I am just an ordinary kid in a public school. I enjoyed playing volleyball since I am part of the school's varsity team. I also help my aunt and uncle in their ranch after school. Yes, I admit that it is kind of fun working in the ranch.
People are wondering what my mother looks like. They have not seen her in ages since I was born. I was adopted by my aunt and uncle. Most people wonder why my surname is different from my aunt and uncle . The reason is this I am not yet legally adopted by my aunt and uncle, and I am still using my mother's surname.
I have a boyfriend named Marx. He is good looking. He is also a volleyball player. We are about to engage when I found out that he is dating this girl named Annie Jones. She is much prettier than me. She came from a rich family like Marx.
Sometimes, I hate rich people because they are very sensitive, meticulous and snob. And sometimes, I envied them because they have money to buy everything they want. Rich kids can even go to the best colleges if they want to.
It was after high school graduation when Marx and I broke up. He said he still loves me but I can no longer believe him. And, my aunt brought me to New York to meet a very special someone who would change my life forever. It is my mom, Elizabeth Burke.
Elizabeth Burke is a well - known high class fashion designer. She receives lots of good critics for her collections. But for me, I do not care who she is. What I care much about her concern for me as her daughter.
Life in New York is so much different from my hometown. As the only daughter of Elizabeth Burke, I can buy many fancy things. I have the most fancy clothes from different designers. I have my own jewelries. I also drive my own car. And, my mother and I always attend grand parties of the rich and famous. I had my photos on the society's page. I had become a cover girl in one of the famous fashion magazine.
One day, my mother decided that I should work in her company as her apprentice. She said that this is my stepping stone to become a world class designer like her. And she trained me to become familiar with the raw materials and create my own designs until I have my own set of collections.
My mother urged me to go to Elvira Locks to show her my collection. Elvira Locks is a New York's top fashion editor. Yes, she is kinda tough and strict. That makes me nervous. She gave me the grade of B+. And she wrote in her column article entitled, "What Does It Take To become Jessica Burke?"
I received lots of praises from my critics. Some called me gifted. Some called me a fashion icon of the young generation. Some called me the princess of the fashion industry. Some called me the darling of New York. And, Elvira Locks is fond of me. She introduced me to her only son, Samuel. Samuel is in Columbia University taking Applied Business Administration. This summer, he is helping his mother in her office as her apprentice.
Samuel likes me. We always go out together like watching a movie, strolling at the park or eating in a restaurant. He tells me how much he really love me. And we started our relationship together.
And, Marx came to my life again. He went to New York for college. Sometimes we have coffee at the finest coffee shop in New York. And Sam found this out that we are going out together. I tried to explain it to him that he is just an old friend from my hometown.
Sam became jealous of Marx. For him, Marx is his bitter rival. He is also became overprotective of me.
I became more confused between Sam and Marx. It seems that I liked them both. Both of them are fine gentlemen and good looking. I also aware that I am in relationship with Sam, and Marx is just part of my past who keeps coming back to me. Can anyone help me on this problem?
