Prologue

Lan wiped the blood on her cheek, smearing it on her white skin even more. She smiled sweetly at the man in front of her.

Her words made goosebump appear on his arms and when her cold eyes met his he stiffened.

"Did you really think you hid it well from me?" Her voice floated in the silent night as her white gown fluttered in the wind.

He avoided her gaze, his face shadowed with guilt, yet he sighed and waved his wrist, a tall man stepped forward and pointed a gun at her.

"You left me with no choice sweetheart, just hand it over now and I'll give you a quick death".

The smile on her face bloomed under the moonlight and she suddenly chuckled, the temperature around her dropped a few degrees. "Never"

The dashing young man's face scrunched up in anger when the word left her lips and the deeply hidden viciousness appeared in his eyes.

"Kill her!" he shouted furiously.

Yet Lan just smirked and before anyone could move an explosion rang out, startling the bustling crowd down below as they pointed at the flames on the tall building which lit up the night sky.
