18 Ch 15: Traps & cheats

Finally entering the Diverse city, a city where every species can live, the only completely autonomous place in No King's Land, it appeared thanks to efforts of the exiled from the reptilian and beast towns, whereas the towns depend on the king from their original country everything is produced here, meat, bread, drinks, and clothes.

´´This place is huge´´ said Khaski amazed by the city being a bit more advanced than the towns we came from ´´Look there's a guy who bets he can win against anyone in that card game, Lyubo can you give me some money to play, I swear I'll win´´

´´No, why would I give you money? Use yours´´ I said searching for a place to rest ´´She already took half of your money´´ said my brother ´´Wha-Why didn't you stop her?´´ the only answer I got was a ´´She was too fast´´ and Leo's laugh.

´´Alright chief we're leaving hope to see yall later´´ Leo said getting off of the cart ´´See you later guys´´ said Mara giggling ´´Goodbye boys´´ this time Pio talked ending with a ´´he´´

´´Wait, pay me I'm not a free... aaand they don't hear me from here´´ with a defeated sigh I just thought of asking someone until I heard my brother laughing ´´Why are you laughing? You still need to pay me the travel you know´´

´´Hey you're stressed, you don't sleep too well, so why don't you just let me search for a place and you go have some fun, here a third of your money, I'll use what's left to pay for the place´´ he told me and simply threw me to the streets and went to find a place ´´But it's my money, why do I get a less than Khaski? And how am I going to know where the place is?´´ I said defeated, in the street, almost no money on me, and lost.

This sucks, I bought a bottle of orange juice and that basically left me with no money, why is everything so expensive here? and it's almost time for the sunset, I did NOT have fun, I'm lost, hungry and don't know where to go, this city is way too big and there's a lot of places for adventurers to rest.

´´AAAH Let me go!!´´ I heard a feminine voice on my left, I saw the alleyway and there was a girl surrounded by three reptilian guys and a human girl, I should go, maybe she can let me rest at her place and help me find Gen, the worst-case scenario, I get beaten up she takes me to a hospital and helps me, yea why not, but I'm tired should I really do it, maybe I could just take her and run away.

I used my best option and charged in with the aura of a rhino's head, not hitting anyone but I managed to grab the victim and carried her on my shoulder to a safe place, inside someone else's house to hide, after exiting the house we started talking

´´Thanks dude but I could've taken them on my own´´ said the stranger ´´yea with that dress obviously, and you looked like you had everything solved´´ I sarcastically said just being met with a knife being pointed at my throat ´´Wh-where did that knife come up?´´ I nervously asked ´´My magic is weapon creation so those guys were no problem from me´´ said with a less feminine voice and more threatening tone ´´I'm sorry´´ I said just to get myself out of this situation ´´I apologize for sticking my nose in this whole problem but why were they doing that? Was it because your cuter than that other girl?´´ after I asked the was only a playful smile on that pretty face ´´ You know I'm actually...´´ ´´A boy, yea, I know´´ ´´Ho-ho-how did you know that? Are you perhaps a stalker?´´ ´´No, when I was carrying you on my shoulder I felt it´´ I said pointing down ´´Haha, still you are very cute, but why do you dress up like that? Not being mean but why? genuinely curious ´´ I told him and he had a blush but only when I called him cute ´´I-I only do this because I look pretty, yo-you even said I was cute and ...´´ ´´What?´´ I asked since he said it almost murmuring ´´I like...´´ ´´Wha´´ ´´I like being called pretty!!´´ he ended up shouting and blushing so hard I just looked to the side and apologized for making him say that ´´So... why were they *cough* doing that?´´ ´´I turned down one of their friends so they wanted to take revenge I suppose´´ he told me so I just said sorry and asked if I could stay in his house since I still don't know where Gen or Khaski are. He told me his parents own an inn so I followed him
