2 Character Creation

After the introduction the world ended, the area surrounding me went black again. A beat after the darkness came it left and I hear a voice.

"Hi, I am your assistant for character creation. I am here to answer most of the question that one might have about the character creation prosses," said the voice.

The only thing I could respond with was "Hi." Her excited tone of voice caught me off guard because I never expected anything so lifelike from a game, but I was told in the trailer for the game that it was just like an alternate reality. So, therefore, I sound not have been to surprise, but I was. After the shook was out of my mind I re-responded in a coherent manner.

"Hi, I'm . . . Ben, I guess, in the real world though, not here in Reality. I guess you could call me LostWord."

"Hi, LostWord, if that is would you would like to be called, I'm Kate."

"Hi, Kate. So how do I start this character creation thing?"

"Well the first step was to choose your name, but you did that already so step one is complete then. So... whats next, oh yeh, your race. You have four main options to choose from; Human, Elf, Dwarf, and Beast-Kin."

"So, what do each of the races give me as bonuses?"

"Well, the Humans are rather average across the board they have no advantages or disadvantages but they change power based on the knowledge of their past lives. Elves are the way to go for magic and change power based on the mutations in there genes. Dwarfs for crafting or slow melee combat changes power based on their heritage. Beast-Kin can change based on what beast there bloodline has in it. All effects that change the power for you character stem from luck and there are divided into common, uncommon, rare, and unique."

"Cool, so I wanna look at the Beast-Kin bloodlines I have available."

"As player, 1728, you have access to several common bloodlines and two unique ones. I'm going to assume now that you only want to see the unique ones, so here you go."

Sphinx - collecter of knowledge and questions, there are one of the most loyal and smart creatures in all of Reality. They have the tendency to hoard all knowledge to themselves just like a dragon does with wealth. If you choose the sphinx bloodline you can the ability to collect knowledge through all forms. you also get +10% int and +10% wis. +5 knowledge points.

[unknown name] - was born with the twelve gods of the universe. Has the ability to control all the rules, even opposing ones. Not much is known about this creature but it was said to look almost like a wolf. If you choose this bloodline you can understand the rules of the universe extremely quickly as well as utilize all of them. you get +15% to all stats. +12 knowledge points.

I was speechless, I couldn't believe what I was seeing on the hovering screen in front of me. An unknown creature that was born with the gods themselves. What the heck!!!!!! Ah, screw it, if the game gave me this option, I'm going to use it and abuse it to become the most powerful chosen even. I'm also just going to assume that the other races won't have any better options for me because this is a way to OP, but I couldn't care less.

"Uhh, Kate?"

"Yes, LostWord."

"First of all just call me Lost or Word I don't really care which so pick one. Next, I would like to chose the unknown bloodline."

"That is perfectly fine Word. As the explanation of the bloodline shows the creature apparently resembled a wolf, so most people will think that you only have a wolf bloodline."

"Ok, cool, so no one will know about my bloodline ability and history?"

"That is correct."

"Perfect, so whats next."

"Stats. As a pre-orderer of the game, you receive a bonus 10 stat points to start the game with. You start with 25 stat points plus the 10 equals 35. Then add the unique bloodline bonus of 20 stat points. your total comes out to be 55 stat points. There are seven main stats at the start of the game: Constitution (CON) - relates to the amount of health you have [1 point = 10hp], Strength (STR) - relates to the amount of physical damage you can deal [1 point = 2 attack], Agility (AGI) - relates to how fast you can move in all actions [1 point = 1% to baseline running speed], Dextarity (DEX) - relates to how adept you are at persice movements [1point = 1% boost in persision], Intelegence (INT) - relates to how muct magical damage you can deal [1 point = 2 attacks], Wisdom (WIS) - relates to how large you manna pool is [1 point = 10mp], Luck. Every stat starts at one for your character."

"You said that these were the seven main stats. What are the others?"

"I cannot divulge that information to your, they are for the player to discover."

"Ok, so if I'm going to be a magic focused character I need INT, WIS, DEX, and some AGI, but due to my bloodline I get a significant boost to my baseline stats themselves, so I should invest in all of my stats. Hey Kate,"

"Yes Word"

"I would like to put 5 points into all of my stats and then put 2 more into INT, WIS, and DEX."

"Can do, and done. After this point, you get 5 stat points (sp) per level as well as 1 ability point (ap) ever 3 levels, and one knowledge point (kp) every 10 levels."

"What are knowledge point used for?"

"They are knowledge about the rules of Realty."

With this information, I can assume that the 12 kp are for each of the 12 main rules. Therefore with this bloodline, I'm supposed to go down the path of wielding the power of all 12 of the rules of Reality. Most other players would have only 1kp at lv 10 while I would have 13, but I cant assume that because if the Beast-Kin have bloodlines I'm sure the other races have a similar system in place. Based on how absurd my bloodline is I'm guessing that 12kp is absurd. I'm sure that unique gets 5 kp, then I'm guessing rare gets 3 and uncommon gets 1. I'm going to guess that the bonus sp are the same and fall under the same pattern as the kp. Ap are so few because chances are that you can gain ability in a skill without the need for ap, same with knowledge of the rules just a lot harder.

"So Kate, am I done now?"

"Yes, but where would you like to spawn in."

"Oh, I don't care about the location, just that it is beast-kin dominated and has the largest library available."

"Ok, off you go then to the capital of the Beast-Kin. And just for your information, I would have sent you there anyway. Well by now, have fun and don't die, the penalty is not fun. Like at all."

"Thanks, I guess"

My world once again faded to black and then came flaring back to life.
