7 The Prodigy vs Little Old Me

(General P.O.V)

Facing the civilian girl named Ame, TenTen let out a sigh before making a hand seal. The civilian girl seeing this casually returned it before they both got combat ready.

"Good." The teacher nodded before grabbing a seat from literally no where and proceeded to sit. "You can begin now."

Launching into a sprint, both students closed on each other before Ame went for a swing. TenTen quickly reacted by moving her head by a tiny bit causing the strike to miss.

TenTen then took advantage of her evasion and went for a punch towards Ame's gut. The civilian girl seeing this went to grab TenTens arm and managed to stop it.

In response to this, TenTen pressed her body forward and pushed both herself and Ame onto the ground. She proceeded to mount the girl before repeatedly slamming punches into her stomach.

Ame tried to endure the punches through holding her breath and tightening her core but couldn't hold on under TenTens fists. Soon she had to go for air which caused her to relax her muscles for a half second which TenTen successfully took advantage of.

"TenTen wins." The teacher said in the same tired tone as usual which caused TenTen to stop punching. "Both of you should use the unison seal now. It's our villages sparing tradition after all."

Helping her opponent up to her feet. TenTen quietly made the required hand seal and waited for Ame to complete it. Ame looked at TenTen for a few seconds before sighing.

"Thank you for not ruining my face TenTen." She said before making the unison seal and earning a chuckle from TenTen.

"Nah, I just didn't want to ruin your chances." TenTen said as she looked at a certain boy. She then left towards the group with Ame and whispered. "But you'll have to return the favor by confessing to him later."

Looking at TenTen with a shy smile, she looked over towards her crush and imagined confessing to him. The mere thought of it made her blush and respond in a meek and quiet tone. "Can I do... that... when I'm ready? It's a bit.... embarrassing...."

"Nah, nah, you'll be fine trust me." TenTen said lightly patting her on the back to reassure her. She proceeded to put a hand over her mouth to hide her words from anyone capable of reading lips. "I've heard he likes you back."

(Rock Lee)

Looking at all of the fights between TenTen and the other students. It was more or less a repeat of what had happened with TenTen's match. Not much technique; but more or less pure strength.

There was even a couple girls that had to go against a boy due to us having less men in the class. But as girls grow a bit quicker as compared to boys, some of them managed to defeat their opponent.

But one thing bothered me as I watched the final spar before mine end. Neji had not been called to fight with any of the students yet. And with the smirk Teacher gave me a few seconds ago, I can assume it's going to be me and him.

"Neji Hyuga and Rock Lee, would you please both go towards the circle?" Teacher said before leaning forward to watch our match more closely. "Remember our tradition."

I noticed that whispers had began to appear as I walked towards my chosen side. TenTen and Ame however where in their own little conversation.

"Isn't this a bit harsh?" One of the nicer ones in class asked his friend. "Making the new kid fight Neji of all people? We can't even last a few seconds with him."

"Beat him bloody Neji!" A fan girl yelled out beside him causing the concerned guy to flinch. Behind the fan girl appeared a couple more of her kind. "Show us how cool you are!"

"Kya! Go Neji Go!"

Looking at Neji, I let out a sigh of pity. 'You can't even marry outside of your clan. How pitiful is it that they are just wasting their time?'

"You might as well give up." He said as we both made a unison seal. He then proceeded into a stance that I was familiar with from the show. 'And he knows gentle fist..... that's fun.'

"Begin."

Immediately on the offensive, Neji dashed towards me to end it fast. In response, I waited for him to get close so I could counter anything he throws at me.

'He should not have the Byakugan so his Gentle Fist won't be as effective. Just deflect and attack, maybe even grapple if I get the chance.'

The veins around his eyes appeared through his skin causing me to immediately change my thought process. 'Well there goes my advantage, and here comes his first few strikes too!'

Putting his index fingers forward, Neji immediately began to attempt to seal my Tenketsu points. In response, I deflected his attacks by attacking him at the wrist. This made it to where he couldn't seal the tenketsu in my arms when blocking normally.

Not yet being used to hand to hand combat, he had managed to get a few quick jabs through me. But I was lucky enough to move his hits away from my Tenketsu. But I was slowly accumulating damage and he was still coming towards me.

