1 Chptr 1 I'm Back

Heavy rain suddenly poured out, accompanied by loud roars of thunder while lightning scattered in the skies, a 24 years old man was walking towards a certain direction.

This young man was in the middle of the city wearing a black hooded jacket, a pair of sneakers and a denim jean. In his right hand was a bottle of fully sealed gin.

If people looked at him, they would think of him as someone who wasn't on his right mind thus they ignored him, some ridiculed him and others were afraid of him. They even made him a monster to scare the children.

"If you won't behave, that monster man will get you and you will never see us again!" Threatened a mother to her daughter while pointing at the man.

"Another scum of our society!" A passing man wearing a business suit said harshly.

Hearing those words, the young man didn't even flinch as he hailed a taxi to take him to the cemetery. Unfortunately, the taxi driver thought of him as crazy or a bastard that would slander people.

Still, he never gave up and continued calling for taxi until one appeared in his front. The driver was an old man, probably around 50 years old or above, "Where to young man?"

"Cemetery," The young man replied with a poker face.

"Sure!" The driver smiled at him as they went towards their direction.

Sitting at the passenger side, he was reminiscing the past.

Two years ago, he was on his way to work at a construction site when he suddenly received a call from an unknown number. He picked it up, "Hello, whose this?"

"Ajy? I want you to come to this address. I have to tell you about your son," A man said on the other line.

*Note: Ajy (Read as Aji)*

"Son? What do you mean son?" Ajy replied with confusion as he only experienced being with a woman once and that was when he realized, "Wait! You mean Mira and we had a child?"

"You'll know when you get here!" The man from the other line said as he ended the call.

"Wait!" Ajy wanted to ask more but the call ended before he could ask for more information.

Ajy was hesitant if the call was a prank or the truth. He wanted to find out so he immediately headed straight to their engineer's office to ask for a day off.

"You know we were lacking of manpower Ajy, why now?" The engineer asked him with confusion and slight anger.

"I'm sorry sir but I really need to go," Ajy replied with an eager tone not even explaining himself.

"You do know that you can't be accepted again by other companies because of what you did to Miss Goldwyn right? And it was only because our boss took pity on you that he accepted you. And if you leave now, you can never come back!" The engineer threatened looking piss.

Sighing, Ajy was reluctant to leave his job but if the call he received was true, would he just work and forget about his child? "Sir, then I'm fine with not coming back in here!"

"Then don't comeback!" The engineer shouted glaring at Ajy.

Just as Ajy was about to leave the construction premises, he heard a voice in front of him, "Who are you to decide about whether he can leave or not?"

"Sir, It's not that. It's just, he wanted to leave despite knowing that we badly needed manpower," The engineer explained nervously.

"Just because of that?" A middle aged man wearing a business suit asked as he turned to Ajy, "So what was the reason Ajy?"

"My son," Ajy replied while still walking away depressed. He knew his decision and he can't go back. A life full of work without knowing he had a son was a greatest insult to a passionate and kind young man like him. He has to go whether it was true or not. He needs to know the truth.

And if ever he can't go back or won't be accepted again by the other companies, he'll just have to go back to the mountains and farm.

"Come to my office after settling that matter," The middle aged man said smiling.

Turning back, Ajy nodded and continued walking away. He doesn't know the meaning behind that smile but he already accepted his fate - he can only go back to his hometown and be a farmer.

Meanwhile, at the construction site, the engineer was puzzled, "You don't mean, you're still gonna accept him sir?"

"Of course!" The middle aged man replied smiling.

"Why? I thought you need every manpower you needed to finish this building?" The engineer was puzzled and pissed even forgetting that he was talking to his boss.

"Of course I needed everyone with the exception of Ajy. Why? Because he's the only worker I have whose so industrious and respectful. He's always late getting home to clean the equipments used by everyone, he comes back every sunday to check whether we have missing equipments, he would sometimes sleep at the site to guard the premises despite having security guards and he's the only one who would always pay for things broken or destroyed even if he wasn't the one who destroyed it. Do you know those things? Things that you as an engineer should be aware of? Those things that you never bothered?" The middle aged man questioned.

Sweating, the engineer was stunned about how his boss knew of those things. He never really bothered about those things because he hated being dirty. He would just go on their site to shout, command and scold everyone. Also, he always looked at Ajy as a trash for raping one of the Goldwyn's daughter.

Back to Ajy, he went home and instantly changed clothes as he hurriedly went towards the address given to him by the unknown caller.

Arriving at the address, it was a very tall building and on the first floor was a grand restaurant that only the rich people could afford.

"Are you Mister Ajy?" A beautiful lady who was the receptionist of the building walked towards him looking at his simple clean clothes but to her eyes were shabby. She was disgusted.

Not bothering her reaction, Ajy just nodded and the lady ushered him towards one of the VIP rooms of the restaurant.

Opening the door, Ajy was recognizing the handsome man who was just older than him for a few years. He was sitting elegantly with a welcoming smile plastered on his face while sipping a classy drink that would cost a fortune.

"Hello Ajy, it's nice to meet you personally. I'm Mori, Mira's sister. Please take a sit," Mori said as he smiled elegantly.

"I never thought the brother of Mira would call me despite what I have done to your sister. It's nice to meet you!" Lander said while forcing a smile.

Mori just chuckled, "Anyway, what do you want to eat? It's on me!"

"It's fine, I'm full. I just came here if what you said on the phone was true," Ajy declined as he was eager to learn the truth.

"Straightforward I say. Very well!" Mori then changed his expression to coldness, "Everything I said on the phone was true!"

Back to the present, Ajy arrived at the cemetery as he thanked the driver, payed him and went towards a certain grave.

Beads of rain still continued pouring as Lander arrived at the grave of his son. He then opened the bottle of gin, poured some to his son's grave and drank a few times before saying, "Son, after two years, I'm back. From today onwards, I will show those people to never look down on an UNKNOWN ever again. I will show them that this dad of yours is also one of the greatest people out there and will never be FORGOTTEN. I will build an empire for you my son. And to do that, I will start by continuing to play W.A.R.."
