Rockman ZX - Aile x Pandora (Post ZX Advent)

*Disclaimers: This is based on the games from Capcom and just a fanfiction, all of this is just purely Fanon for entertaining purposes. It takes the canon and starts after ZX Advent events.

*SPOILERS FROM ZERO, AND ZX GAMES

After the falling of the Holy Trinity's genocidal governor, Albert, who did plan an enormous plot to conquer everything and rule with Iron Fist there was no more fighting between Humans, Reploids(1), Mavericks(2) ocurred, the Biometals(3) from the Legendary Warriors(4) were recovered by Aile, a girl who was chosen by ZX model with the support of Grey, a reploid kid chosen by A Model.

Back in Guardians(5) HQ, Aile did return from Ouroboros, Albert's main headquarters's that have been destroyed. She was transformed into ZX Model with a red armor resembling the Legendary Reploid Zero with a long flowing blonde mane and her beautiful blue sapphire eyes filled with determination as usual. In less than five years she had to fight over the death of her boss and mentor Giro, becoming stronger after winning impossible battles and overcoming any defeat. After raising an arm to deactivate the transformation status, a glint of light did shine leaving her true human appearance to be showed. Her hair was brown like shining copper, straight falling like a waterfall until the middle of her back. A short crop blue jacket and a black shirt combined with beige shorts would mark her strong yet precious femenine figure of a former kid who have grown into a fine and strong woman.

Aile leaves the Trans-server(6) wielding the rest of Biometals in a Box.

Aile: "I'm finally back! Heh, that kid got guts fighting that old man alone. Of course, without me fighting the other four he probably wouldn't had a chance. (7). Grey, I hope to meet you again sometime."

Said the Guardian with a faint grin on her face. She's sassy but not overconfident due to the multiple dangers she did face in the past. All the guardians came to receive her in a burst of joy.

Aile: "Give some thanks to that kid, will you? Where's Alouette?(8)"

Guardian:"Prairie is wainting for you at the Navigation Bridge, Aile."

(1): Robots who replicate humanity.

(2): Reploids who have gone against humans.

(3): Essence from legendary warriors. X, the blue Reploid. Zero, the red reploid (the 2 legendary Maverick Hunters from the past), Leviathan, the water and Ice Reploid, Fefnir, the Fire reploid, Harpuia, the Wind Reploid, and Phantom the Darkness Reploid. (4 was explained too) A model is based in Axl, a Reploid capable of copying skills.

(5): Guardians are the new Maverick Hunters who take care of peace and order

(6): Like a PC of that era, it allows to teleport between terminals.

(7): Megaman ZX Advent main character, Aile is the main one from ZX. The other three were Atlas, Aeolus and Thetis, chosen by Fefnir, Harpuia and Leviathan's biometals. Siarnaq by last, chosen by Phantom.

(8): Leader of the Guardians under the pseudonim of Prairie. She did met Zero when she was a child.

Aile: "Roger! Just wait, I'll hand the biometals to Dr. Fleuve and then we'll go on a big party for our victory. Honestly, I hope we can get a day at least."

The Guardian walks for the illuminated halls of the enormous pink ship that flies across the sky nonstop. Since it's a military ship, everything look greenish and diverse turrets are ready to fire lasers at any intruder. At the end of the corridor a low height old man was waiting. Somehow, Reploids can age like humans.

Dr. Fleuve: "Welcome back, Aile. I was worried when Ouroboros was falling down for a moment."

Aile: "What's the matter, doctor? Don't you always said that you believe in me? Hehehe."

Answers with a lively smile showing her pearl white teeth.

Dr Fleuve: "Yes, but the legendary Reploid Zero died in similar circumnstances, when he did sacrifice to stop Dr. Weil (1) and save the world before us. Prairie was terrified to think that another important person to her was going to die as well."

Aile: "... yeah, that story. If I have to die someday like Zero did, it would be cool to save everyone once more, just like he did."

Dr Fleuve: "At that time was Ciel and Zero. Ciel was Prairie's big sister and the one who did create the Biometals to give us a defense against any threat. Today is you and Prairie. Don't forget that if you cease to exist, your death will cause pain to us."

Aile: "Not this again... I promise, I won't be another Zero or another Giro, alright? Smile once, we have won. Get this Box, another delivery made by Giro Express! Hehehe."(2)

Shrugs with a carefree grin handing over the biometals.

Dr. Fleuve: "This incident must serve me as a lesson. Don't worry Aile! I'll work on a security system to prevent any unknown chosen to use the Legendary Warriors powers without our consent!"

Aile: "We trust you, doc. Not coming late to next meeting you understand? I'm going to get mad if you overwork yourself at your age.

She starts walking again taking an elevator to the main room.

Dr. Fleuve: "Indeed, Giro... you would be proud of your apprentice if you were here."

