29 Partnership

Stepping through the portal I was welcomed with nothing but a pure white room. Looking at the figure in front of me made my eyes widen a bit.

"You're the goddess that sent me here." I said in slight disbelief. I looked over her as she held a slight smirk on her face. She sat down in a throne with her right leg crossed over the other and her arms on her arm rest.

At first, I was about to just sit on the ground. Then I remembered, I hold myself as a damn god and as a god I need to show some type of dominance or at least some self respect.

So I leaned back like I was about to fall and behind me, a throne with red cushions and black structures outlined it. At the top there were these black structures that looked like skeletons and when I was seated, I sort of relaxed in the throne.

It felt like my body was just constantly being rejuvenated while I was in the throne.

"That's quite the nice arc you've made in my domain." She said looking at my throne. Although I didn't understand why she called it an arc, I'll just figure it out later.

"It seems it didn't take you as long as I thought to get here, Akihito. Although I expected this, slightly." She said.

"It sounds like you were planning on this to happen." I said skeptically. I kept my senses sharp the whole time I was in here. All around me was this energy and I had access to it, but when she said it was her domain she would notice me trying to take it.

"I was hoping to meet again, that's all."

"Do you hope to meet all of your reincarnations?" I asked with raised eyebrows. The smirk on her face flinched and I could feel that she was slightly disgusting just from her energy.

Although it was new energy usually gives off your intent of how you feel so I let it slide.

"No, I was hoping to see you specifically to come into some type of contract." She them had a more professional smile on her face.

'I guess she was planning on tricking me into whatever the contract was, hoping to make me slip up by seducing me. After realizing that didn't work she got professional. Well it's only speculation though.' I thought eyeing her.

"What type of contract would you want with someone that's not even a god?" I asked. I'm a god to myself, but I'm unknown, probably zero gods no me, and I only consider myself a god in the logical why, I can't take souls or shit yet.

I can fuck with realities and existence only on a scientific level, I'm not a god completely.

"This contract is to get you implemented into godhood. While I don't know the full scale of your power, as of right now you're in my domain. The fact you can make that arc and that you're not dead proves you are qualified." She said.

"But what does this contract do for me?" I asked. If I needed anything I can do it on my own.

"I haven't introduced myself yet have I? My name true name is Lustita; goddess of judgment and morals." She said with a soft voice.

"Weren't you just trying to seduce me?" I asked immediately.

"Yes." She said bluntly.

"Is that not morally wrong to you?"

"When men are exposed to beauty they usually show just how morally wrong they are. You wouldn't believe how many reincarnators have been swayed by beauty and tricked." She said with a sigh.

"Nope I'll 100% percent believe you. Most are just dumb horny neets. I wouldn't be surprised if they fucked anything that looked remotely good." I said with a little nod.

"I see. Back to the topic, I am the goddess of judgment and moral. I didn't give myself that name it was etched into my "soul" when I was like you. Now I'm what you see here." She said.

"Before you can become a fully fledged god, you need a domain."

"I already have one." I said. I then raised my hand and around it a warp was opened up. She looked at me then the doorway before I got up and walked through.

Stepping into the warp I exited on the other side along with Lustita. In my "domain" it was unfinished. I had filled it with my power and energy making it seem like an extremely chaotic storm.

While there was the incredibly chaotic energy storm in my domain, it was pitch black other than that storm. I continued filling it with my energy, but nothing happened. I don't know what I was expecting, but this ain't it.

"I thought you meant a complete domain." She breathed out relived.

"What should a domain look like? I tried everything at this point." I asked. As I made another warp back to her domain. She didn't seem surprised by this at all.

"You're not surprised that I can just walk into your domain?" I asked.

"I'm the one that reincarnated you, so as long as you're strong enough and I have a soul fragment from you then you can come in and out as you please of course I can destroy out connection as well." She said.

"Anyways, your domain although it's full of extremely good energy, it's the fact that you don't have a specific goal in mind. You need a specific goal to make your domain perfect." She added.

"A goal, what does a domain have to do with godhood?" I asked.

"Domains represent how strong a god is it what they want to accomplish. Like me. While I said this is my domain this is just my resting domain. A place were I can do what I have to while relaxing. We gods and goddesses only use our real domains to exert dominance or to show our strength."

"Okay, but tell me why I need one."

"You'll need it, because when gods take a step into godhood, they have a specific place they can rule over. It's like a check mate in any game." She explained.

