3 03. "We shall meet again."

When the car finally pulled up in front of the hospital, Sophia relayed her thanks to the man and the driver but as she tried to open the door she was stuck. It wasn't the door that was actually stuck but because she had no strength in her arms or legs.
Sophia: "..."
The man: "..."
Putting in more strength despite the numbness in her arms, Sophia finally managed to open the door.
She lifted her legs with great effort and was ready to step out but the second her weight balanced on her legs she fell down on her knees!
'Ah, f*ck!'
The driver and the man both had their eyes wide in surprise. It was at this moment the man realized why the lady who wasn't hit by their insisted on going to the hospital.
She was feeling weak!
As to why he still had no idea.
Her face was flushed and her skin was glistening in sweat and goosebumps from the low temperature the entire ride but she didn't look uncomfortable. She looked very calm and normal like she was on a regular car ride.
The driver was about to open the door to help the young lady but his boss had already opened the door on his right and went around the car to Sophia's side while he was struck dumb in his seat.
"Need help?" Aiden looked down at Sophia due to his tall built and lent her his hand.
Sophia was embarrassed but she needed to get the d*mn aphrodisiac out of her system and for that she needed to enter the hospital so she meekly nodded her head.
Getting her permission, Aiden squatted down and helped Sophia get back up.
However, no matter how much strength she used she couldn't stand on her legs!!
Aiden also realized this so he looked at Sophia and asked her if he could hold her and with an extra flushed face she nodded her head once again.
With that Aiden excused himself as he put one hand underneath Sophia's knees and the other on her back, carrying her into the hospital bridal style.
When they entered the hospital he ordered a nurse to get a room ready for Sophia.
The nurse already knew who this handsome man was hence she didn't delay them any further despite her shock and led them towards a VIP room on the fourth floor.
Aiden lay Sophia on the bed and right at this moment a group of men, all wearing white lab coats rushed into the room.
"Mr. Lee, how may we help you?" The man leading the group who was also the director of Niya City Hospital walked forward from the crowd of doctors and respectfully spoke to Aiden Lee.
"Check on her." His words were cold but the authority and dominance in his voice was one that could make even a stranger listen to his commands.
Nodding their head profusely the doctors headed towards the side where Sophia lay on the bed.
Sophia saw the full encounter between Aiden, the man who helped her into the hospital, and the several well-respected hospital leaders and doctors. She was a bit surprised that he was a very important figure but she had already expected this.
The car they rode on was after all a low-key customized sedan with no brand and even a customized plate. He was rich but as to how influential or rich he was Sophia still had no idea.
"How can we help you miss?" Director Park, the leader of the group inquired about Sophia's condition with a respectful tone though the respect didn't come from the heart, and nor was it meant for her.
Sophia didn't care about the respect that he wanted to show towards Aiden via her, she just cared about being free from this torture! Through gritted teeth and a slightly scowling face, Sophia spoke up. "Get the aphrodisiac out of my system."
Her request was pretty simple but it made all the men in the room widen their eyes in surprise.
Yes, her face was flushed and her skin looked wet from sweat but in no way did she look like she was given an aphrodisiac!
She was way too calm for there to be an aphrodisiac!
What happened to all the little twitches and writhing that girls do when drugged?
For her to need the aphrodisiac out of her system, didn't she need to show that she was drugged in the first place?!
How were the doctors to believe that she had an aphrodisiac in her body?!
Aiden was taken aback for a bit but he believed her words. 'This girl was given aphrodisiac but she was calm as ever next to the presence of this almighty handsome bachelor Aiden Lee?!'

Thinking back, what surprised him, even more, was that this girl was able to stay so calm and sit still for the past 20 minutes or so on their way to the hospital!
While his thoughts were running about after getting his long-awaited answer for why she needed to go to the hospital, Aiden's face was still motionless as an ice sculpture unlike the little fluctuations of emotions that could be seen from his dark blue eyes.
"Hurry up!" Sophia raised her voice a bit which woke up the doctors from their reverie as they moved about examining her body for the aphrodisiac.
This went on for about 20 minutes before the aphrodisiac was out of her body and she was put on an IV drip to help her body recover.
Aiden watched as Sophia had her eyes closed just relaxing on the bed. When the director came over he walked out of the room so that their conversation wouldn't disturb Sophia.
"Tell me." His words were straight-to-the-point and as cold as ever. The Director was very nervous at this moment. He didn't know how to explain to Aiden what he had just witnessed!
With a slightly shaking body and hands, Director Park started his explanation. "Mr- Mr. Lee we found the n-newly discovered aphrodisiac i-in Miss G-Grey's b-body."
