End Of The Conflict

Druak was exhausted from the use of his magic and was barely able to move, both due to his mental and physical condition.

Trying as hard as he could Druak formed a simple ice spike in his hand, however it seemed that he would only be able to hold its form for a few more seconds.

"Damn it, I used too much mana." Druak muttered. He had such a small amount of mana left that this was probably the last attack he could use.

Edward didn't give Druak a chance to recover, quickly charging straight at him with a shortsword in hand.

"Die peasant." Edward shouted as he slashed straight for Druak's neck.

Trying to block the attack going for him Druak raised his ice spike to block the attack.

*Smash*

As if made of nothing, the ice broke into dust. The blade now having nothing to stop it continued towards Druak's neck.

Druak closed his eyes, waiting for the blow to strike.

5 seconds

10 seconds

15 seconds

Druak waited and waited but the strike never came.

Opening his eyes Druak finally realises why he was still alive. Some kind of vines had wrapped around the blade just in time for it to not cut his head off.

Looking around to see who did this Druak notches that the girl he had tried to save didn't run away, but instead had a green aura illuminating around her as vines became uprooted all around her.

As Druak stared at the girl, she quickly shouted at him."Run quickly, I can't hold him for much longer."

Realising the situation he was in Druak rushed to his feet, but instead of running he bends his knees down, suddenly charging straight for Edward.

Just when Druak thought he had gotten to Edward an image appeared in the corner of his eye. Edwards summons smashed directly into Druak, leaving a gash in his waste from its voracious teeth.

As Druak tried to get back on his feet he heard yet another shout from the girl."Watch out!"

Looking to see what she was talking about Druak saw the snake once again charging at him, this time however he knew it was coming.

'I can't beat it in the state I'm in. What can I do to buy time for myself.' This was only a passing thought for Druak, as not long after a smile appeared on his face and it seemed as though he had a plan.

Druak stood in place as the snake continued to charge straight for him. Seeing this the girl Druak had saved began to panic and let out a worried yell."What are you doing, are you trying to die."

Druak had heard this, but all he did was look at the girl and smile."Don't worry, I've got a plan." Instantly after he said those words the snake was before him just about to sink its teeth into him. Not giving it a chance to attack Druak leaped to the side and wrapped his arms around its neck. While doing so a small grunt escaped his mouth as the snake caught the gash in his side.

Ignoring the pain as best as possible, Druak squeezes with what strength he has left.

"What are you doing you stupid summon, get me out of these vines." Edward shouted, his face scrunching up in anger as the vines around him slowly tightened.

It seemed as though this speech of Edwards, if you could call it that, actually worked. As when the snake heard those words it seemed to go into a state of panic and waved its body around like a maniac, almost like if it didn't escape, it would die.

It seemed as though the girl heard Edward and used her vines to quickly shut him up, although Druak could tell that she didn't have much left in her.

The snake continuously smashed itself against Druak, causing cuts to form on Druak's body as he was smashed between the snake and the ground.

After struggling for what seemed like forever, the snake started to slow down. Not wanting to waste this chance Druak summoned an ice dagger and quickly slashed it into the snake's neck. After the long struggle, Druak had managed to get enough mana and eventually finished off the snake.

After wrestling with the snake on the floor Druak could now get back on his feet.

As he stood up he said with a conniving smile."Guess it's time to get rid of this piece of sh*t."

Coughing up blood from losing his summon, Edward hadn't yet realised Druak was approaching him. This however didn't last long as when he tilted his head up his face soon turned into that of fear, as he steered at the icy cold eyes of Druak.

Druak didn't pay much attention to this but when he went into the first stage of his class some small things had changed within his body, one of these things being that his eyes had changed to a much icier blue colour and would sometimes glow when he got emotional.

As Druak approached Edward, the vines around him started to disappear.

Edward, taking this opportunity quickly crouched on the floor and began grovelling to Druak."Please I beg you to spare me. I have 4th stage blacksmiths that can craft you anything you want or women that could satisfy you…. Anything you want I can give you, just spare me and let me take that girl."

Druak stared at the girl he had saved, which was now laying on the floor covered in sweat and tears.

Noticing this Edward put a hand behind his back and stood up, saying with a vicious smile."So it's women you want. I can get you any woman you want."

Druak's face turned away from the girl lying on the floor and towards Edwar, his face completely changed from the sullen face he had when looking at the girl.

Not saying a word Druak stabs straight for Edwards neck saying." Disgusting humans like you don't deserve to live."

As the blade hit Edward, Druak felt a strange sensation run down his arm. Quickly realising what this was, Druak tries to react but was a second too slow.

*Bang*

Druak's body goes flying and his body slams into the floor not far from the girl.

His ears ringing Druak gradually lifts himself from the floor and sees Edward grabbing his goons and running off. He also hears Edward say something."You'll pay for this peasant." Druak then Drops back to the floor, closing his eyes.
