2 A brief flashback..

Alex was a normal high school student ( at least in the eyes of people surrounding him). How he was born was unknown as he was accepted in an orphanage when he was some months old. The caretaker saw him lying in the garden of the courtyard in his birthday suit. At the age of 2, he was taken in by C.E.O of an emerging company.

His father's name was Steve Luminous. He was an womanizer but due to an incident nearly 2 decades ago he did not marry anyone. Alex was adopted because he wanted a child without marrying anyone. Steve was a handsome man who despite being 42 actually looked like in his late twenties. He was 6'1" just a little bit shorter than Alex and has well built muscular body. He was strict and a very loving father. he was very pleased with Alex due to his potential and wanted him to take over his company worth a few billions, but alas Alex never wanted to be a businessman.

Alex was quite normal albeit a bit intelligent and cute boy till he was 6 years of age. But one day an incident happened and Alex who was studying to play a piano suddenly had a strong headache like his head was being split open. The tutor made haste and called his father and doctor. The doctor came in nearly 15 minutes but when he checked Alex he found nothing wrong. Alex's headache lasted for 2 weeks and he was bedridden all the time. His father took leave and did all the instructions on phone and through his secretary. He never left Alex's sight till he got better.

All the doctors called were helpless but Alex suddenly got better nearly after 2 weeks. He looked like he suddenly matured, his eyes showed intelligence not at all like a 6 year old. He kept getting some strange dreams and random knowledge about different stuff. His body was getting stronger and he had an impulse to train everyday. School became too easy for him and he skipped class till he learned everything a normal school had to offer. In-fact he was very good with technology and secretly was one of the most renowned hackers of the world ( with secret identity as a middle aged man).

When he was 11, he met his aunt who introduced him into world of magic. His life was quite enjoying except his father kept pestering him about joining his company. And well he also wanted him to enjoy a normal high school life. It happened due to a recent events when he beat local punks on the street, caught some murderers, helped a thief escape (yes you didn't see it wrong) and finally molested a girl who was daughter of richest man in the city as well as his fathers trusted friend and partner. His father felt funny and anger on this act, and after some discussion with the girl's father Andrew Gale, he decided that his son should enter the same school as Riko Gale.

Alex went home which was a huge mansion with a huge garden, park, gym etc. He didn't wanted to attract attention so he went school on foot. Not that it matters as he could teleport home directly but it was not good to disclose this fact, so he teleported at some distance from home after spending some time visiting the market. On the gate of the building he was greeted by his personal maid Yami Luminous:

Yami- "welcome home master. how was your first day at school"

Alex- "mmm.. Good evening Yami, it was just ok. And you don't have to call me master just call me by my name"

Yami- " B-but how can that be. I am y-your personal maid"

Alex- "but we are friends are we not"

Yami- "yes we are but I have to properly perform my duties sir"

Alex- "*sigh* what ever, just let me have something. I am quite hungry"

Yami - "as you wish sir"

After that he went to shower and then recalled... Yami was a distant relative of him. She was a very cheerful girl and quite a beauty. After his father cut off ties with his family, her parents were one of the few people who kept visiting him. But five years ago, her parents died in a plane crash and left a big debt behind. Almost all their property was taken. To save Yami from people with evil schemes, his dad took her in as his maid. But since that day, she kept treating his like her master and their friendship felt a bit distant.

Slowly she opened upto him but an incident a week ago was heard by her. And she was acting coldly to him when she heard that he molested a girl.

It was night time and Alex was planning for his next hunt. Yes that's right after the event ten years ago he kept on getting knowledge about magic and martial arts. He was 12, when he hunted his first devil. But his target included other creatures and beings also. He always targeted those ones which harmed the innocents and made them his training targets. Though his last hunt created a lot of problems for himself, he was not going to back down.. not ever..

'Hmm.. seems like I should attack that vampire pack in Venelette city. Their leader is romoured to be quite strong and they have been sucking too much blood lately. The problem is when should i strike"his thoughts were interrupted when he got a new message o his phone.

"Alex its urgent. Seems like S.D.O is going to act against your new girl tonight. You know what I mean. It seems like she has something special about her so they are planning to use her for some ritual"

'dammit that girl again. And what does he mean by my new girl.. that old man. Its only because of him that I am in this mess. Guess I will have to keep an eye on her. Stray devil organisation is always upto some shady business. I will charge her especially for this protection business..JUST YOU WAIT RIKO GALE'

And with that though he teleported from his room. Had he known what was waiting for him there, he would have reconsidered.

It was going to be a long dark night.....