She seemed to be genuine happy with answered my questions almost like a devoted secretary. I nodded and she continued.

"Now, once you have a completed domains, you can officially be a god. You can go untitled or not depending on what feet's you bring to THE God." She said.

"So why partner up with me or whatever?" I asked.

"One, because partnering up with a god would impose both of them. Second, when two gods are aligned in this way they have a more spiritual connection. Lastly, your godly ranking go up." She said.

So basically, we get stronger, we have a sort of soul connection and lastly rankings as a god would increase.

"That sounds good and all, but like I said before there are maybe countless gods out there to partner up with, why not get one of them. Plus the idea of being a god, but being in a hierarchy don't really sit well with me." I said.

She sighed.

"Gods can only partner up with someone they have a soul fragment of and unfortunately you can only get soul fragments from the soul itself. Gods have souls, but we have to be under a mutual contract to make the connection."

"Why didn't you make the connection?" I asked

"Most gods are no different from human men. They want women and power and others are to wimpy for my liking. When I pose a contract they always want my body in return." She said with a look of disgust on her face.

"Why not partner with some goddesses then?"

"I've tried that as well, but some of them are to selfish and want to have a contract were they have the most benefits or when there is a good contract the personality of the contractor is weird. Honestly gods are more like humans than they realize." She said with a tired sigh.

"How often does contract between gods happen?"

"Not to often, out of arrogance. They get the title of god and believe they can do everything."

"Why do you want to have this contract anyway?"

"To change things around here and to get to the top. With me and you working together we can get our goals accomplished easily." She said smugly.

My eyes started glowing a bright purple and my body was shrouded by a purple aura.

"You're not trying to use me are you?" I asked. My voice seemed to boom around her domain like an echo. She seemed visibly shaken by this and I could see some of her muscles twitching, so I stopped.

"…" she was speechless.

"Listen, while this does sound good and all, I don't know what I want to do myself and honestly I'm just going around to get stronger." I said.

'But, it does sound like I'll benefit something from this and honestly these gods are pitiful.' I thought.

"So there is no reason that you're getting stronger?" She asked, looking at me with slightly saddened eyes.

"Not that I'm aware off." I said shaking my head.

"So it's not the fact that you want to be at the top yourself?" She asked. I raised my eyebrows. I had never heard such accusations in my life.

"The fact that when you came here you wanted to show dominance or the fact that you don't like being in a hierarchy because someone else at the top set it up. Even in your past life weren't you the type of person that didn't give a shit about someone's feeling, so you said what you thought and felt because you could and it made you feel stronger." She said.

"In fact, the reason you are how you are is because, when you're a person with your type of personality you're at the top. You just don't care because what you say is the truth and nobody could refute it, so you felt high and your life got boring."

She had a point. Although I didn't notice that about myself I acted how I acted because I was always at the top even without people saying it. My life was filled with so much of people not being able to go again what I said, to the point it was boring.

Having the power to sway people with words, shut down arguments, have a clear mindset, not care about personal feelings, and just shut people up to the point it got boring.

I had power through speech and that took basic joy from my normal life, but that was the point. I was being myself and speaking my thought. If having that type of power just with words made my life boring, this type of power accelerated that boredom.

"You're starting to understand now." She said with some hope in her voice although it was almost unnoticed.

I liked being at the top, because it was my way of justifying that I can't be controlled or contained. I said what I said because I could and I had the freedom to.

People listened because I was right and speaking the truth gave me power. Now I don't like hierarchy because I could be under someone and might be controlled. I didn't like that idea and that's why I'm running around trying to get as strong as I can.

I just didn't know, because I never really thought about it.

I do have a goal.

I want to be at the top as well.

I want to be uncontrollable.

I want to be something free from any type of restraints.

"But wait, can't I just not be a part of the hierarchy and be some type of rouge god? All I have to do is not make a personal domain and not get involved with you guys right?" I asked.

"!!!" She had her mouth opened and her eyes seemed like she froze in space. Then with a deep breath she calmed down.

"I see. In that case you could continue your journey." Then ripples appeared inside her domain.

"There is the gate-" I cut her off.

"I didn't say I wouldn't I was just curious. As you know I do want to be the strongest, but doing it my way would be boring. I'll help you." I said plainly.

"You literally have no reason to help me at all, why would you help now!?" She asked me shocked.

