she didn't show disdain towards what he said. He could tell from what she wore that she was most likely from a very rich family. Her clothes were very stylish while also being enchanted. The uniform that they had to wear were still in the dorms for them so most students who hadn't gone back to their rooms had on their own clothes.

"Basically I would have to wake up every morning to train before helping out with the livestock. My father was hard on me to join the army but it seems like my teacher had put in a word to get me here after he found I had pretty good talent."

"Not to cut you off but you were able to have a personal teacher?" Taraja had looked at Sok with some type of interest after him saying this sentence.

"Yes and no he didn't do it for money. My father was in the army before he got hurt saving the life of one of his men. That man went on to be a captain and pretty strong martial artist."

"Speaking of why don't we all tell each other are strengths and what we practice. Well other than the prince since we already know pretty much."

Shadow looked at Taraja after she had said the former sentence. Then looked at Lily who was also completely surprised.

"How did you know who I was?"

"My father showed me what you look like. Don't worry I'm not a noble. My father is just a very rich merchant. So I know of the affairs of nobles but it's not my business to act in anyway."

Shadow just stared at her for a bit before turning his head.

"Wait so you weren't a noble but a prince? I'm sorry my lord if I would've knew I would've followed proper procedure." Sok was now on the ground with his head bowed and both knees touching the ground.

"There is no need for that. As you heard even I don't have status here so stop that and stand up. You can just keep calling me shadow stop the lord stuff.

"I promise I didn't tell her shadow." Lily was looking at him.

"It's ok people will find out sooner or later"

Shadow was thinking of his sister and her friends. Even though they would be at a higher level in the academy they would meet each other sooner or later. Shadow could only hope later.

"Anyway I have aspirations to be a mage and then takeover the merchant business from my father. I'm almost a sage but I have no fire element sadly but i can use light magic."

"Wow I thought we were only doing what we practiced."

Doesn't hurt to add in some info or...

"Hey get off me I did nothing to you"

"Or what you'll cry, show this loser a lesson!!"

Shadow had looked over to a scrawny and extremely pale and average looking guy. Of course he was just gonna mind his business but when he turned around to face the rest of the group. Taraja had looks of hatred while Sok looked pretty mad. Taraja was definitely the one to the extreme.

"I'll fucking destroy them!" She murmured.
