Rocket Grunt

Two nations, one continent. The land of Indigo was separated into two different nations, Kanto and Johto. Despite being right next to each other, the cultures could not have been the same. Kanto seeked industrialization, the advancement of science and society. To advance beyond their generation into a new era. Johto was the opposite of Kanto, seeking to fall back into their ways and culture, to be in tune with nature and the surrounding history of the land. The two nations, despite being complete opposites with one another, got along well. That was until Johto proceeded to commit multiple skirmishes on multiple cities in Kanto, the unexpected attack killing thousands and causing devestation. This was the start between the Kanto and Johto war. Or at least, that's what the books say. Honestly, it sounds like a bunch of propaganda, but I can't do anything about it. The games never got into any details of the war, and this single book had me learn more of this world than I ever had back on Earth. And there were thousands of these books everywhere! Normally, the notion of exploring the truths of this world and its history would excite me. But now? Now I'm the lowest of lows; a Rocket Grunt.
