Our Omega
Kai Green had been alone longer than he cared to remember.
His omega-da died while giving birth to him and his alpha-pa struck with grief, left him on the porch steps of his maternal grandmother's house. Grandma Elle tried her best to raise him, a widowed omega herself, but she passed away when Kai had just turned 17.
Kai did his best to avoid the authorities until he turned 18 and has been alone ever since.
He once wanted the all-American dream - a white, picket fence, a few pups to call his own, and a loving, devoted alpha but Kai grew up and realized life didn't work like that. Well, for him at least.
So he spent every heat he’d had since he presented, alone. In those moments when the heat fever clouded his mind and he felt delirious with an empty, aching need, he used to cry and call out for an alpha that could help him and ease the pain he felt in his very soul.
No one ever answered the omega’s call. But it was to be expected.
Until one day they did. Yes, they. As in Plural.

Eli and Gage have been together since they were nothing but preteen pups. Before both of them presented as alphas they had sworn to never leave each other and that no one would get between them and what they have.
The world had become more accepting of alpha/alpha relationships but there were still those that viewed it as “wrong” or “disgusting”. But that never deterred them or made them doubt the love they share.
Eli was a paramedic that was in the OHSD (Omega Heat Support Department). He often got called out to omegas that had been experiencing a dangerous level of heat fever who needed medical assistance in eating, washing up and general care. His alpha pheromones often helped the omegas calm which helped Eli and his team do their job effectively. It was an odd job for an alpha but omegas in heat held no interest to Eli who had only ever enjoyed his alpha mates scent.
That was until he got called out to a little grumpy omega who was too stubborn to admit that he needed help. And the inner alpha in Eli, who was never too far from the surface, awoke.
Red eyes flashed.