"Well, I had a thought that beating official gods would be fun while we get to the top. It would also relieve me of my constant boredom. But be warned, I have random fits of bloodlust, so if I destroy random worlds don't judge me as evil." I joked.

"…" She was speechless again. I guess the idea of wanting to beat every god to relieve boredom was strange.

"Ahem..when we make a contract I won't have control of your soul. A piece of both our souls will be taken and combined. Then our energy would combine and make a sort of convent to protect it." She said.

"So how do we do this?" I asked. She took another breath and her eyes glowed a white color.

"You need to put a huge amount of your energy into your hand and put it in me."

Huh?

"I beg yah pardon." I said.

"Put your hand in my chest and take a piece of my soul. I should also note that this will hurt a lot." She said. I looked at my hand and focused energy into it.

My arm started glowing with my purple energy till it looked like my arm was energy itself. Lustita had a arm made of pure white energy. Honestly the energy coming off of it was spectacular.

She was holding back a lot too. Almost like she wasn't trying to destroy her domain.

"Ok, I'm going to stick it in now." She said.

"Please don't say that me." I spoke normally. She then reached into my chest and I wanted to kill myself.

My entire being felt like it was being cut with safety scissors. It was slow and I had to clench my teeth, ball up my fist and I reached into a portal I made and grabbed some random planets crushing them.

It felt like getting your skin cut open with a dull knife, while being awake. Then the pain was gone. It felt like I was incomplete and I didn't fully understand the feeling at the time.

I saw the light in her arm and eyes go out and she held a small, blue, foggy speck. That was the cause of all my pain. That was the reason it felt like I was getting ripped apart piece by piece.

I saw her take it and combine it with something that looked like shining blue glass and it didn't change much. She looked at me with a worried expression seeing me sweating and I think I couched up some blood.

I looked up at her with glowing eyes and she seemed worried.

"Nope. You already got some of my soul." I said.

"I know, but let me hype myself up first." She said. She closed her eyes and I just stuck my arm in her chest. Her eyes shot open and she dropped to her knees.

I had to kneel down and hold her by her back while I grasped onto this thing that kept trying to run. Eventually I grabbed it and slowly took it out. She kept squeezing on my coat and had clinched teeth with her eyes shut tight.

I got it out and then it floated over to my soul fragment and combined.

{Do both parties accept this bond?}

A voice boomed in her domain.

"Yes"

"…yes"

We answered although she answered a bit weakly. She should have felt better by now. I stood her up and carried her back to her throne. If this place was like a resting place she should get better by sitting in this arc.

"..thank you." She said with a deep breath. I nodded and sat back down.

It took a while, but something happened to our souls. The fragments started merging and my energy was being forcibly pulled from my body along with hers.

The energy's seem to circle around the souls and compress them and in a blinding light that actually made Lustita block her eyes and me go blind an artifact was made.

My vision had already healed, and floated in front of us was an artifact like the eye of agamotto. The only difference is that in the middle was a bright foggy light. Then it closed and looked like a gold almond.

It floated over to me and I took it from the air.

"Now wha-" suddenly my body was flooded with an influx of power that made my own power flare out of control for a second before I controlled it.

The artifact then flew from my hand and into Lustita's. Her body was shot with a massive wave of energy that shook her "domain". My eyes widened at that and then it stopped and fell to the "floor".

"Wow." She said.

"That was…nice. So what now?" I asked.

"We're…partners now." She said.

This feeling was definitely new. It was like I was myself, but had another me that was right in front of me. Plus I feel like I can do things I couldn't at first.

"Umm, it was a pleasure doing business, but I have to go finish my domain. I guess." I said as I stood up and made a portal.

She hummed with a nod like she was still in thought.

"Actually wait!!" She said quickly.

I looked at her before stepping into the portal and she spoke.

"While my name is Lustita, I would rather be called Mia. It was my name when I was human." She said. I looked at her for a moment and nodded before walking through the portal.

I'll go more in depth about this stuff later and this will still not have a LI unless I change my mind😈. But it wouldn't be a harem or more than one girl and no useless drama.

Also he is now an official god, but still rough if you understand that. This is 3k+ words so hope you enjoy. He got stronger and will ha e fun along with some challenges now. Also there will be a really gory fight scene I'm writing.

Might be out tonight or Tom morning. I'm finna move and shit, but imma still be writing. Also I didn't write for like two days because I lost my phone.
