37. Negotiation

"Then can you heal the 3rd princess?!"

Andy showed a "pained" expression hearing this question, then he look a deep breadth and replied

"There are basically 2 methods that I can think of, first is that I send my sun energy into 3rd princess' meridians to heat up the mana, which will cause some damage to her meridians same as when headmistress tried heating up her meridians. But my method will be much more efficient since I will be directly targeting her mana instead of her meridians. But the same problem remains, after about 2-3 hours her ice energy will again freeze her mana and every time I perform this process, her meridians will keep deteriorating. So I wouldn't recommend this."

After saying that Andy sighed and didn't continue. 3rd queen couldn't take it anymore and nervously asked

"What is the second method?"

Andy then shook his head in apologetic way and said

"Please forgive me her majesty, but I can't perform second method"

Hearing this headmistress expression darkened and atmosphere in the room changed, examiner present here was sweating profusely and cursed himself for getting himself into this mess. This headmistress was arguably the strongest person in this country.

"Little boy, do you know that denying a request from royal family is punishable offence and your entire family may get executed as a punishment" threatened headmistress.

Hearing this Andy's expression changed and looked at headmistress with killing intent. He hates it most when someone threatens his family. This is also the main reason he didn't reveal any of his skills to public until he got shapeshifter skill.

Andy was about to say something in fit of rage when 3rd queen said

"Please master let me deal with this! You couldn't save anyone... neither my sister nor my daughter... Now if something happens to my daughter because of this attitude of your, I will- I will never forgive you!" said the 3rd queen as tears were falling off her eyes.

"Mia..." headmistress was shocked, this was the first time Mia ever raised her voice to her. Although she had no children of her own, she always loved her 2 most cherished apprentices Lily and Mia like her own children.

Many years ago she couldn't save her apprentice, she was too late. By the time she reached Arden family mansion her apprentice's meridians were already destroyed by her own father. She was only in time to save Lily's husband from execution. In the fit of rage that day she ended up killing 3 out of 5 grand elders of Arden family, which initiated the downfall of their family. After that she spent next 10 years in royal prison.

And now she couldn't save the child of her second apprentice, these were the biggest regrets in her life.

"I am sorry little boy" said headmistress with tears in her eyes. Hearing that examiner's eyes widened in shock, he worked here for countless years and never once heard headmistress apologising to anyone.

After Mia calmed down a little, she realised the horrible things she said

"Master I-I"

"Its fine Mia, you didn't say anything wrong, lets focus on your daughter's health first"

Of course with the little INT that Andy had, he had no idea what they were talking about.

Mia then nodded apologetically to her master and turned to face Andy

"Sorry I forgot to ask, what is your full name?"

"My full name is Andrew, her highness"

"So you are not a noble then? In that case I can ask my husband to grant you a noble name... Or anything that you want is yours... but please help my daughter *sob* *sob*"

"Ah her majesty please forgive me if I offended you, but I didn't say that I can't perform second method so I could get benefits. There are 2 reasons for that.

First is I don't live in capital city and will go back to my hometown tomorrow and this second method requires me to treat your daughter at least once per week until she learns how to control her ice energy. And that will take around 3-4 years I think.

Second and most important reason is that it involve stimulating your daughter ice energy using my sun energy and extract it out of her body. My estimate is it will take around a week for her ice energy to build up again, so the process needs to be repeated every week."

Mia then nodded and said

"I understand the first reason, I will arrange a luxurious mansion for you and your family within royal family grounds and all your family needs will be taken care of not just for the duration of treatment but for your entire lifetime. If for whatever reason you don't want to stay within royal family grounds, we can arrange for another mansion close to it... But I don't understand your second reason, why is that an issue?"

Andy slightly blushed and said

"H-Her majesty you see this process will involve touching the 3rd princess inappropriately... and in future once she gets stronger her ice energy will as well and I might need to go all the way with 3rd princess to keep her ice energy in check, and if I do something like that my head will roll, I am merely a commoner"

"Ah! so thats what you meant..."

It didn't even take Mia one minute to think when she said

"My daughter's life is probably already over if you don't help her. My master said Melty only had 1 or 2 more years to live if she doesn't get a cure. So yes, I agree to this, after all her life is much more important than her chastity..."

Then Mia glared into Andy's eyes and Andy felt goosebumps in his entire body, then she said with a serious expression

"You better take responsibility for my daughter and stay with her forever"

Andy gulped and said

"Ah this... what- what do you mean?"

"What else could I mean? You will marry my daughter, or do you think my daughter is not beautiful enough? I will arrange a marriage for 2 of you within a month and also a mansion for you and your family to live in".

"Ah! but- but her majesty-"

"Call me mother-in-law from now on!"

"M-Mother-in-law but I have other women as well!" said Andy, he was thinking of taking Mia's advantage not the other way around, what kind of negotiation was this?

When Mia heard him calling him mother-in-law, her serious expression went away and she showed a beautiful bewitching smile to Andy and said

"My dear son-in-law, which great man doesn't have multiple wives? My husband has 4 wives and 19 concubines"

"But- But..."

"Hush now, no more excuses. Now lets begin the first session of Melty's treatment, and don't even dare hurt her, I will be closely watching~"

Andy finally gave up and sighed in defeat. He finally met his match! He never met such a dominating woman before.

Both headmistress and examiner were watching this whole scene play out with open mouths.