Aiden didn't say anything. He heard about the new aphrodisiac that was introduced to the black market not so long ago.
It was a very strong aphrodisiac that controlled the body and mind as the receiver begged for s*x. So far the research on this new aphrodisiac shows that anyone who had come under the control of this specific aphrodisiac acted crazy for sex the minute the drug took effect!
Even more shocking than this was the fact that no one has been able to stay unaffected by this drug for more than 5 minutes. Though not much information had been found on this drug because of its recent release, it was quite shocking to know that she seemed unaffected by it.
The least effect of the drug would be that the victim crave some form of intimate touch and all the results show that every single victim has succumbed to their carnal desires once this drug took effect! But this girl... sh-she w-wasn't affected?!
"We s-still d-don't know h-how she was able to c-control her body a-actions but the r-results show that her entire body was under the full effects of the aphrodisiac for the past half an hour at the least." When Director Park was done with his report he saw Aiden waving his hands which was his cue to leave.
The director left in a rush after getting permission.
Aiden re-entered the room after a while of standing in the same spot. He was still wondering how a girl barely eighteen was able to control their body and actions under the influence of a newly found aphrodisiac that was meant to control them.
When he came inside the room he saw Sophia, the girl who was supposed to be resting was wide awake. She seemed to be in a daze with slightly red eyes that were indifferently watching the news on the TV.
The news anchor was reporting the fire in an abandoned building near the borders of Angel City and Miko City.
Apparently, the eldest daughter of the rich Harper family of Miko City was caught in a fire that took her life. Her body was a bundle of charred skin and bones. Her burned body didn't even look like that of a person!
Since it took quite a few weeks to analyze the DNA and name the body, the news to the public was delayed.
It had already been 2 months after the fire and since an influential rich family was involved the news was also broadcasted in Niya City which was quite far from Miko City.
A picture of Sophia Harper when she was still alive alongside a picture of her burned body was shown side by side.
After a few moments, a short video of the Harper family played on the screen. They were having a funeral and shedding rivers worth of tears in front of the cameras.
When the family was interviewed they said with a guilty-filled expression that she left the house after giving her blessings to her sister and ex-fiancé because she didn't want to get in the way of her sister's relationship.
The family burst into tears when they mentioned how they got a suicide letter a month after the fire. In the letter, she wrote how she couldn't get over her love for her ex-fiance. She wrote of how she tried forgetting him but couldn't so she decided to end her love for him with her.
The police confirmed that Sophia had been using drugs for 4 years and that the fire was a suicide attempt.
Sophia who was now Luna Grey looked at the tv screen.
A sinister smirk played in her unusually pale lips.
"Well played but... I'm back." Her voice was just loud enough for her to hear while Aiden just managed to see her move her lips when he turned.
"You okay?" Aiden walked towards Luna on the bed. He thought she needed something.
Luna was caught off guard by the sudden voice but she quickly collected herself and put on a slight smile.
"Yea. Thanks."
"Grey?" Aiden was outside when she told the doctor her name but he knew from Director Park that her last name was 'Grey.'
Others might not know what he was talking about but Luna wasn't included in that group.
As a person who talked just like Aiden her whole life towards anyone that was not her family or lover, she understood him.
Luna nodded her head in a slight rhythm. "Yea, Luna Grey."
"Aiden Lee." Aiden also gave his name. He enjoyed this girl's company.
In the 25 years of his life before meeting her, he never met someone as interesting as her.
Nor as understanding.
Usually, when he talked to people he would always bring with him his driver/ personal secretary that explained his words but this girl in front of him didn't need it.
She seemed like a person of few words. Something very rare to come by in his everyday life since everyone is either afraid of him and or they go on and on about nonsense!
"Everything is taken care of. You can rest and leave tomorrow." Aiden spoke directly and when he was done he gave a slight nod to Luna before turning towards the door.
His words sounded cold and distant but Sophia already knew of how much hospitality he had already shown her.
After all, his driver didn't hit her with the car, nor was she badly hurt from the fall, and yet even after apologizing sincerely, they brought her to the hospital.
They even went as far as to arrange a private room, got her the best doctors in the hospital to look at her, and even pay for her accommodation for the night!
"We shall meet again." Aiden's words were low and more to himself. With a rare smile on his face, Aiden left the hospital.
Perhaps it was the tiny part of him that wanted to meet her again that made him say this or perhaps it was that unique aura around her, Aiden had a feeling that they would meet once again. As to when that would happen...
Only the future knows what in store for them.
