The boy slowly stood up, revealing a bothered expression, his pale face adorned with two different colored eyes, one as blue as a sapphire and the other, as red as a ruby, he had sharp eyebrows, a pointed nose and thin lips, just like her sister.

"What is it this time?" He replied.

"Well. I'm not sure; he said that he needs to talk to you about something." Elise answered.

"He's been telling me those stories about monsters and people who can shoot fire, I'm sick of it." Curtis said. Then he thought of something. "Just tell him you didn't find me, please?" He begged.

"Now you know I can't do that, also the weekend is almost over, Clay and I are gonna be returning to the academy soon, we ought to spend more time together!" She argued.

"I'll be going to that academy next year, then we can spend some time together, also he says those stories are true, and I don't believe him." Curtis reasoned.

"Dinner is gonna be served soon, you don't want mom to get angry." Elise countered.

Curtis was silent for a moment before agreeing helplessly.

"Fine, but you go on ahead, I'll just admire the sunset for a while longer." Curtis said.

Curtis watched on as Elise left almost skipping, having won. "She always brings up mom every time." Curtis thought.

Curtis sat there under the tree, admiring the sunset.

"It's been 7 years huh." Curtis thought about the things he has learned and started walking towards his home.

The world he is in is called Uruk. It was a small world, from what he read it only has 1 continent, Constella which was shaped like a weird sphere, which had its eastern part sunken, and the continent covers about 1/4th of the world, the rest is covered by water. There are 4 Cities currently, Elyun, which is the Capital and is located in the center, Cristas, his mother's birthplace, located north of the capital, Shesari, the city he lives in, located east of the continent, and lastly Harmonia, at the west of the capital.

Walking towards his home, he couldn't help but admire the architecture, it has a certain english style to it, it is a 2-storey mansion with over 10 bedrooms, a ballroom, a recreation hall, not even counting the servant's quarters it really is a large estate, surrounded by gardens and woodland it has a certain homely feel to it.

Entering through the garden he found his personal guard, Esbern, standing across the fountain, wearing tight fitting sleeves, loose slacks, black boots and a sheathed sword attached to his belt, likely waiting on him. He was a young servant-turned guard that was adopted by the head maid, Sherry, he is a young man, not older than 20, with a tall build, you'd think he was older.

"Good evening young master." Esbern greeted. He has short black hair, sharp eyes, a crooked nose, thick lips and a well defined jaw; he also had early signs of a beard growing.

"Good evening Esbern." Curties replied. "Have you been waiting for me?"

"Yes young master, lady Elise told me to remind you that the lady of the house is waiting." Esbern answered.

Curtis cringed. His sister had all the bases covered.

Rushing into the house, he found his family inside the dining hall waiting for him.

"Good evening mother." Curtis bowed.

"You're home late again dear." Martha calmly replied, but that only send chills down his spine.

"I fell asleep under the tree again." Curtis quickly explained.

"You'll be studying with your father tonight." Martha said, quickly deciding his fate.

Taking a look at his older siblings he saw them looking away, not wanting to join him in this night of torture. "Traitors" he thought.

"Now now, don't look like that, were only gonna be covering the usual tonight." Curtis sighed in relief at his father's words before he added. "Because tomorrow were gonna go study the history of our ancestor."

Curtis deflated, focusing his attention on his food.

...

Following his father into the study he thought about the life has now. He has a loving mother and father, a great brother and sister, servants that tent to his every need, a cute maid and a brother-like personal guard.

"Will I get an arranged marriage with a beautiful girl in the future? That wouldn't be too bad." Curtis thought as he sat in a chair.

As his father walked to the shelf, he observed his father's study. It has more than a few bookshelves; most are filled with educational material as he has a habit of teaching his kids in his spare time, especially now that Curtis is nearing academy age.

The room has a rectangular area, with bookshelf after bookshelf lining the walls. There is an old english desk, behind the central bookshelf, with a red-cushioned seat right behind it, in front of it are two english style red-cushioned chairs, one occupied by Curtis, by the floor lay a fur carpet taken from a brown bear, contrasting well with the study.

As he was admiring his father's study, Jacob came and sat on his chair holding an old book.

"Let's start shall we? How do you kill a Purple-back Mountain wolf?"

"The wolf has three hearts, two positioned between the lungs, and one below abdomen. Either I puncture all three or cut of it's head." Curtis answered mechanically.

"Good, now how do you hide from a Crystal-crested snake?"

"Mask your scent once you find signs of one with another animal's and get out of the area."

"You use another animal's entrails or blood, but it has to be of equal or higher rank than the Crystal-crested snake, otherwise it will chase you if it deems you weaker." Jacob reminded.

"A Silverback wolf or a Violet feathered Crow will work." Curtis answered.

Jacob smiled. "You remembered. But, only use a mature crow's blood; the younger ones pose less of a threat than an adult's, a strong Crystal-crested snake will try to fight it.

...

Curtis was only allowed out of his father's study by midnight. He walked to his room slowly as he tried to revise the things he learned tonight.

Arriving at his room, he saw Millie asleep on a chair. He saw his sleep wear neatly arranged on the bed.

He has a large british bedroom, a Large bed enough for even 3 people to sleep in, An incomplete bookshelf as he doesn't have a reason to buy books yet, a small table and chair by the window where he could read, and a dresser with a mirror. He walked to the chair where Millie was sleeping.

"You should have just arranged this on the bed Millie; you don't need to help me put them on." Curtis said waking her up. "Go back to your quarters and rest for the night."

"I'm just doing my job." Millie said sleepily. "Come on young master, let me help you."

"Look you're even struggling to open your eyes, just go to sleep." Curtis said pushing Millie to the door.

"All right, but tomorrow morning I'll help you get dressed, good night young master." Millie said walking back to the servant's quarters.

"Good night Millie." Curtis said closing the door. It was quite a tiring day.
