1 A helpness mind

I saw a small boy standing in the woods and crying. The boy was standing still, his sobs were clearly heart wrenching because that was the only thing echoing through the woods at that time. He had closed his eyes as he cried with his hands folded as though he was silently praying to the almighty to help him. His frail body had gone rigid with fear. His clothes were soaked with mud. May be he had fallen off from the view point. I tried to think. If I helped him, I would be risking myself unnecessarily. But I was reluctant to turn away too.

I had decided.

"I will help him even if I risk my own life." I thought. Just when I was approaching the boy I heard a deafening noise and suddenly I felt my leg go numb as I heard myself yelp in pain.

"Leave him alone you nasty lion!" A man bellowed holding a brown stick in his hand pointed at me.

I fled.

"Why do these wild animals even exist? These pathetic humans!" I cursed myself for thinking to help as I limped back slowly to my home, the cave.