Once at the navigation bridge, a woman reploid with a white cat plushie was there in a pink commander coat with its respective hat. She was extremely cute, giving peaceful vibes with her beautiful blue eyes combined with the long straight golden hair. In any case, she was the Commander not just because of her beauty. But that side of her remains hidden. Prairie shows the smile of a lesser sister welcoming her big sibling back home. Runs to hug Aile, surrounding the heroine with her arms in a strong embrace.

(1): Dr Weil was a maniacal dictator who did put the world in danger centuries ago. Is the final boss in Mega Man Zero 4, the last game of the franchise. Zero sacrifies himself to bring him down in a last epic fight.

(2): Giro Express was the name of the mail company where Aile did work under Giro's protection and served as a cover for his Guardian status under a hostile society governed by Albert and his pawns with Mavericks everywhere.

Alouette: "Welcome home, Aile!"

She was containing her tears. In response the brown-haired woman caresses her head and looks directly to the opposite eyes. Giggles softly.

Aile: "Afraid of anything? I'm here to report the success of our assault into Ouroboros. Grey did make it alive too. O-Ouch!! It hurts, Alouette... wow, you... you are strong!"

Alouette: "I don't want to lose you too."

Aile: "You won't, please... you have become like a little sister to me! What kind of family would I be if I leave you alone? I can't fill Ciel, Zero or Giro's hole but... I'm here for anything you know! It's the falling down memory again... right?"

Prairie nods twice and then tries to assimilate her Commander role going back to her seat. However, she isn't able to contain the relief feeling.

Alouette: "Very well, you did fulfill your mission as usual, Aile. Your reward is already on your account. But before we get our rest... could you do a last thing for me?"

Aile: "Anything for you, ya'know. I can rest later, that fight against those brats did leave me with room for more showtime if it's needed. Did any remaining Maverick in Albert's side do anything stupid?"

Prairie shakes her head twice.

Alouette: "Is not the case, is more about... Prometheus and Pandora. Their readings have been recently detected in Albert's abandoned laboratory." (1)

Aile: "Those two siblings again? Why not. I have time for another "Game of Destiny"(2) with them. This time I'll make sure they don't have any other chance of meddling with us."

Answers cracking her knuckles, prepared to leave.

Alouette: "It's strange... because their readings were very weak. Like they are near from death or something like that. But it still related to Albert since that was his private hidden laboratory. Take care, just in case."

Aile: "I will, Zero and X are with me. You are with me, everyone is with me. I'll make it alive to dinner!"

Alouette: "Thank you, Aile."

Answers with a heartwarming smile, thanking her not for doing the job... but for promising that she would come back.

Alouette: "It's dusk, it's just a scouting errand to make sure that any remain of the opposite side is no able to start another incident."

(1): Prometheus and Pandora are two major bosses in both ZX games.

(2): Games of Destiny are fights to death between the Biometal possessors to determine who's worthy to succeed Albert.

Aile: "When the sun falls, I'll be back!"

Exclaims doing a thumbs up gesture before starting to run back to the Trans-server. Once there, the woman teleports to another terminal ubicated on an abanoned facility. The last rays of sun were tresspassing the broken windows giving the scenery a somehow sad atmosphere.

Aile: "This place is depressing, like those old technologic relics and broken machines were whispering something about better times.

HQ signal won't reach me in a so far away area."

From her belt, she gets the Z Saber, a sword of green light wielded by Zero centuries ago and starts advancing swiftly through the place without encountering opposition.

Aile: "Last time this was filled with Mavericks. Why would those two come to a devastated facility that has nothing left? I hope to be right in that last thing."

At the end of the corridors a great waterfall was before her in the background reflexing the orange sun.

Aile: "For some reason I feel nostalgic seeing this. But why? Nevermind, just focus on the mission!"

In the next building, there were two machines that were on instead of the rest. A pair of capsules, inside a Reploid could fit. To Aile's surprise, a reploid with green helmet in form of her hair was there, her stylized figure making a perfectly shaped female reploid was half-lying on the ground with her legs extended. Her white adjusted armor gave the impression of the Reploid being sculpted by an artist. A staff, her weapon made from a fragment of W-Model (1) was on the ground. Her beautiful ruby eyes had a somehow idle but at the same time depressed look.

Aile: "Pandora? What... where's your brother? Aren't you waiting to ambush me?"

The brown-haired guardian has a feeling of something being off the place, like if anything could be wrong.

Pandora: "This is it, Aile. The game is over for me, like it was for Prometheus."

For a moment a tear come from Pandora's right eye, even if she wasn't making an expression, the intense sadness could be noticed from her.

Aile: "Hey! Cut that out! This is not like you, explain everything to me! What's that of <The game is over for me?> Don't make foul strategies to have me worried, do you think I'm dumb or what? We are enemies, you won't fool me."

Pandora: "We have fought you fair and square, Aile. Same as with Grey. To discover the truth about us as that boy did, you should look to our capsules's monitors."

Says with a painful tone of voice, feeling weak. Aile was feeling panicked for what that truth could be.

Aile: "Let me see..."

(1): Biometal based on Dr.Weil, the main villain from Zero Saga. The opposition to the rest of Biometals.

