64 Sixty-Four

It was several weeks later that I summoned to the Kings office. I had forgotten how imposing a massive office of silver and gold was. I waited for him to speak, and he fixed me with an incredibly serious look.

"Rose, do you know what the mana test is?" I tilted my head and he explains,

"It's a test to determine mana capacity... Anyways yours is today, so just follow me." He then got up and started to walk quickly down the hall. Naturally I had to Sprint to keep up and my knight finally just picked me up.

The tester was pretty much a giant fortune teller's ball. Yep, I'm kinda let down. My mom and the Queen were here, as well as several men I didn't recognize and my stepdad. I looked at the King and he gestured for me to touch it, so I did. Bad mistake. Do you know what happens when your capacity is like ten times more then it's capacity? It blows up. Yes. Blows up. I happened to be right next to it too, my guard was against the wall and no where near me, and suspiciously enough, so was everyone else but my stepdad and those men. People who knew me in my magic days didn't dare get near me. I wish I had been warned.

So, now that you know that what happens to the person right next to it? You say they get blown away, and pretty much attacked by every element, and thrown out a two-story window? Give the man a medal. Yeah. The fact that I didn't get killed by that is astonishing. So yeah, if you think you have ended up in a fantasy world after reincarnating, and also think you have cheats like me, do yourself a favor and do not touch that damned orb. Otherwise you'll spend a week being apologized to after you've been discharged. Yeah. I have a feeling whatever the god of this world or (God's?) they are totally toying with me. Are you enjoying my pain? HUH? ARE YOU?!!!! -Ahem-

So, after I healed from that debacle, I sat in my bedroom and studied the proposal I was writing about the slavery and kidnapping issues our country was still having. Why was I working in my room? Well, you see I was forbidden from working in the office more then three days a week and could only work in the mornings, so the work passed to me was lighter non-essential things that I could finish quickly. So I decided I would turn my sights to a pressing issue on this topic. Because now those children were being made into super weapons. Yep.
