1 Acceptance Letter

" Yuki! "

I could hear my name being called from downstairs and hurry along, I quickly finish dressing and pull my hair up into a ponytail, no later than 1 minute after the first time my name was called I could hear anger begin to boil in the woman's voice who was calling me.

" YUKI HIROSHIMAE! "

It got my adrenaline pumping and I quickly but hesitantly walk down the squeaky staircase to find my mother waiting for me at the bottom with her hands on her hips, she was holding a fine paper in her hand that had a recognizable seal on the front.

( That's the Rose Academy seal! )

For a second I was excited but quickly brought back in Despair as my mother begins to yell once again.

" Young lady are you deaf?! " I lower my eyes to the floor

" N-no mother I was just getting dressed and-"

Before I could finish my sentence her hand landed across my cheek. I stumble and land onto the staircase and look up to her a bit teary-eyed.

" That's enough with your ridiculous excuses! You ungrateful child!! How dare you apply to such a place without my permission!"

( But...)

"But mother you and Principal Yoko filed out the paperwork months ago! It was a suggestion and you accepted! "

She stood there dazed for a brief moment before realizing her mistake then came a knock on the door behind her, she quickly darted a vicious glare my way as to say don't you dare speak, and then opens the door with a poker face.

" Yes, how can I help you? "

I stood up and was shocked to see 2 older men who looked to be in their early 30s, they were well dressed in suits and dark black sunglasses, the one who was in front had neatly slicked back brown hair while the other had short curly brown hair, the one with the curly hair had one hand in his pocket while he held a black briefcase in the other hand. The guy in front noticed my gaze and smirked at me then looked back towards my very confused mother.

" Mrs. Hiroshimae were here to collect your daughter Ms. Yuki to go to the prestigious school Rose Academy, As you are aware from the notes in your hands your daughter was specifically selected by not only the Prime Minister of this capital but also headmaster Hitachi Ryoko himself, we believe that Yuki will make an excellent and exceptional student at our Academy, not only did your daughter score a remarkable 100 percent on her entrance exam but she also grabbed the attention of 2 hierarchies Of this Nation! "

Once his speech was over my mother's attitude changed rather quickly,

" Oh, you don't say!! That is wonderful news! "

She continued talking as I was dumbfounded by her response from just 5 minutes prior, it wasn't till I felt a hand touch my face that I was brought back to reality and quickly jumped back in fright, I quickly felt embarrassed once I realized it wasn't my mother. The curly head guy was standing right in front of me with a frown, he shifted his gaze to my mother.

" How did she get this bruise on her cheek? It looks fresh! "

You could tell the atmosphere quickly changed to dense from excitement rather quickly and my mother began to play her usual act.

" Oh my! My dear Yuki gets into a lot of trouble she's still a bit immature you see..."

She was cut off by the first guy with slick brown hair taking off his sunglasses and she trailed off losing all faith in her excuse. It took me less than 3 seconds to realize who the slick brown-haired Bright green-eyed man was. My Mother instantly bowed in respect.

" I'm so sorry sir Lee Ryoko, if I knew it was you I-"

He cut her off and grabbed the letter from her hands then smirked at her.

" Mrs. Hiroshimae, next time you feel you should lay your hands on another person maybe you should reconsider because next time I'm sure you might lose a hand or 2...maybe even your life? "

His voice was bitterly cold, it sent shivers through my spine, his gaze then landed on me and his expression went from cold to compassion in a mere 3 seconds.

"Go gather your things, you will stay at the school dorms from now on."

I couldn't help but smile with joy.

(Oh my gosh this can't be happening! Right? This is a dream come true!!)

I quickly run back upstairs with a big smile on my face and pack all of my necessities that I will need and make my way back downstairs after a couple of minutes. My mother was sitting at the kitchen table talking with the curly-headed guy and the other one pointed at a car that was parked out front.

" Go ahead and get in this won't take much longer, ok? "

I nod back at him politely and take one last sad glance at my mother.

( I hope she'll be ok here without me...)

She sensed me staring at her and looked up locking eyes with me, instead of a sweet goodbye she just rolled her eyes and went back to her conversation completely ignoring me, the moment told tugged at my heart.

( Why must you be so wicked towards me...what have I done? )

The question lingers in my thoughts as I get into the back of the car and look out the window back at my home. I was filled with excitement but also despair about what's going to happen next. will this be a good start to something new or just another bad situation for me...after some much thought I came up with only one answer that seemed fitting for the moment.

( I guess it couldn't be much worse than it is now, right? )

I sigh and that's when the door to my home finally opens, and out walks the two men from before, I became nervous once more when I recalled the moment earlier.

( Oh gosh this is the Headmaster's 3 son, I can't believe he came for me?!? And wait!! Did he say I made a 100 percent on my entrance exam! )

My heart was beating so rapidly, it made me very happy to know I made a perfect score! I studied all night for years for this...Without my mother's knowledge of course... my train of thought was once again interrupted when they both opened the car doors and got in. Once in Mr. Ryoko looks back at me with a grin.

" So you know! You and 11 others were the only ones to get a perfect score so try to behave yourself ok? "

I blushed at his words

(Me?!? I haven't done anything wrong! ) " y-yes sir! "
