Chapter 0: BEFORE YOU READ

Hello!

Before you read this story that I spent too long on creating in my head, you should know a couple of things. This story is inspired by the Silent Hill series. (Mostly 2 & 3) So, I'll follow similar themes, which includes the multiple endings.

Now, if you're wondering how the fuck I'm going to do this without making a massive headache for the reader, I have a simple system. The story will have three endings, one alternate ending, plus a joke ending. Those being:

1) Happy Never After

2) A Promise Kept

3) The Fallen Hero

4) Nemesis

5) The Fool

(I'll let you guess which-is-which...)

Just like Silent Hill, the story will stay on a one-way path for the most part. Only changing if an item/action is found or preform. So, there will be chapters dedicated to these actions. But for the sake of you and me, I will be labeling each chapter is involved in one end.

In other words, if a chapter title isn't framed like this...

Then it's not part of any of the endings. It's straightforward from there. (Also, there's no true ending. I decided to make that your decision.)

Now, with that out of the way, I like to mention one last thing. This story is part of a series of tales about the hell hole known as Rosethorn. But don't worry, dear reader! You don't need to read one story to get another. There's no overarching plot or anything of the sorts. (Since there's not true ending and sorts.) All the stories are self-contained and not related to another.

The only strings that connect each story that. It takes place in Old Rosethorn, the general themes and ideas, a reference or two from another story, and a couple of characters. So, pick and choose.
