...

Ciel Arnauld, who was lying limply in a cramped cell with a body covered in wounds was stunned when he saw the strange change in his stats displayed on the virtual screen that he could see with his mind.

Everyone has a Spiritual Chip installed in the brain and it can record overall body stats so that everyone can know the condition of their body, from their strength to the things they can do.

What surprised Ciel the most was of course the increase in strength he felt, he now felt many times stronger as if he had just made successive breakthroughs.

'What really happened?' He quickly sat up, something he was previously unable to do but now he can do with ease because the vitality he currently has makes all the injuries on his body insignificant at all. Even the hunger in his stomach disappeared in an instant.

He then peeked into his Heart Space, the place where everything came from.

On top of his Mana Pool, he saw seven giant gates where the one on the far left was open.

It gave off five streams of mysterious energy one of which went into his Mana Pool so that the pool became many times bigger.

Three flowed into his body while the last one flowed towards his head, possibly towards his soul.

After staring at the gate for a while, he found he could stop the flow of energy but couldn't close it again.

The other gates gave him the feeling he could open them but didn't have enough strength to do so.

Besides those seven gates, there were seven things that looked like plates. Above each of them, was a single word, of Fire, Water, Earth, Lightning, Wind, Light, and Darkness.

Faintly, there was a light radiating above them.

Ciel felt like he could make the light even brighter. It was possible to activate them.

'Where did all this come from, is this what Caesar was looking for?'

The man was always asking about something his parents had left him, but he himself didn't know what it was.

Maybe Caesar himself wasn't sure about it because he just kept asking questions, but never went into details.

'This is also amazing, my chip knows the name of this body and the things in it, has it been renewed?'

There are cases where a baby is born with some kind of gift.

Although it is not yet known, when a chip is installed in the baby's brain, it suddenly writes details about the gift.

It was later discovered that the gift fed its own information to the chip.

'But it's quite strange since Teleportation has no grades, are there any skills that don't have grades?'

'Well, no matter what this is, this is a good thing that could change my fate,' thought Ciel.

He had suffered too much. First his parents left, then his adopted sister.

When they weren't there, he was tortured almost every day for a year. If one more year was added, he would probably be completely insane.

Even if the Devil who gave him power on the condition of slaughtering a city, he didn't mind at all.

He immediately looked at the two men who were playing chess in front of his cell.

Now he wanted to take care of them first.

But he didn't move right away, he activated his Spiritual Sense, which apparently now had a range of over a hundred meters. This was practically something that only Level 11 Evolvers and above could do.

Spiritual Sense itself is the power that comes from the souls of Evolvers. It was like a radar that could penetrate any object that contained no power. With that, Evolvers could sense the area around them quite clearly.

At higher levels, they could see with their Spiritual Sense and even speak through it.

At the same time, Ciel immediately found a way to teleport.

It's very easy and simple, he just needs to think of the location where he wants to go.

The two men playing chess immediately noticed that he was sitting, they stared at him. One of them who was a thin man with fangs said, "Son, it seems today's torment is still not enough, it turns out that you can still sit down."

He stood up, but right after that, Ciel disappeared and appeared right behind him.

He drew the sword hanging from his waist.

With eyes like a beast, he slashed the sword at his head.

Bang...

At the same time, his body exploded with a pressure that made the air freeze.

Rip...

With great ease, the sword sliced through the man's head until his body was also split open.

The other man was so stunned that his body froze.

They were at Level 7. During this one year, Ciel was like a kitten in their eyes, but now, this kitten had suddenly turned into like an old lion.

Ciel didn't stop even for a moment.

He lunged at the man at full speed and directly stabbed the sword into his heart.

It was the first time he had killed, but there was no difficulty as these two men tortured him every day.

Of course, the one he hated the most was still Caesar because he was the cause of everything.

The man was very friendly when his adopted sister was around, but he became violent after she left.

"Hmph, Caesar, next time we meet, I'll boil you in the hottest water," he said coldly.

"And, maybe now I can't do anything to you, but I can still get you in big trouble."

Immediately after, he used teleportation to its full potential, to the end of his Spiritual Sense's range.

But the prison was huge too, it took him three teleports to get out of there.

The scenery changed, he appeared in a desert filled with dust.

Behind him was the building that was the prison he was confined to. It was surrounded by hills which were constantly blowing dust so as to cover the area in their midst.

There were many prisoners there, they were of various races. Even people from a small tribe in a corner of the world were there.

"If I didn't have teleportation, even with my current strength, it might be nearly impossible for me to escape from this prison," Ciel said.

He looked to the North.

The location he was in now was the South of the Arabian peninsula, a land that had been nearly destroyed even before the Evolver Era.

However, in the North and East is a very prosperous region inhabited not only by Arabs, but various races from various parts of the world.

