11 CHAPTER 10

In a large mansion in Kalea city, a little girl with yellow hair could be seen in her large bed sobbing greatly.

She turned her head to the side and picked up a photo. In it, the same girl could be seen in the arms of an older boy with bright green hair and eyes. This was naturally Gideon and Victoria.

Seeing her brother, Victoria cried even more as she remembered the news she received an hour before.

Hearing about the attack on the train and how Gideon was presumed dead, she could handle the news and broke down.

Her beloved brother, dead, he was her world and now he's gone.

This pain soon turned to rage as she blamed her parents for sending him to the military school.

"Little Victoria you need to understand, that boy brought shame to our family, it's better that he's gone." A very beautiful woman with white hair said, though her expression was unsightly at the moment, sho was Victoria's mother Kira.

"How can you be so insensitive to your own child, my Brother NEVER did anything wrong. Just because he was born with bad talent doesn't mean you should treat him like trash. How can someone be so heartless to their own child and feel no remorse." Victoria said as she wept bitterly.

Her father got close to her and tried to comfort her. But in a fit of anger she pushed him away and ran up the stairs.

"I HATE BOTH YOU AND I WANT YOU TO GET OUT OF MY LIFE. I WOULD RATHER LIVE ON THE COLD ROAD THAN ACCEPT YOU TWO AS MY PARENTS." These words stunned her parents as this didn't sound like something someone would say when throwing a tantrum, this sounded like a vow.

"I will get stronger, so that I can avenge you brother, I swear on my life." Victoria muttered as her heart firmed with resolve.

THREE YEARS LATER

Inside a massive forest, beasts of all sorts roamed about. Some hunted, some took care of their children, others fought for territory. It was a normal day in the forest of beasts.

Gideon who had greatly matured woke up and stretched before getting up.

While sporting a small stubble, Gideon had gone through many changes both physically and mentally with his green hair just reaching his shoulders and an air if mature and dangerous charm loomed over him.

One very notable thing was his massive change in temperament as a crafty and calculative look flashed in his eyes from time to time.

His height had greatly increased as he was now 6'4 and every move he made was quick and efficient to the extreme.

$Good morning master.$ Frey greeted with his usual cheerfulness.

#Good morning as well.# Hades deep voice also rang out.

The two daggers had also changed quite a bit over the past three years as Gideon had also been trying his best to make them stronger.

Frey's blade became slightly smaller but much sharper and tougher was a very dark shade of green with red swirls covering it's surface and the veins from before reduced in number but became far more profound and surged with power.

Hades on the other hand looked terrifying as the jet black surface was littered with what looked like screaming souls and when one looked at it, they would feel a sense of dread.

He also no longer had the combat vest as he had upgraded it numerous times so now he wore a black skintight suit that was very durable.

"Morning." Gideon responded to his weapons as he pulled up his stat window.

His stats had been boosted significantly and he has also created many brand new and powerful skills while upgrading his other ones.

Firstly, Poison Manipulation had become Poison Overlord. This greatly increased his control over the poison element allowing him to control it with ease

The next skill was Poison Overdrive which was the upgraded version of Poison Surge and this increased the strength of his daggers allowing them to cut through armour and defense like butter.

After that was Poison Break which was from Poison Barrage and this created thousands of very deadly Poison Blades that would shoot in any direction he wished.

Next was Presence removal which basically made him invisible as long as his opponent wasn't much stronger than him.

One Hit comes from Critical strike and as long as the opponent is the same rank and they don't see him, he can instantly one Hit them.

Poison Aura came from Poison Surge and elevated his combat strength immensely as a dense Aura would seep into his very blood causing a drastic raise in strength, though it was one of his higher costing skills.

Dagger arts made his dagger wielding skills to be unrivaled as trying to catch his moves would be like trying to see how many strands of hair one has.

Poison Inferno was the upgraded version of Poison flames and would unleash a wave of dense green flames that burnt and poisoned all that it hits.

Poison barrier as the name suggests creates a dense green barrier around him which protects him and also poisons those that attack it.

Poison fog is an AOE type skill as a dense poisonous fog covers a large area dealing all sorts of damage.

Poison flight collects large amounts of poison fog which can lift his body and allows him to fly.

Lastly, Poison Avatar summons a huge semi translucent figure which dual wields daggers and can deal massive damage. It's body isn't fully formed however making it incomplete.

Gideon looked at his stats which he had developed for the past three years and nodded, his strength was now at the sacred rank.

"I think it's time now." Gideon muttered as he got out of the cave where he resided and started walking in a certain direction in the large forest.

He had become quite familiar with this ace after coming here multiple times. And which place is this you may ask? Well this is where he met the creature that made him run for his life, the territory of the basilisk.

The two of them had faced off numerous times, all of which resulted in Gideon's defeat. But as they fought, he got a better understanding of the monster's strength. And his chances were also increased now that their strength was in the same rank.

A playful smile tugged at his lips as he remembered all the times the basilisk wrecked him and forced him to retreat.

A dangerous light flashed in his eyes as he approached the cave that held the huge monster.

"Hello friend, it's about time we had a rematch."
