13 I'm not going to eat you

As Marcela had predicted, it did take about five or so minutes for them to walk across the campus to a brown building that matched almost all the other buildings. The writing on it did 'Admin' along with other writing that she didn't really pay attention to.

She did watch however as Marcela opened the door, she wanted to make sure she remembered how to do it herself when she needed to as the doors on the college buildings were different from the ones on her aunt's house. This seemed easier to open to her however as they appeared to rely on pulling outward to open rather than having to twist anything.

"Come inside dear. There's a few other people around but nothing to be worried. I have friend who'll be able to help you right away so you won't even have to wait in line." she assured the younger woman as she led her around the people she saw waiting in line or talking to someone through a window that was cut out in the wall. humans were indeed strange.

Marcela lead Apryl to the other side of a building where a young man was standing and chatting with a woman in a very animated manner.

"Keith! there you are boy, I need your help with something." Marcela called out to the other who stopped talking and turned to look at them.

There was no doubt in Apryl's mind the moment that she met Keith that he was a werewolf. She could the difference in presence coming from him as well as in the scent difference. Whether or not he realized she was werewolf as was what she was uncertain about.

He stood at least 6'3 with short slate black hair that was cut in a shaggy manner that framed his somewhat boyish looking face (Perhaps he was younger than her?), ice blue eyes were hidden behind small round black glasses frames. He was wearing a dark blue button up shirt that complimented his eyes matched with back jeans and dress shoes.

"Oh my Marcela. So early in the morning and you've already brought me someone? I'm going to end up getting in trouble because of you one of these days." Apryl could tell by the tone and smile that he flashed that he was joking with the older woman.

"Oh nonsense. Your real job doesn't even start for another hours. I only bring them to you anyways because you seem to be so good at helping out those who are new around here." Marcela replied, returning the smile as Apryl stood quietly next to her.

"You know I just give what I got when I came here. Returning the kindness forward as they say." Keith turned to look at you younger woman before he continued speaking. "New student is it, what're we needing today? Class guide? Missing paperwork? Forgotten form or in need of your student ID?" He rattled the questions of rather quickly for Apryl.

"Um, I just need to actually start getting the admission progress started actually. My aunt said it shouldn't be too late to get into second block classes." She explained as the other just nodded while listening intently.

"I see. So you need help with everything then. No worries I can get you sorted." He assured her, flashing another kind smile.

"Keith, she only also has her birth certificate for ID with her. She hasn't had a chance to get another state ID yet." Marcela warned him as he got ready to head off. He stopped for a second when she said this and looked at Apryl.

There wasn't more than maybe a five second pause between him stopping to stare at her with a look she couldn't read but it felt like an eternity before he spoke.

"That shouldn't be a problem. You can leave it to me. I've dealt with a few other students who face been missing ID for some reason or other. As long as I explain the situation and they knew it'll be taken care of sooner rather than late, it shouldn't prove to be an obstacle. If you'd like to sit at the table there, I'll be back shortly with the right forms for you." Apryl only nodded her head when he said this.

"Go ahead and take a seat dear, it'll take him a few minutes to come back with everything. You don't have anything to be worried with him, he's a good one and will do everything he can to make sure that you get taken care. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to my own work, but I look forward to seeing you around the campus soon." Marcela patted Apryl.

"Thank you for your help. I guess I'll um let you know once I've found out if I'm accepted or not." she replied to the older woman.

Once she had left, Apryl stood for a moment or two feeling uncertain about what she should do.

Keith had said he would be right back, but she didn't know if she could trust him. Another werewolf among humans could still be a threat even if he didn't seem like one.

She didn't really want to give up this opportunity to enroll however and decided to take a sit at one of the square tables that was off to the side. The chair had a rough wooden back but it wasn't exactly uncomfortable to sit in. Other people walked past her but no one seemed interested in trying to stop and talk to her. She was thankful for this and assumed it was because no yet knew her since she was new. She would be happy if it stayed that way for the entire time that she was there.

"Sorry to make you wait, there was someone else already there ahead of me so I had to wait for them to finish first." Keith apologized as he came back over.

"It's okay, you didn't make me wait for very long." Apryl as she gave him a wary look when he decided to sit in the seat opposite of her.

"Should we get started? I expect that you'll need some help filling some of this information out." He was being kind, but it just made Apryl that much more uncomfortable. He seemed to notice her hesitancy when she didn't reply to him right away. "Don't worry, it's not like I'm going to eat you." he chuckled when he said it, but that didn't stop her from shooting his a look of disbelief.

"You're not the first one that has come around that I've needed to help with." He shrugged as she started sorting the paperwork in the correct order it needed to be filled out in.

"And you just happen to offer to help always?" She realized that it probably came across as more harsh than she meant, but he didn't seem to take offense.

"Should I not? We all come from the same place of just trying to survive right now. Now, it doesn't mean that I'm always nice, but I won't bite first without reason. So if that's your only concern, I suggest we get back to the task at hand, you have a lot of stuff to fill out and the sooner it's done, the better for you it'll be." He flashed her another charming smile as he the paperwork in front of her. For a werewolf he was an odd one.

"I don't know what half of this stuff is though." Apryl had to admit after she started looking the paperwork over.

"So you do need help filling it out. You mentioned an Aunt, what did she send with you before you came here?" Keith asked as he took the paperwork back from her. She started rummaging in the pocket of her pants. Pulling out a few pieces of paper she laid it out on the table.

It consisted of the hand drawn map Lydia gave her, the birth certificate, and two other pieces of paper with writing and numbers she didn't really understand but her aunt said she would need.

"So you have address, birth certificate, emergency contact..." Keith was talking to himself as he looked over the paper Apryl had put on the table while filling out the correct spots on the form without asking her to do. It really mustn't have been the first time that he had helped out a werewolf in her position. "What about family information?"

"Family information?" She asked, tilting her head slightly out of confusion.

"Like parents name, age and such." He clarified. "Since according to your birth certificate you're still a dependent of your parents, I need to put their information down here as well."

"Oh. um. My mother's name is Summer, and My father's Brazen, but I don't think that would hold as a acceptable name.." She felt bothered by this dilemma as her father wasn't there for her to ask what he would prefer she change his name to. She didn't even consider asking her Mom because she felt it would be too much of a difficult or awkward question.

"How about Braeden then? It's similarish but not to far different from his real name." Keith suggested, mulling it over for a few seconds before he wrote the name down on a separate piece of paper along with Brazen so that she could see what they looked like. She took note of how delicate and neat his hand writing was.

"I guess that would work." She replied not really having a reason to object to it. He wrote it down and became quiet as he continued writing down the information.

"What degree are you interested in?" The sudden question caught Apryl off guard, she hadn't really thought about it.

"Business? Something I can help my family with I was thinking." She replied after thinking for a few minutes.

"Alright." She watched as he wrote something down on a small piece of paper that was not part of the paperwork he was filling out. "You're missing a few things, but don't worry, I will get that taken care of for you. I'll try to shortcut the process so that you can get in by tomorrow, but I need your aunt to get me this few things and fax it to this number, assuming you have a fax machine." She took the note he handed out and tried to read what it said, she couldn't make out most of the words though.

"Thank you." She said before sticking the paper in her pocket so that she didn't lose it.

"No worries. Like I said, you don't have to worry about me, I'm not going to eat you or bite unless I'm provoked first and you don't seem like the type of person to purposely provoke someone so I think we'll get along fine. I have to leave to start my real job now, but I'll make sure this get submitted." Keith reached out and ruffled her hair before standing up and starting to walk away. She somehow felt very offended by this simple action.
