3 Chapter 5

"LUNA!" I called as my father dragged me away. "No father! Please, let me go!" I say as tears fall down my cheeks. "Why are you just leaving her like that, Father? We have to go back and help her!" I say while bawling.

"Senata, we have no choice. If you had stayed she wouldn't be able to fight because of the risk of hurting you." he said.

"B-but Father!" I say while crying into his shoulder. After walking for some time we arrived at the south gate.

I hear Eclipse's voice yell "FATHER, SENATA! YOU'RE SAFE!" As her and Mother came running toward the two of us, we embraced in a hug.

"Oh thank the Ancients you're okay! We were so worried when the guards brought us out here and we couldn't find you two!" Mother said.

As soon as she said that there was a loud boom and a bright light that had come from the castle.

"What was that?" Eclipse and I said in unison.

We glanced at our parents looking for some sort of answer, but they didn't respond. I didn't care because I knew Luna was in trouble, so I ran. I didn't know what I was going to do. But I knew I had to help my sister. I could hear the shouts of my father to come back but I didn't stop. I kept running. I could hear Luna speaking and saw a bright light illuminating the halls of the castle. I didn't stop running. When I got to the ballroom, the light was gone. I couldn't feel her magic anymore. Without skipping a beat, I slammed the doors open and I saw Rose crying over Luna who was in her lap. She looked like she was... dead.

I ran to the two of them and I heard Rose saying "Lu... Lu, please wake up... come on please... Please! If you don't wake up I don't know what I'll do without you! Please..."

When I reached them Rose looked up at me while crying and she said "S-Senata, I can't heal her. She is cold and I can't feel a pulse."

"N-no." I say crumbling to my knees, sobbing into my dress. When I look up I notice Luna's staff lying on the floor next to her and Rose. Something was pulling me towards it. I get up and grab it. As soon as I touch it, my cheek feels hot. Like something is being burned onto it. But I don't pay it any mind as I am hoisted into the air and a flood of memories come back.

As this happens Luna's staff turns into nothing more than a crystal in one of my hands and in the other, another crystal formed and as if I was being controlled, I clasped my hands together and then when I pulled them apart a large bow formed. As soon as I grabbed it I wasn't the same person. My hair became a creme color and my dress wasn't the same. It was a skintight, strapless dress. I had armlets with sleeves like Luna as well as boots.

"WHO DID THIS TO MY SISTER?" I yelled as I spotted the other two vessels and the purple hair girl.

"It was her. That... that monster did this to Lu.." Rose said while pointing to the girl with the purple hair.

"Step aside." I say to the other two

"Gladly. You're scary and I don't want to get on your bad side." says Jaclyn.

"Me too." Celia said.

As I draw my bow I say "YOU WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID TO MY SISTER AND ME!" And I fired it, striking her in the middle of her chest.

"Well princesses, I know when to retreat... but I will claim my prize once again! I promise you that." She said before she disappeared into the darkness.

I turned towards the others and looked to my sister. I separated the two crystals once more before returning it to Luna. As soon as the crystal was returned to her, her body became warm again and Rose felt a pulse and healed her as much as she could. But she still wouldn't wake up.

"She needs to rest and only time will tell." She said. We carried her to our room and I asked the others to stay until after she woke up.

When Mother and Father were told what happened, they rushed to her side where we all stayed until sunrise the next day, waiting for her to wake up. Days turned to weeks and before I knew it she had been in a coma-like state for three months. I rarely left her side or slept. Rose would urge me to sleep and I wouldn't. She would slip me herbs that would make me fall asleep. When I woke up I would train with my bow then return to her side. I know Celia, Jack, and Rose were worried about me but I didn't care. I was like this until the day she woke up. But she didn't for a long time and she showed no signs of waking up. I blamed myself for not getting to her in time, for her not waking up, and most of all not killing the person who did this to her.

Six months into her coma and still no signs of her waking up. Everyone was starting to worry even more than ever because her body was rejecting her royal stone. Rejecting its life force. And there was nothing we could do about it. If her body completely rejected it she would be gone for good. She would die.
