2 WHEN IS SHE GOING TO ARRIVE ALREADY?

Selection is finally over. I am glad that Li Na is my second wife. I understand why that bitch Fen is my first wife. It is all about the politics and my mother didn't need the extra drama.

"Do you like your picks?" my mother asked

"Yes and No!" I said

"Why that?" she questioned

"well mother, I didn't want Fen in my harem. I have a feeling she is going to cause trouble. Having Na there might help and I think I love Na." I said.

"well, I need to take my leave and get the palaces in order on who is going where. By the way, put Na in my old palace, please." She stated.

I just nodded and went to my palace to look around. Before I know it, setup will be here. I really don't want to be here, but I want to see Na. I can already hear Fen yelling our wedding day is coming up. I am dreading this. There is no rule stating that I have to spend the night with her, at least.

Every time I hear her, my stomach hurts. It feels like I am going to throw up every time. At least I don't have to deal with her today. She has lots to learn still. I only hope that she will do as she needs to do with no drama.

I am heading to the polo ground. I have a match today, so I will not think about the other person in my palace but the one that is getting ready to come to my palace. as I am walking down the pathway to the stables, I am now noticing the way this place must feel to Na. it is pretty scary looking the tall tan walls with a red or white top to it all.

I am worried about her. At least I have someone watching over her making sure she will be ok. I am glad the head trainer is on my side. She was once my nanny, so of course she will make sure the woman I love is taken care of.

"Shuming, tell me more about her." I asked.

"She loves to read, always wants to learn new things. Not one for drama, she will try to get along with everyone. Very naïve about life. Knowing her like I do, I know she is worried about you and her relationship. She will comply with every demand they trained her that way. But she has an adventurous spirt she wants to try everything." He finished up

"Don't worry, I will take it real slow with her. I don't want her to feel frightened here." In a reassuring voice.

Didn't even realize we were already at the stables. I mounted my horse, ready to play polo with my brothers. This is really the only down time we get from the court affairs and my older brothers get from their wives. I always wondered why I was stuck with the crown prince label, and they are not.

We get onto the polo field the game is going to start, I totally black out this is the only way we all clear our heads is just hitting a small ball back and forth on the field it may be a boring sport to some but for me and my brothers it is our little get away from stress. We can hit the ball as hard as we can to get it to score.

We finally finished up our game and settled down into the pagoda and had tea and talked. We are overlooking the pond in our dad's private garden. It is full of trees and flowers lining the path to the pond of koi fish. We enjoy are peaceful visits. It is fragrant smells of the fresh flowers going up the hill.

We can hear the waterfall going into the pond in the distance. Sometime we just sit here and listen to it. seeing today was selection day. I am sure my brothers want to be nosy about who mom and dad picked for me.

My youngest brother was the first to ask, "Do you like who they picked for you?"

"yes and no. one of the biggest bitches I can imagine is in the harem as my first wife, but the second wife I think I feel in love at first sight. The other consorts seem really nice and they want a peaceful harem." I said.

"You think it is love at first sight?" the second oldest chimed in

They all chimed in and made fun of me. We laughed and drank till the evening light. Then my brothers had to return to their palaces, some to their wives and concubines. I was going to ask how do they manage the visits? We ran out of time. I am sure a few of them are going to get yelled at for being so late.

It is time for me to return to my solitude are and enjoy the last few days of peace. I entered my room. It was nicely lit by them. Candles. As I arrived in my room, I noticed a shadow in my room laying on my bed.

It was my maid, the one my dad recommended to me to bring me into adulthood. The one that taught me what I needed to know for when I got married. Or to say, when I started getting that itch that boys get from time to time. I just say my sexual partner until I got married. That is her job in the palace.

I told her I will get married in a couple of days, but I am staying here until my second wife enters the palace and I really don't need her anymore. As she stood up, barely wearing any clothes usually that gets my dragon to stand up and take notice, but tonight is different doesn't even move.

"I really don't feel like it tonight. In a few days I won't be needing your service anymore because of my harem will enter the palace." I informed her.

She looked so mad as she wrapped herself up to leave and stormed off. I wonder what that was all about because she knew today was going on. I laid down on my bed. All I can think of is Na. what is she doing right now? I hope she is sleeping soundly.

