11 Chapter 011 Team Doma

-Konoha-

The senior teacher told the students, "You all have to wait for your Jonin teacher to pick you up."

The teacher left the room, and then a few Jonin came in and called out the team number. Menma is not joining a newly formed squad; he is joining an existing one. He is replacing an older member who left the squad to join the police force.

Guess what? The old member was a Uchiha and left the group to join his clan's police force. The squad doesn't have a good relationship due to the disputes between two members - the Uchiha and another civilian genin.

The Uchiha teenager was then promoted to Chunin in the last Chunin Exam, and then he left to join the police force. This is the first choice for most Uchihas; not everyone is like Shisui or Itachi. Some are too proud of their lineage but lack any actual strength.

A jonin entered at that time. He looked at Menma and said, "Hello, you must be Menma. From today onwards, I will be your team commander. My name is Kaite Doma. You are now part of Team Doma."

Menma said to Jonin, "Okay, I am Menma Satoshi."

Then Menma followed him to the private training grounds which were assigned to teams. There he saw two people, one who looked like a civilian ninja family and another who was from a small clan like Menma.

Kaite looked at the other two genin and said, "This is your new team member, Menma Satoshi. Introduce yourself."

The civilian member said, "I am Shura Yanma. You look very young."

Another member says, "I am Dan Shirunai."

Menma nodded his head and said, "It's good to meet you."

Menma looked at Jonin Kaite and asked, "So there is no teamwork test or something like that before joining the team?"

Jonin Kaite looked at him with surprise, "Usually we do things like that, but this is wartime. Your track record in the Academy is very good. I was going to skip it anyway, as I have seen his report from the special classes. But you already guessed the test objective beforehand."

Kaite didn't tell him that he planned to take the test with others. But then Menma's poisonous mouth vomited the secret of teamwork directly. So Kaite directly eliminated the choice of taking the teamwork exam for Menma. How will he take the test when the guy already knows about the exam and the answers?

Menma said at that time, "I learned those two from my late grandmother about one and a half years ago."

Kaite felt sad inside. He thought, "This guy already knows about those two techniques. For god's sake, I am his jonin instructor. I have to teach him something. Otherwise, my reputation as a teacher will be ruined."

Kaite is worried about how to teach Menma. He already knows what he learned at the Academy. He knows that this guy is more talented than most others. And Menma doesn't have an ego problem like the last Uchiha kid he had.

Kaite took out an old scroll he once used to learn a simple genjutsu. He gave it to Menma.

Kaite said, "Here you can have this. It's my old scroll. I used it to learn the technique for simple genjutsu. The hell viewing technique is great if used correctly. I originally wanted to give it to another student who decided to quit the team recently. He already knew the technique by then."

Menma replied, "Thank you, teacher. I also wanted to ask you where can I find chakra paper. I also want to test my chakra affinity. If I knew it in advance, it would be helpful when going into battle."

Menma thought, "Yashira uchiha, isn't he one of the guys beaten by Itachi when they went to ask about Shisui's death from him? Many Uchiha's don't mingle nicely with the village and they try to coup in the future. Then if we add Danzo to the mix. It creates disaster. Shisui's death and his Uchiha clan's unwillingness to compromise in the situation made him lose hope. Then he chose to save his brother and kill the people who would only die during the coup. Menma checked his affinity with chakra paper. The half of the paper got cut and the other half became wet by his chakra.

Kaite looked at it and said, "You have wind and water chakra affinity. I know some water jutsus, but Wind is a rare affinity in Konoha. Very few people in Konoha have wind as a primary affinity. And you have two primary affinities; that's also rare. Don't be too proud of these things, Menma. And then you will be fine in the future." Kaite genuinely gave him the last piece of advice.

Menma looked at them and said, "My late grandmother once told me that one should never be too proud. Pride without any accomplishment is worthless. Pride is earned through sweating and bleeding every day."

His words touched the team. And Menma also found a genjutsu technique scroll earlier. He lied to them about his grandmother saying that part. He made up a lie to cheer them up a little. Well, it doesn't hurt anyone, so it is a white lie.