"Just give up and accept it! You'll never bea-"

*Pow*

Deciding it was time to pick up the tempo. I jumped forward as soon as he spoke and managed to drill a punch into his abdomen.

*swoosh*

'Ah nice trade off Neji.' I thought as my fingers went numb and my right fist became limp. 'And that's my hand gone. But I have my wrist so I can work with this.'

Looking up at Neji, I began to smile as he was silent. 'Oh? Did I manage to knock the air out of you? Might as well try this out.'

Dashing forward, I did a leg sweep causing him to jump into the air. Using my sweep, I spun around and used the force to jump into the air and threw a kick into his face.

*swoosh*

'So you got my calf this time.' I frowned in dissatisfaction as I watched him get up and wiped some blood from his lip. 'He's managed to catch his breathe, I'm pretty much on one leg, but at least he's angry.'

Picking up my leg, I kept my eyes on him as I tested if I had the ability to walk. I could still lift my leg and bend it, but moving my foot around was impossible. 'I'll have to be careful with any steps I take now. If I get on the side of my foot, my ankle will roll and I'll fall.'

Neji leaped towards me and we began to continue with my constant deflecting and his constant attacking. He threw a couple kicks at my bad leg, but I blocked it with my shin and my sandals weight helped keep my foot straight when returning to the ground. But as time went on, the feeling in my hand was slowly returning and Neji was getting more impatient.

But I could tell he was improving. His strikes where getting faster and more precise. His foot work managed to keep me constantly under pressure on me from all sides. And more blows had began to slip past my defenses every now and then to hit my body.

Time felt as if it was in slow motion for me. I had completely zoned out on anything happening outside of us and was purely enjoying the sensation of this fight. Neji had stopped speaking a long time ago and was also completely focused on getting past my defense.

'Now should be a good time.'

Stepping forward, I grasped both of his wrists and raised my head back. Neji with his byakugan could see anything within a 360 radius, so getting another lucky shot on him wasn't going to happen again. So that's why.....

I'll just go forward!

*bam*

Bringing my head forward, I slammed my forehead into Neji's nose and felt the bone inside crack. I then took advantage of his pain by stepping on his foot as he tried to retreat.

This made him lose balance and fall backwards. Instinctively, his hands went towards the ground to catch himself which I took advantage of. I used my newly recovered leg to kick him directly in the temple.

And as his head flew, I quickly stomped down my leg before using my opposite leg to drive his head the other way.

Or that was what was supposed to happen.....

*fwoosh*

"The match is over, Lee is the winner."

Teacher had used body-flicker to end it. Neji was already knocked out.

Looking down at me, he let go of my leg before walking off towards the school building with a chuckle. On his shoulder was a knocked out Neji. "Just wait until I tell my Hyuga friends about this. Also the days done, you can all go home now."

Looking towards the rest of the class, I smirked before walking away. All of them had gone silent with shock and I was completely satisfied.

'But could I beat an fully grown Neji?'

"Yeah no."

....

Sitting underneath the shade of a tree, I let my body rest as everyone went home. Beside me was a familiar blonde haired brat. However, his faced was pretty bruised up

"So who's the one who beat you up Naruto?"

"Tsk, nobody can beat me. Only that.... that... Ugh! Why does Sakura even like him!"

Swinging back and forth on his swing. He went on and on about how annoying Sasuke was to him. Sakura had even popped up in our conversation also.

"Oh yeah!" Naruto suddenly stopped swinging and squinted his eyes. And with a mischievous smile, he started to tell me something he had overheard from his classmates. "So apparently someone beat up this guy named Negi... Ne-..." Scratching his head, he just shrugged his shoulders before continuing. "So he beat up this Hyuga. And it was in Hand-To-Hand too! A Hyuga got beat in a taijustu match!"

"But I'm really thinking the guys ugly." He said causing me to cringe. "Actually probably lonely too now that I think about it."

'Ouch.'

"You reckon he's all muscle and no brain? He might even be fat and giant! Probably sat on the poor Hyuga and let him suffocate...."

"...."

"Wait,why are you staring at me like that?"

"Well it's simple." I calmly replied as I got near him. And as he looked at me with confusion, I began to clinch my fist.

"Because the one you're talking about is....." I began to slowly raise my hand above his head.

*BAM*

"Is me!"
