5 Determination

Heart, Lungs, Internal Organs, Meridians, Bones, Muscle, Flesh, Skin, and Dantian, these were the nine respective parts of Li Feng's body which needed to be destroyed and formed once again for him to obtain the qualifications to perform perfect Nirvana and turn into a real immortal who would be near impossible to kill.

And out of all the nine parts to be destroyed and recreated, the heart was one of the hardest parts to be destroyed and recreated since not even naturally born Nirvana Phoenixes would dare harm their own hearts.

Therefore, the heart was one of the hardest thresholds which would never be passed by even real Phoenixes.

But Li Feng by a stroke of pure godly luck managed to recreate his heart and achieved his First Nirvana with it making the rest of his path towards the Ninth Nirvana mostly downhill as long as he had enough determination to go through with it.

Li Feng didn't know how long he had been unconscious for, but when he finally woke up he was caught off guard at how his body felt and looked.

For starters, Li Feng's hair and eyes were now red in colour like his Spirit Root, and his body despite looking the same from the outside felt a few times stronger.

Stretching his hand and flexing his muscles to make sure that he wasn't under the wrong impression, Li Feng found out that the increase in strength was very minimal and not that great.

Rather, it was due to how much energy and vitality he was filled with which made him think he had grown stronger.

But none of this was what shocked Li Feng the most. No, what had Li Feng the most shocked was how his face had transformed.

It wasn't just the matter of his hair and eyes changing colour, it was his entire face and the way he looked that had changed.

Given Li Feng's age, his face was without any doubt immature and still in the process of growing. But anyone who looked towards him could tell that he was bound to grow up handsome. Very very handsome.

Right now though, things were no longer the same.

Even though Li Feng still looked like he was going to grow up and become handsome, it was a completely different kind of handsomeness.

It was no longer the chivalrous yet heroic handsomeness, rather, Li Feng now looked beautiful. Yes, the current Li Feng looked like a sheltered young noble who would make even women jealous due to how beautiful he was.

If there was one thing which let Li Feng relax a little, it was that even now anyone who looked at him could tell that he was a man and not a woman. Well, a boy and not a girl.

Such thoughts however occupied Li Feng's mind for just a while, very soon he remembered what happened earlier in the day and went back to feeling all glum and lifeless.

Sitting back on the bed he woke up on, Li Feng exasperated as he asked, "Why does my mother hate me, Yu Yan?"

Moving closer to Li Feng, the long white-haired woman who showed a cold look to everyone other than two people said, "Mistress doesn't hate you, young master. Everything she does is to keep you safe from the dangers of her world."

"Her world?"

"Yes. Mistress isn't of this world, young master. She came here from a world where even the strongest expert of this world isn't worth a second glance."

"Unfortunately, when she was fighting someone Mistress was injured and fell down in this world with her cultivation sealed by an artifact. That was when Yao Cheng took advantage of her state and forced himself on her."

"Later on, Mistress learnt that she was pregnant with you. Despite knowing that she risked the danger of losing half, and even possibly her entire cultivation, Mistress chose to keep you due to how much she loved you."

"In fact, it was due to how much she loved you that she didn't kill Yao Cheng. Mistress thought that you'd prefer having a father who was present over a mother who would have to leave sooner or later."

"This… Why did she never tell me any of this?"

Unable to deal with the amount of information which was dumped on him all of a sudden, Li Feng ended up losing himself in his own thoughts as Yu Yan shook her head.

"If I become strong enough. I'll no longer be a burden to my mother, will I Yu Yan?"

Raising her head and looking towards Li Feng with a little surprise in her eyes, Yu Yan smiled bitterly as she said, "Speaking the truth, if you grow strong enough Mistress won't shun you like she does right now, young master. However, growing strong enough to achieve that isn't easy at all."

"Just wishing to grow strong enough isn't enough for you to do that, young master. The road to grow that strong after being born in this world is something that I've never heard of anyone managing to achieve."

"It's very likely that if you choose to give up on the chance to live a peaceful life down here and try chasing after Mistress, you will die. Instead, if you choose to stay here, it is almost guaranteed that you can rule the entire world with my support."

"Now that you know all of this, do you still intend to chase after the Mistress, Young Master? Do you have enough determination to get on the path of no return and risk your life in hopes of one day meeting your mother again?"