As I was sleeping, my dreams took control over me. It felt so real, like I was there. I can see Na in her room. The surroundings are. Blurry, all I can see is her and the bed. I can smell the scent of jasmine in the air. As she is taking out her pins in her hair, it falls so slowly down her back. My heart is racing. From behind, I walked up to her. I put one hand around her waist and the other running to the back of her head, gripping her hair.

As the dream continues, as I was pulling her closer to me, I can smell her scent of roses on her skin. She smells so nice; my dragon is getting larger in the sight and smell of her. I can't control it anymore. It feels like I have an animal instinct towards her. I just want to take control of her body. I can't fight it anymore just as I was going to undress her.

I can hear banging on my door. Well, it's out of a dream into reality it was Shuming banging at the door like there was an assassin in the courtyard. Why did he have to come in like that, especially during that dream? I threw on my clothes as fast as I could. I hope nothing happened to Na. I quickly open the door.

"What the hell is going on? Is Na all right?" as I yelled at him.

"Na is fine. There is commotion going on at the crown princess's." he replied.

As we head on over to Fens' palace, we can hear the commotion going on. Her voice is like a cat being tortured. The worst sound in the world. I wonder what pissed her off this time. I notice she is very unhappy that she isn't at my dad's harem.

We ran as fast as we could to get over there because we didn't want to see someone getting hurt by her tantrum. No telling what this woman may do to someone. I just kept thinking to myself, this is only the first day.

We arrived at the gate, we can see her throwing things at the maids and eunuchs. One of them comes running out.

"what is going on here?" I asked

He quickly kneeled on the ground. "she didn't like the color of her dress for the wedding. So she ripped it up. And threw things." The eunuch replied.

"Shuming, get all the staff out of here and leave her alone for the night. I will not entertain her tantrum." I said.

"Yes, your highness." He replied.

Shuming went and got all the staff out for their safety and just left the lady-in-waiting for her.

Suddenly she comes out screaming, "why did you do that?"

"your highness, the crown prince ordered it. He wants to see the staff safe." Shuming, replied

She ended up trying to strike him, but he dodged it. I stepped between the two and gave her a look of disappointment and me and Shuming left her screaming at us as we walked away.

"She is truly a nightmare." I said to Shuming.

"You definitely have your hands full with that one." He replied, laughing.

I finally got back to my palace and can only hope that the rest of the month will fly by until Na can join me. Well, two days have passed. At least court matters are keeping me busy and away from that witch is the day after tomorrow, seeing as it is my wedding day for her.

At least I don't have to spend the night there. We just have to do the ceremony. I just have to remind myself of that.

Suddenly, I hear my mom "are you ok?"

"when did you get here?" I asked

"I just arrived; I am worried about you. I have heard of what Fen has been doing lately, so I came to see for myself." She replied.

"mom, do I really have to marry her?" I asked.

"yes, unfortunately you do. Your father thinks she will be a good fit for the family." She replied.

"fine, but do I have to consummate the " I asked

"no you do not have to." She replied.

"Thank you. I really can't stand her." I said.

"well, do you remember what today is?" she asked

"No, what day is it today?" having a confused look across my face

"Well, Na and the other consorts are setting up their palaces." She reminded me.

I was so excited Na is close by. I really want to see her but I know I still have to keep my distance from her seeing we are not married yet but I am so excited about this.

"Shing, you also will have a wedding ceremony with Na as well." She informed

"I am really, I get to." Being so excited that I couldn't contain myself.

My heart is jumping out of my chest it feels like. I am having a hard time controlling myself. My mom is laughing at me because I am acting like a little kid with a new toy.

"I need to take my leave and go observe now." She said

As she walked away, I had to find a way to control myself. I don't want to scare Na at the same time, but I have to at least see her.

"Shuming, do you know where Na is at?" being excited

"Calm down, your highness you might scare her. Yes, I do right now. She is at the crown princess." He replied.

We headed over there. I noticed my mom watching as well. As we are observing how things are going. I noticed she was doing great as the second wife. I can hear Fen talking to her

"The wedding to the crown prince is the day after tomorrow." As Fen looked at Na like she was trying to upset Na,

"Is there anything you need for the big day? " Na asked

"No!" Fen yelled at her

"Mei Mei, what is going on?" Na asked

Fen was rude no matter how caring Na was. I couldn't take it anymore, so I just walked away because I can't come to her rescue just yet. I saw the empress was behind me as well. She really didn't seem too happy about this.

"I am going to make sure Na is good tomorrow. You need to prep for your wedding." The empress informed me.
