13 Bed

-Mirage Feast Inn-

After about an incense worth of time had passed since Penta delivered the boar. An aroma of that could only be described as amazing started wafting through the inn.

Penta who was practically dozing off at his table while still firmly holding on to his utensils was immediately shaken awake by the smell.

His stomach as though it had been triggered roared again as the pleasant smell started getting not just him but every customer's palate drooling. The smell was that good.

Celia who was busy behind the counter couldn't help but smile seeing the reaction from the people especially the one unique roar she heard from the new guy Penta. She was very curious about the guy considering he didn't seem to belong but more so especially because she got the feeling that he was the same as her.

An elementary shaman apprentice. This made her much more curious as usually there weren't many who could become a shaman. She managed to get into the school at a young age but unfortunately for her, she wasn't as gifted as the rest and could only give up after several years of training.

She used her savings to open up this Inn with her father so that she could have some sort of livelihood. The only thing that bothered her was that he seemed to be an elementary shaman apprentice from the feeling she got but he seemed to be a regular guy when she tried sensing it. It's as though there were no energy leaks from him and that's a surprising trait to have as only a true shaman could somewhat hide his energy levels from the masses. Unless he knew a specific technique which as far as she knew wasn't normal.

If only Penta knew he hadn't actually become a First-grade Shaman as he believed. He would be definitely shocked.

"Meal's ready! Celia! Get the girls to serve." Claud yelled from the back and all the customers heard it so they were eager to try the dish.

Celia of course, being the astute and slightly cunning lady she was made sure anyone who wanted some, paid. With the obvious exception of the guy who brought in the whole 200kg bone boar. They were going to have stock for a little while and even they knew that this meal wasn't something that was brought out often as the different restaurants and Inn's usually split the market on the bone boars.

Smiling, Celia herself brought over a large tray with a large serving of stewed boar meat glazed with a sauce Penta never smelt before. She also added a nice mug of sweet wine on the side and told him " Enjoy".

Penta who was already hungry from the wait nodded at her with a smile and started digging in with his utensils.

Putting the first piece of boar meat with sauce into his mouth, his tongue exploded with flavor and juices from the meat. His eyes opened wide and he couldn't help but moan a little. The smile he gave was that of total bliss.

He had been grilling the thing with some random spices he found but it had never tasted as good as it did now. The texture and flavor were worlds apart from his own cooking.

Other customers who originally didn't care about the meat couldn't help but gulp when they say his face of bliss and started ordering the meal as well causing Celia to smile at Penta again. She liked how he appreciated the food.

She had grown up with her father's cooking and even she knew he was a notch above common chefs and she couldn't help but be glad when people enjoyed the food they served here.

However, she was also shocked that from the moment she served the plate to looking around at the new orders to the customers that Penta had already finished his plate and was drinking his wine with a face that likened him to a child's innocent bliss.

She couldn't help but giggle and return with another serving to which Penta had, even more, sparkles glowing in his eyes.

He nodded again with a smile and ate his meal with just as much enjoyment as the first time.

Penta had made up his mind that whenever he caught something that he would definitely bring it here to get cooked. He was a man who was forced to eat dirt. He knew how much worse he had it and would never allow himself to fall to such level again.

"Celia..." Penta finally said after finishing his meal. Celia looked over to him and realized he must be tired after the meal. She smiled and brought out a key to which he immediately smiled widely and nodded his head like a pecking chicken.

Seeing his earnest face nodding like that, she laughed again before starting to walk upstairs while calling him.

"Follow me, Penta."

Penta obviously understood the gesture rather than the words and followed behind. He couldn't help but notice the sweet curves she had on her body as the apron was hiding it originally but walking behind her as she ascended the stairs left a sight for sore eyes to which he simply smiled as he followed.

As they came towards the room with a weird figure scribbled on it that matched the key in Celia's hand. He realized she was offering him the room key. He smiled and took it as he opened the door.

He looked inside for a moment and was quite satisfied as all he cared about was the decent size bed that was in the room. He immediately ran in and wrapped himself in the sheets while almost purring like a cat. He couldn't help it as he hadn't seen a bed in almost a year.

Celia shocked at his sudden actions, kept giggling as she couldn't understand what this guy went through for him to be so weird. If only she knew.

Smiling she was about to close the door but Penta suddenly called out: " Celia!"

She stopped and looked at him and he started signing again. "Uhm..Uhm...Celia!"

"Yes, Penta?" She asked and he suddenly just repeated " Yes."

His words confused her for only a short moment before she saw him repeat the word "yes" over and over again.

She seemed to recall their original meeting and he did seem to ask for something else besides food and a room. Clarity filled her mind as she remembered he was probably from the forest or mountains and just got here. His different looks and lack of knowledge on communicating confirmed her suspicions.

The bone boar alone was worth at least a few days of food and board so she decided to teach him a little of the language for having made her laugh so much today. Smiling she put out her hand and said "Wait, Penta."

He simply replied "Yes" while nodding. She giggled as Penta really did seem cute from her perspective.

She closed the door and walked away as Penta thought to himself.

"She really does seem to be a nice person. Good thing I cam here, hahaha, damn though I feel retarded from the way everyone was looking and laughing at me but what the hell am I supposed to do. I gotta come off as nice and genuine or else how else could I have gotten this beautifully nice bed to lie on and that meal. Oh god that meal, I can still taste it..." Penta mumbled as some drool leaked from his lips.

His personality did go through a few changes from the moment he had come into this new life and he simply decided to accept it. Still better than being a lunatic, at least he could think straight and he believed he had time considering he had just gotten here and he firmly believed, he wouldn't be able to ascend to a level where he could fight Nite without preparations.

With that Penta started dozing off in the comfortable sheets of the bed as he didn't even want to meditate today.
