2 Survive

"I can't die! I can't die! I can't die!....

The eerie silence of the Dark woods was broken by these chants. A thin and weak looking youth can be seen running through the dense forest. His aura was almost non-existent, his life-force fading away. Hardly any part of his body was uninjured. There was a ghastly wound at his abdominal area from where blood was oozing out nonstop. His face, which was still immature, was as white as paper. His thin and pale lips continued chanting his will to survive. If any martial practitioner was to see the young lad, he would have shocked still. The injuries on his body were bad enough to kill any ordinary martial practitioner, but the youth kept on running with just his will power.

Soon a group of youths accompanied by an old man with powerful aura emerged from the bushes. They saw the running youth and were shocked. The leading youth who was around 12 years of age and wore an arrogant look stepped forward and sneered " Hahaha look at this mad dog. We have almost killed him and he is still running like anything. Zhao Yun oh Zhao Yun! Weren't you talented. Weren't you strong. Now look at you. Such a great genius you are. Running away like a dead dog. "

The injured youth whose name was Zhao Yun didn't even hear what he said. He carried on running as his life depended on it while constantly chanting "I can't die"

"His talents were already shocking, and his will power is off the charts! If he was given some time, he would have become an expert who looked down on the heaven and earth. It's a pity." Sighed the old man.

"Second elder stop praising that mad dog and get rid of him already" demanded the arrogant looking youth.

"Kun'er, he's already on the death's door. It would not need me to act now would it? He's just a branch family member of our Zhao clan. You, on the other hand, are the young master of our clan. He's not worth your time." second elder.

"You are right elder, but I have been suppressed by the same branch family dog you spoke of. I won't be able to cultivate peacefully if he does not die." Said Zhao Kun.

Unknowingly Zhao Yun was closing in to a cliff which was a famous forbidden zone in the forest. The Despairing Cliff. It had a record that anyone who went in there would come out completely changed. They would become muddle headed and whenever the name of the cliff was mentioned they would scream like wild beasts. The only expression that could be seen on their faces was fear, absolute fear.

Zhao Yun was in a peculiar state. The only thing on his mind was to survive. It was already a miracle that he was alive, let alone run with all the injuries he had. He had run all the way to the cliff. The ghastly and powerful aura of the cliff woke him up from the madness.

"AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" as soon as he got his reasons back Zhao Yun released a piercing howl. The pain was threatening to take his life. He was feeling dizzy. He knew he cannot fall unconscious. As soon as he fainted he would die. He bit his tongue to overcome the pain. By now he was both mentally and physically exhausted. Even though he was experiencing all that, his will to live never faded. Suddenly he heard the whistling of the wind behind him. He turned around and found second elder and Zhao Kun making their way towards him. He was angry, indignant, aggrieved. But all he could do was staring at them. He was just a branch family member. His parents were people with extremely low level of talent. He had no status or backing. He was not impulsive to threaten them. If he did so he would implicate his parents. He silently swore in his heart. If he survived he would eradicate the entire bloodline of people who harmed him. He closed his eyes and jumped backwards, directly falling from the cliff.

Second elder and Zhao Kun saw all this. "Hahaha finally that bastard is dead. It's a pity I couldn't kill him myself though. Now I'm the number 1 in the Zhao family younger generations." Zhao Kun laughed.

Second elder looked at him and silently shook his head : with this character how can he become a powerhouse.

Without knowing why the elder felt a sense of unease when he saw the place Zhao Yun had jumped from. Shaking his head he decided to put this matter at the back of his head. And took Zhao Kun, who was arrogantly dreaming about how he would lord over the Zhao clan, and flew towards the clan area.
