59 Trouble’s coming Elizebeth edition (3)

The day of the debutante for the nobles that were ready to debut into the society was bright. Following tradition, the debutante ceremony proceeded according to a very solemn customary practice and its participants were strictly restricted in an enclosed area.

The ceremony started with the king's congratulation speech, then added by the blessing of the queen. When the speech ended, they proceeded with the social party that was to be held for three consecutive days, today included.

The morning ceremony wasn't important but a good number of people did come, out of excitement and to meet the king and the queen. The first day morning ceremony was a meet and greet for the noble to meet and greet the king and the queen directly. It was a chance to attract the attention of the rulers and also a chance to have a personal connection with other aristocrats.

Though Princess Elizebeth Diana Byron a.k.a The Lord Elizebeth Diana Chandler seemed not to care about the importance of the ceremony. She woke up late and only got ready to go at noon. Only made her appearance in the late evening. The social party took place at the palace from noon till dusk, then from dusk till dawn, the excitement-filled ball would be held on the first night only.

The yearly debutante was held largely this year due to the princess's presence. It was the first party to be held to introduce Elizebeth properly to the kingdom where people could observe Elizebeth closely. The scale was enormous and the number of participants was also massive. The arrival of delegations and aristocrats that came from other countries was nothing to sneeze at.

When compared to the years before of debutante, the scale was nothing similar and the attendant nobles this year were qualitatively superior.

It's all to take a gander at the rumored beloved princess of the kingdom; the adoptive daughter of the royal family and a legit daughter from the Chandler house. The house has a long history that is independent and also produced a significant number of war heroes from generation to generation.

The merging of the royal family and the ducal family was a smart move made by the king to solidify his status as the king.

For today's event, the maids chose a brand new dress with their heart and soul. The image the maids were going for today was elegance and sensuality.

"Perfection. I'm chasing perfection." The makeup department maids gossiping so closely in front of her eyes while applying her makeup.

"The body, the hair, and the skin are perfections itself." The maid in-charge of her hair chirping like a bird above her head.

"Are you done?" The maids that put her blue dreamy sparkling luxury shoes asked from below.

"Yes." Both answered in unison and stepped aside.

"My Lord kindly stood in front of the mirror." The shoe department maid that was once below her stepped aside to give her space to move.

She followed the instructions precisely, but instead, she came to the mirror, mirror was coming to her and one of the reasons she became quite lazy was because the maids were ready to jump in to pamper her. She stood at her place waiting for the mirror before the breathtaking view greeted her eyes. The jaw almost dropped, thankfully she managed to lock it tight to conceal her real reaction.

The dress was midnight dreamy blue, sparkling with embroidery like constellation stars at midnight. The color faded with ashy blue color slowly until at the end of the dress. The neck was covered with a darker shade. The dress was fitting her upper body until mid-waist and unfurled down below like a princess typical dress. The sleeve was narrow so it clung to the arm as went down the sleeve, it had folds that gave it a flair.

The base of the dress was double layered with lace but about one thief of the upper arm was made up only of lace so the skin beneath the lace could be seen. It was a modest style with an extravagant setting. One of a kind type.

"Holy…" Elizebeth mumbled. It was indeed beautiful and lifted her powerful aura. The dress added to her charm.

The maid looked with satisfaction at the result she had made with her hands. It was her idea to redesign the plain blue and add to her own imagination once she saw the shoes that they stole from someone. The details of every aspect of the dress were marvelous.

"I'm coming from the tailor background. I learned tailoring from my grandmother and mother." The bright maid told her rather giggling.

"You have talent." Praised her while twirling around in front of the mirror.

"Than- thank you, My Lord." The maid blushed.

Elizebeth showed off the dress to other maids as well. Surprisingly, her closest maid named Miley had latent talent in tailoring. This would benefit her, after all, she would bring Miley together with her for her adventure.

The timid Miley was gone completely. After she transferred directly under her, her confidence slowly resurfaced and now flourished majestically.

"It's time to go, My Lord." Called Emily from the door before she exclaimed loudly. "Oh my. You look wonderful." She covered her mouth in shock.

"Thank you." She beamed.

"Enjoy yourself, My Lord." The rest of the maids bowed to her as she passed by them in confident shoe's heel-clicking.

"I will. Thank you for your hard work." She waved to them without looking back right before she went in between the door.

"My Lord." Derrick couldn't take off his eyes from Elizebeth right outside her door bedroom. "You are so breathtaking. My lord is so beautiful." He fixed his eyes on her. Very slowly, his eyes swept over her, from top to bottom, unhurriedly examining her.

Elizebeth's flustered with his words. Her loose braid hair around her right shoulder was glittering with the sparkling fake small flowers, made it look like a fairy or nymph or whatever they intended to show.

"May I have the honor to walk My Lord to the carriage?" Derrick bowed to him while stretching his right hand.

Elizebeth opened her paper fans and the identical design as her dress stole the show. She covered half of her face but connected the hand. "Sure."

"Thank you so much." He brought her backhand to his lips and gently touched it. "May My Lord has fun at the party," he gave the blessing out of nowhere.

"I hope so." She chuckled.

They walked silently with her pace, Derrick stole a few glances before he huffed proudly. His Lord was so beautiful. No. It couldn't be expressed with a single word. The maid didn't have to do their best to this extent. This kind of beauty should be illegal. Her beauty might overshadow others.

"Eliz!" Indulf gasped.

"Lize, you are pretty." Kyle put his hands on his waist. A proud smile colored his face.

"Indeed." Demien agreed, warmly examining his sister. He took his sister from Derrick before the knight bowed to them and retreated to the mansion.

"Charming," Duke opened the door carriage door without wasting his time as he welcomed his daughter warmly with his gaze.

"Thank you." Elizebeth closed the paper fans and walked gracefully to the door with the help of Demien.

The duke and the brothers were dressed in a black tuxedo and looked absolutely stunning. Compared to women who wore colorful dresses like a rainbow, men usually wore a similar black tuxedo. The type of body the one brought alive their appearance into the next level. All his brothers and father had similar statues and several charms, especially their handsome faces. They most probably were the target of the hungry ladies.

"Mother!" She sat next to her mother. "You are so pretty." She exclaimed loudly. Gave the space to her father to sit beside her.

Her mother wore a breathtaking dress herself. Dark pink, pearly-gray dress with exquisitely sewn vibrant pearly pink beads. The neckline was wide, revealing the shoulder slightly and the collarbone was conspicuous. It was a sleeveless dress so the arms were exposed but she covered it with a light glittering shawl wrapping around her arms.

"Are we ready?" Indulf that sat opposite the duchess sat before he knocked at the coach.

The carriage was massive enough for six of them. The duke family loved to go to the invited party together with one carriage. Created the bonding among them.

"Will brother find the suiter?" She asked jokingly at Demien.

Demien extended his arms and stopped at her forehead. He flicked the forehead in satisfaction when Elizebeth squealed.

"Father!" She hid her forehead into her father's arm.

"Demien…" The Duchess burst a laugh.

Kyle and Indulf cracked their lips too. Silently laugh at her misfortune. Who didn't know the marriage talk was so sensitive to Demien? She had it coming.

"Stop bullying your sister," Duke said though his voice wasn't sincere at all.

"I hate you," she pouted.

"Well deserved." He wiggled his eyebrow playfully.

She exhaled loudly. Protested without a word and hid her face again into the duke's arm.
