7 Theres A GoD?
It didn't take long for the news that the Garthea Kingdom had finally been sponsored by a god again to start spreading.
Most people didn't believe it until they saw a blessed ones marking, they could also tell there was a slight difference between those who were blessed and those who weren't especially in their appearance.
Because of this many people couldn't hold in their jealousy and started trying to fight with those who were blessed.
Unfortunately even five normal couldn't beat up a follower of Genos because of their increase of strength even tho it's just a minor blessing.
That made people even more jealous, and when they found that over 30 soldiers had breakthroughs and became Level-One knights, it sent some people over the top with jealousy.
Then tension in the city was rising and everyone could feel it, all those who were blessed started traveling in packs of two or three.
Of course, there were some people who were still level-headed and could see the opportunity of what will soon happen to the kingdom.
They could already imagine that those who were blessed would be given better positions and government assistance.
All this happened just one day after the coronation, and the news was still spreading to those who live on the borders.
"Welcome back Lord, Mrs. Charles is currently in the garden with Master Teom, and Mrs. Sarah has come back from her studies," The head maid said with her head bowed.
"Good also start preparing a bath for me," William said while heading to the living room.
Even though he was a noble, because of the poor conditions in the kingdom even the nobles were borderline poor.
As he was heading to the living room, William couldn't help but think of the new King.
While the king looked young there was definitely something special about him, especially since he managed to attract a God with four titles.
"Welcome back father, how was your visit to the capital," A new voice said dripping with laziness.
Turning around William saw his only son, Teom Charles the heir to the Charles family.
"Well it was more than I expected, I'll share the news at dinner so the whole family can hear," Williams said chuckling a little.
He only had this one son so he had always spoiled him a little, he also had a daughter but she went to the neighboring kingdom saying that their kingdoms definitely weren't the best in terms of education.
Hearing this Teom couldn't help but be surprised, it looked like something unexpected happened in the capital.
After talking to his son a bit William finally went to take a bath, and when he was done and went down for dinner he saw his whole family waiting for him.
Looking at this he couldn't help but feel content, this was what he was always fighting for his family.
"Welcome back husband, I heard from Teom your trip was more than excepted," Mrs. Charles said standing up and walking to him.
"It truly was, once I tell you all the what happened you'll be surprised," Williams said kissing his wife on the cheek and going to his seat at the head of the table.
"Hello Sahra I didn't think you'd be coming back so soon, how was were your studies in Choldis," William said welcoming his daughter.
Choldis was one of the neighboring countries of Garthea.
"Well father I'm done with that place, I probably wont be going back again. Teachings aren't even that much better than ours since they have a war God, they focus more on fighting than learning," Sahra said a little upset about the time she wasted at that school just to find out that she wasn't learning that much.
"It's good you came back, Something recently happened and I need all of you to be here, in two days well all be going to the capital for the selection of the new pope of Genos," Willaims said taking a drink.
"Whos Genos?" Teom asked.
They all looked at William confused.
"Genos God of Magic, War, Treasure, and Beauty the new sponsor of the Garthea kingdom," Willaims said laughing at their surprised expressions, he also had the same expression once he heard all the titles.
"F-F-FOUR TITLES?!" Sarha couldn't help but scream out.
It was common knowledge that most Gods only had one or two titles, but four was something she's never heard of.
Teom was the same he was so surprised that he could barely think.
Mrs.Charlses was also just as surprised.
"H-H-How? Just How?" Teom said with a bewildered expression.
"Well even I dont know, somehow the king had gotten a god to sponsor us, and luckily for all of you I was able to become a follower," Willaim said takiking of his gloves and showing his family the new mark on his hand.
"THAT'S SO COOL, WHAT DOES IT DO??" Teom said looking at the cool Mark on his Fathers hand.
It was a mark of a Gaint word and a staff making an X and a treasure Box right in the middle.
"Well so far I can tell there's a minor blessing that's applied to all those that became followers of Genos, so far I can only determine two of them which are an increase of strength and appearance," William said looking at the mark.
"How can one become a follower?" Mrs Charles said speaking for the first time.
Hearing this both Sarha and Teom looked at their father in anticipation.
Seeing their eyes filled with hope, William turned his head to the side.
"Well, Unfortunately, the King said that until the new pope is chosen people can not become followers, so you would all have to wait for two days," William said awkwardly.
The reason the whole family didn't go was that he thought it would be troublesome so he said that only he would go, unexpectedly all but him missed out on the chance.
"It's okay honey, we'll just wait for a bit," Mrs. Charles said sending a small smile to her husband.
"Yea it's okay dad we'll wait,"
"It's just a few days anyway,"
While this family was sharing the news peacefully it was very different for others.
" YOU DAM USELESS HUSBAND," Said a furious voice.
"Now calm down honey, there'll be a ceremony in two days. We should be able to become followers of Genos," Kyle said.
He was also there on that day in the crowd watching the king saying he pledge but he didn't think that it was real and he actually missed out on his big chance.
A couple of his friends were lucky enough to become followers and their whole life had definitely changed, he sometimes could barely recognize them anymore.
"You better, you have no idea how much that bitch Millie brags every day about how her husband became blessed," Kyles wife complained
Kyle couldn't help but let out a bitter smile.