The screen says "DAN-001, 0 SECONDS REMAINING." and the other one next to that "DAN-002, 259200 SECONDS REMAINING".

Aile: "What... wait... DAN-001 and 002..."

Pandora: "Prometheus is the number one, or was. I'm the number 2. I'm the next one. Albert did force us to cooperate and be transformed into battle reploids leaving behind our first body. That is limited countdown life system. If we did things for him, our life would be lenghted. Our plan was to... kill him."

Answers Pandora with a cold tone of voice. But even so, her soft voice felt somehow warm to ear.

Pandora: "There's no point on still fighting, when I have three days left. Don't you think. Soon, I'll be with Prometheus. After all... he's the only thing I had left. At least it was fun, right? The sunset is like a premonition for me. Grey carried out our last wish of revenge, so I'll keep torturing that monter in hell."

A bitter sensation runs through Aile's stomach.

Aile: "So... all the time, you... you were a victim, just a pawn! This... this is not fair! Why didn't you tell me before?!"

Pandora: "Are you going to have compassion with the enemy? You did say it. Now I'll make you a question. Why? Why are you willing to have pity about me now that you have won? You look annoyed and worried. I'm not anyone important to you, Aile. You can leave and let me die without regrets."

Answers closing her eyes. In response, Aile slaps her in the face making the reploid fall to the ground.

Aile: "Are you idiot? Do you really think that I'm like Albert? If you die, you won't be able to be free. That's what you did want... that's probably what Prometheus wanted for you. Are you even going to not try until the end?! Who's pathetic now of we two?! I'm going to search a way to save you with you or without you. We have a rematch yet to come, did you remember?!"

Pandora: "Everyone in the country is my enemy. They see me like a threat, you know what I did, Aile."

Aile: "That's true, that's why you have to stay alive. To pay your debts and keep going on. But you are wrong, I'm here and I'm not letting you flee that easily with a pitiful death. Albert won't win on my watch".

Pandora giggles painfully, her inner feelings seem to be flowing out in form of tears. Her face changes a bit.

Pandora: "The countdown is only stoppable... by Albert. There's a 0% of possibility to stop it now that he's dead."

Aile: "I've learned one thing about fighting you and your brother. 0% is just a number. So... get up or I'll slap you again until you come with me. You decide!"

Lends her hand to Pandora and the reploid accepts it, standing up.

Pandora: "A rematch... but, what's your plan?"

Aile: "We'll go to Guardian's base, Dr. Fleuve should be able to hack the terminal and well, piece of cake!"

Pandora: "Something says to me that is not going to be easy. Albert was a psycho capable of thinking that anyone could strike on her back anytime. He was obsessed with that, a reason about why it was impossible to us to act soon."

Aile: "Night is falling, Pandora. Let's leave this sad place before you get worse, this fear of death is what I did feel thousand of times during risky missions you know. You'll get used to it."

In reality, Aile was worried about Pandora, something impossible to imagine for her before. But situation has given a dramatic change. The Reploid was acting a bit different due to the impact of her brother dying and her being almost dead, more like a scared girl than an overconfident and powerful enemy. Looks at Aile with lamb eyes.

Pandora: "If you bring me to the Guardians Ship, they probably will attack me."

Aile: "Let me speak to them. First, let's go to a place with signal. For example that one with the waterfall. The sights sure are something."

Pandora: "Seems like I have no choice."

Aile got the W-Model scepter and mainaned it with her.

Aile: "You'll have to go unarmed. I'm here to defend you in any danger case."

Pandora: "At this point it doesn't matter to me."

Once outside, between the two main buildings, Aile calls HQ and explains the situation. Pandora was with her sight lost on the water and the sky.

Pandora: "The sky... looks like fire, and the stars are lurking, appearing little by little. Distant like those years..."

The green-haired reploid was remembering the days with Prometheus, locked on the facility without the possibility of going out, working as a slave for Albert. When the Guardian ended her talking to Prairie, Pandora broke her silence.

Pandora: "Aile... I have a question."

Aile: "Sure."

Answers, nodding.

Pandora: "My memories... what am I. If the time comes... nothing will be left, right?"

Aile: "... I don't know, Pandora. But at least Alouette is letting you enter in our base."

Pandora: "She has always been too good for her own sake, like you. So good that is even capable of such a foolish decission."

Replies with a faint grin on her lips. She was feeling grateful for the help.

Aile: "If saving a victim makes me a fool, so be it."

Pandora: "Your companion died because of us. Aren't you angry with me?"

Aile: "It was Albert's fault. You and Prometheus were puppets. That's what Giro would have said in my place. And that's the truth."

Pandora: "... Thank you. I won't flee away from my debts. In fact... I have a last will: if the time limit is to be reached, fight me a last time and finish me. To let you avenge your mentor."

Aile sighs and shakes her head.

Aile: "That's the only thing you knew in your life... that's why you are offering it to me. Let's go, Pandora. We'll talk about it if I fail you. Now, to the trans-server."

Pandora nods and walks with Aile leaving that sad environment fall alone into night.
