8 Chapter 10

I laid there in Luna's arms for what felt like forever, not wanting to lose this moment.

"Sena, your food is here," Lucas said as he placed his hand on my back, and I pulled away from the hug and looked at him. Embarrassed, he moved his hand but not before the others noticed.

"A little handsy are we, Sir Lucas?" Jack said in a joking manner, and the blush on his face only grew.

"Ohhh now I get it. Is there something you're not telling us, 'Sena?' Hmmm?" Rose joined in.

"Like, come on! You don't even let us call you that!" she said.

"Come on, 'Sena,' spill! Are you two finally a thing?" Jack pried as she and Rose made their way across the room to me and Lucas.

"I mean it isn't like we are royal stones too, so keep you secrets 'Sena,'" Celia said as she started giggling as well.

"F-fine we are 'a thing', as you called it." I yelled while blushing like crazy. I look at Lucas and he is blushing too.

"How long?" Jack said abruptly.

"How long?" I said, confused,

"How long have you been together?" Rose said impatiently.

"Why do you want to know?" I said

"They placed bets on how long it would take to realize each other's feelings. Jack said it wouldn't be until Luna woke up. But Rose said you two would get together before that." Celia said.

I looked at the two girls and said, "You placed bets on me!" I stood up and summoned my bow to my hand.

"S-Senata it isn't w-what you think" Rose said as she flared her arms around.

"Oh really? Then what was it then?" I said.

"Okay, it is what you think." Jack said.

"Three." I said as I smiled creepily.

And I noticed Lucas stood up next to me and drew his sword.

"Two." He said, sounding just as pissed as I was. This in turn made Rose and Jack scared.

"Shit." the two of them said as they both summoned their stones.

"One." Lucas and I said at the same time.

As I charged my arrow at Rose, Lucas ran at Jack but the both dodged the attacks and ran out of the room. I looked to Lucas and nodded.

"Get back here, cowards!" I yelled as I ran out of the room to follow them.

I saw my sister run out of the room and laughed as the tall winged woman came over to me and helped me to the table with all the food.

"She really loves him, doesn't she?" she said.

"She really does. Even though I couldn't hear anything but her. I can tell he loves her just as much as she loves him." I said as she handed me a cup of water.

"Oh thank you um...-" I was cut off by a very loud boom. I panicked but she was very calm.

"That took longer than I thought. Oh, and my name is Celia." she said "You are still bad at names, just like when we were chicks," her happy expression turned sad.

"Ow! That hurt, she didn't have to go full force on us!" Rose whined as she entered the room again.

"Tell me about it. She is just like you Lu." the other girl said.

"How?" I asked

"Powerful and merciless." Rose responded.

"No duh! They are the twin daughters of two of the most powerful royals who have ever lived!" Celia responded.

"Yep. And the marks on their cheeks prove that." Jack said.

"Mark on my cheek..?" I said, confused. The three of them looked at me.

"Yeah, all of us carry the mark of the chosen, it burns itself onto our skin when we first summon our stone." Rose said while handing me a mirror. As I looked at my face I saw it. There was a small golden moon with a circle in the middle, the mark was identical to Senata's.

"Senata got hers while she was protecting all of us." Rose said as she flopped onto her bed.

"What do you mean, 'protecting all of us?'" I asked.

"That's all for now." Celia said. Jack and I started to eat.

"Oh I get it! I fight you, so you run to my sister," Senata said behind me. "and Rose! Get out of my bed!"

I laughed as Rose shot up and scampered out of her bed.

"Oh, and Rose... I have a bet for you. If you don't tell you-know-who your feelings today... you have to train with me." Senata said, causing Rose to blush.

"You like someone, Rose?" Celia said.

"He must be a lucky guy." Jack said. She looked hurt.

"T-they are." Rose stammered out. As they all sat down at the table, we talked and I noticed that Jack hadn't said anything.

"Are yo-" I started but she stood up and went to leave.

"Where are you going Jack?" Rose asked her.

"To my room," she said and it was obvious that she was upset. "I just.... need some time to think." She left the room.

"I'm going after her..." Rose said and she stood up and left as well.
