Where is my son!

I could feel Lilly becoming uneasy. All the women were out of the way so the men and warriors could search the town. Once the got settled I joined the search I wasn't about to let someone take and hurt my child. I began checking rooms like the rest of them when I came down the hall to find a little girl crying.

"Sweetheart what's wrong?" I knelt down and she looked up at me.

"I asked that mean princess lady to help me find my mommy and she pushed me down. Now looked an my knee" I looked and saw she had a scratch but I suppose to a 4yr old it mean the end of the world.

I smiled and scooped her in my arms.

"Come my child let me take you to her."

I walked back to the living room and looked around until someone pointed me in the direction of where her mother could be. Once I found her I kissed her knee and went back on my search.

Someone has to have seen something!

It's been days and no one has seen or heard thing. The man on the phone hasn't called back and we are no way closer to finding him. I was walking to find Zeke when I heard shouting from Coles office.

"Princess please! We need more resources to find my son."

"I'm sorry but until the deal is done my hands are tied."

Then Zeke jumped in.

"Can't you call it a measure of good faith."

I heard Veronica laugh "trust me faith is the reason I am so adamant about this treaty. It's simple you both agree to marry me and I will send all of the available warriors I have to help in this search."

Now it all makes sense. This was veronicas plan all along to get Zeke and Cole away from me. I knew that it was fishy for Colton to disappear without a trace. He's still here some where on these grounds and I need to find him. I decided against knocking and heading back down the hall running straight into Liam and Violet.

"Are you going back out?" I nodded.

"I'm going to find him. I just need to talk to a witch."

Liam looked at violet then at me" a witch but what for?"

"I need to know how long a spell can mask a wolfs scent someone on the inside did this."

Liam gulped and paused for a moment" well we can go see my step mother Cel and I think I know who did this." He looked down at the floor.

"Who Liam?" I took a step closer towards him. Liam couldn't find the words to speak so violet spoke for him.

"His mother Veronica." She spat out.

"Veronica is dead isn't she?" I knew the answer but suddenly things were becoming clearer. The moon goddess clearly wouldn't have helped her which means someone else did. And I'm beginning to realize just who that person is.

"Say it Liam" I stared. Finally he looked at me.

"I released her from the spirit realm on accident and everything is my fault. She said she would help me and I thought she loved me but everything was a lie I thought I was getting my mother back." My anger suddenly disappeared I felt sorry for him. To the world he was supposed to act like a man but I could see he was still a broken boy who wanted to be loved by his mother.

"Oh Liam, you have always had a mother. She just might not have been in the form you thought she would come in. Cel has always been there for you."

"But she didn't give birth to me."

"Well that is true, but many people can give birth and that doesn't always make them a mother. In Cels case she is much more special. I didn't give birth to you yet she decided to step up and love you like her own anyways. Step parents are just as important as any other parent if not more. They choose to taken on the broken hearts and love them until they don't feel broken anymore. All you have to do is let her."

Liam knew in that moment All the things he put Cel through and I knew that after this he was going to need to have a nice long talk with her and they were finally going to have a relationship.

"Liam where is Cel now?"

"She should be in her room down the hall." I nodded and let him lead the way. Sure enough when we knocked Cel opened the door and let us in. I let Liam speak and tell us the full story. Then I asked her a few question of my own about masking scents and spell. After some time Cel figures it out.

"I've got it! If we set the crystals around the border it will cleanse the territory and all spells will cancel out including the scent masking"

"Okay we need to be careful and split up we don't have much time before the King's sign the treaty and it will be too late."

Everyone nodded and cel began grabbing all the crystals she could find in her room. Once we each had our back packs full of them we separated. I just hope this works because once I get my son I will kills Veronica once and for all.
