Year 2190 With earth as their starting point humans have spread out across the solar system ushering in a new era of exploration and technological advancement. Year 2195 Explorers discover ruins of an ancient temple while exploring the rings of Saturn. Thinking that they are no longer the only sentient life in the universe humans began a desperate search. Year 2206 After searching for more than a decade no other life was found but dispite this discoveries were still made. Many ruins were discovered across the solar system along with relics and curios. One discovery shocked all of humanity, all the ruins were linked to Earth's mythology! Many theories were made but no one was able to figure out why this could be but one thing everyone agreed on was that the humans were once more alone in the universe. Year 2220 Everything changed on the day the Old Gods returned bringing with them their armies of creatures and beings thought only to be myth. Excited humanity welcomed them with open arms happy to finally find brothers in the universe. Sadly what greeted them was war. Year 2335 Humanity was unable to resist the power of the old gods with their technology. Desperate they turned to religion in hopes of finding a savior, no one answered. Humanity was forced to abandon everything and retreat back to Earth while it's enemies grew stronger as the Old Gods reclaimed their lost cities and territories. With no other options, and in hopes of saving lives, Humanity surrendered to the Old Gods. *************** The world's newest gaming company, Elysium, announced that they will revolutionize the gaming industry with their new VR gaming headset. With it came their flagship game, War of Worlds. Boasting that players wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the real world and the VR world they left the world waiting with bated breath for it's release.