Before the Evolver Era itself, so many people had come to this peninsula to work that their numbers outnumbered the natives.

And they became more numerous after the pits appeared because the Underground World under this vast desert was one of those places full of ancient heritage.

Not wanting to be found, Ciel immediately teleported again.

It required Mana Energy, but not too much, he wasn't tired at all even after teleporting twenty times.

He knew it was because of his new body factor. If it was someone else, even if they had teleportation abilities, using it would probably require a lot of Mana Energy.

The problem is; he had never even heard of anyone else possessing this kind of ability.

So far, he had only heard of people who could teleport things like weapons or other types of attacks, but not with their own bodies.

He, on the other hand, can do both.

On the way, he also finds himself able to control the space around him even though his range of control is very small.

It turned out that controlling space required a lot of Mana Energy.

That's not surprising because the devastation caused by spatial control is terrifying as well.

So far what's been pretty easy to do is create a pocket of space where he can send objects into it.

It had the same function as a Space Artifact so he didn't need it anymore.

It should be noted that Space Artifacts are rare items so only Evolvers at the top level or with a strong background possess them.

He thought that if he could insert that space pocket into the artifact, the result would probably be the Space Artifact itself.

Unfortunately now that he didn't have a method of doing it, it seemed that it would require the help of an artifact expert.

About 15 minutes later, he arrived at a not-so-big city, probably having around 100,000 inhabitants.

Most of the people in this city were just mortals because those who could train went to the Underground World.

After entering the city, Ciel commits several thefts by relying on his teleportation ability and ends his actions by going straight into a hotel room.

In that room, he went to the bathroom and immediately doused himself with water.

One year he didn't shower, it was really very uncomfortable.

While taking a bath, he looked at his figure in the mirror.

Except for his hair which had become quite long and his body had become slightly thinner and his age had increased to 17 years, there was no significant change in his figure.

His wounds had completely healed, leaving only scars that seemed like they couldn't go away unless a special ointment was applied.

It wasn't necessary because he thought he looked more domineering with all those scars.

With the sword he carried, he cut his blonde hair so that his face was finally clearly visible.

He has soft pale white skin with a pointed face shape and a pair of slightly rosy lips.

Even though he was a man, the word beautiful suited him more than handsome.

Despite his pretty bad life so far, that doesn't change the fact that he is the son of an extraordinary person.

When he saw his eyes, he couldn't help but be surprised because his once green eyes had turned somewhat transparent.

"It seems to be due to the energy from the Space Gate," he said.

He peeked at his Heart Space again and finally stopped the flow of energy from the Space Gate.

His strength dropped drastically after that while his eyes actually turned green again.

Even so, he was still able to use his teleportation ability.

"This body difference is so obvious, I feel like I can easily absorb Nature Essence," he said again.

Ever since the Underground World was discovered, humans found the Core in the creatures that inhabited that world.

These cores were extremely magical, they contained a mysterious energy called Nature Essence.

One only needed to swallow them and then absorb the Natural Essence they contained.

Once there are enough of them, they can be used to level up.

Of course, absorbing Nature Essence was also not something that everyone could do.

Most people fail more often than succeed, talent determines that.

Even so, it's still way easier than the time before the Cores were invented where people leveled up orthodoxly by absorbing energy in nature.

"The question is; what Level Core will I swallow to raise my level, Level 3 or Level 13?"

That's what made him curious.

Normally, swallowing a Core below one's own level has no effect anymore, only a Core that is equivalent to or above one's own level.

The latter is quite dangerous because the body may not be able to withstand it.

The points earned from one Core are also uncertain because the Core is not only divided into levels, but also quality.

The most ordinary Core, the Copper Core, only gave 1 point of Natural Essence, but the high quality ones could give tens of points with a single Core.

He then looked down at the elemental plates.

'Maybe I can only pick one for now,' he thought, considering only one gate to open.

He started to think about which element he would choose.

'Going back to London might not be a good choice given the number of enemies my parents have there, I'll be in trouble if I go back.'

If it weren't for that, he wouldn't have followed Caesar to America which in fact took him to the Middle East.

'Staying here is still much better. And here is a hot desert region, the Underground World here should be the same, perhaps fire is the most suitable.'

After a moment of thought, he finally tried to activate the Fire Plate.

The faint light above the plate quickly became so bright that it turned into a lotus-shaped flame.

"So that's how it is, the plates are called sources," Ciel said.

He looked at his hands.

Now he could feel the sensation of having the power of fire.

However, for the other plates, he ended up feeling a lack of power to activate them.

In the mirror, he saw his eyes were red like fire.

When he expelled the energy from the Space Gate, he found his eyes turning a mixture of transparent and red.

'This looks weird,' he thought.

Unfortunately there was nothing he could do with it.

After that, he came out of the bathroom, got dressed, and climbed into bed.
