Standing in a field full of corpses with two long daggers gripped tightly in her hands Okami stood looking over the crimson stained grass

Tears rolled down her face as depression set in replacing her previous rage filled state, unable to hold back her thoughts Okami slowly brought her dagger to her neck ready to slice it open

However something strange happened that stopped her in her tracks, cracks in the space infront of her slowly formed before shattering open to reveal a black abyss with swirling grey fog covering anything substantial from view

Slowly her Dagger fell to her side once more as she stared into the swirling mist it felt as if it was calling her pulling her in, so she gave in to this calling rather easily as she had no concern for her own life or safety

Walking into the dark vortex Okami closed her eyes as a bright light suddenly flooded her vision

Once her eyes opened again she found herself standing in the middle of a village surrounded by very cheaply armored humans with each of them brandishing a different weapon that included great-hammers, short swords, pitchforks and etc.

Seeing the people around her caused Okami's rage to force it's way to the front of her mind once more

Tightening the grip on her two jet black daggers her body lounged forward at before anyone could react and collided with one of the skinnier men sending him tumbling back first onto the ground with her sitting ontop of him with her blade drawn back ready to pierce his skull

At this moment all one could feel from Okami was an overwhelming bloodlust that seemed to chill the air around them, and if you looked above her head one could see a jet black name tag with unreadable letters

All the villagers watching Okami stood there frozen in fear as her blade ruthlessly came down onto the mans head stabbing into the dirt behind his skull

Okami at this moment felt numb and hollow with the singular thought of killing the people infront of her, she didnt care about anything else all she wanted was to be left alone without any distractions

Standing up Okami ripped her blade from the mans face before seemingly vanishing again leaving only the dead body of there comrade and a cloud of dust

Reappearing In front of a man brandishing a silver sword Okami gripped its blade shattering it in her palm before twisting her body to kick the man in the chest sending him flying through the stone wall of one of the village homes

Taking this moment the others quickly surrounded her with there flimsy weapons pointed at her back in a threatening manner

However Okami seemed unperturbed by this as she looked up into the beautiful orange and red sunset off in the distance and for the first time in a while she smiled, and not a fake smile a genuine happy smile that brought tears to her puffy eyes once more, "I couldn't save you again...Lyn please forgive me..I did the best that I could.." The words felt like needles on her tounge as she glanced back at the men who were now charging towards her

Okami's smile quickly faded as she stretched out her arm with in open palm as a could wave of energy shot fourth from her body causing the ground around them to freeze solid slipping a bit on the ice the men tried to continue forward only to be skewed through the body and out the mouth with multiple ice spike jutting out of the ground

Okami took a deep breath to calm herself down as she sat down were she stood and buried her face into her knees as the sun finally fell below the horizon bringing about the shadows of night

[Villager PoV]

"Do you think they killed it?" I asked fear clearly present in my shaky voice and trembling body

"I hope they did the amount of energy coming from that portal was insane though..."

"Well they told us to come back once the sun went down should we go?" Everyone nodded in agreement before I led them back down the hill into our small village. This happened about once a year so we wernt to worried, however this time the mana reading on the other side was just to extreme so we decided to evacuate the entire village to a nearby hill

As we arrived everyone became even more worried as there were no signs of the warriors that we left only the metallic scent of blood was present throughout the poorly paved roads

Just as I was about to order everyone to evacuate once more a terrified shriek caught my attention, racing over there I couldn't believe the scene before my eyes many of the villagers who followed me had looks of shock and disbelief aswell, along with some of them vomiting on sight

Before us stood what I could only describe as pure carnage, curved pillars of Ice arranged in a circular pattern stood erected over a crimson sphere with each pillar being tipped with the bodies of warriors

The sight was horrible however what was most disgusting yet horrifying was the fact that the crimson sphere seemed to be comprised completely from our warriors blood as every so often a few drops of there blood would drip down and fall onto to the top of the shere sending ripples throughout the entire orb

"Everyone we must leave the vi- " As I turned to talk to the others a sharp pain filled my stomach and along with it came the taste of iron, everyone screamed in horror as they tried to escape but only ended up just like me impaled on a pillar of ice while slowly being drained of our blood

No one was spared men, women, children, elderly, what I assumed would be the orb did not care it hung us all out to dry with the majority of us still being alive

The shrieks of children and the crys of man filled the air as we tried to escape but to no avail, everytime one of us would come close to falling off the pillar more Ice spikes would erupt out killing them instantly

there was truly nothing we could do but become the livestock for this strange orb

her entire world was dark with no light as far as the eye could see, however she didn't mind this darkness..this emptiness..no, she actually welcomed it as she didnt want to deal with reality any longer

She hoped and prayed this darkness would never leave her, however her prayers were unanswered as the bright light of the sun suddenly engulfed her face along with the putrid scent of rotting corpses and waste

Okamis dead fish like eyes scanned her surroundings only to find things completely different from how she left them, the village around her was completely overgrown with moss vines grass and trees while the few bodies she had impaled seemed to have increased by the hundreds if not thousands

Completely ignoring the bodies Okami went to move her own but was surprised when instead of her legs moving two gaint strong wings flapped hard against the ground kicking up and blowing away the dust and small bits of rubble around her

Confused by this Okami opened her menu only to be barraged with hundreds of notifications from the system, immediately deleting the useless ones like stored exp or LvlUp notifications Okamu quickly sorted them out leaving her with....

Okami gave up on trying to find the source of these wings and blamed it on her new race, however she didnt know how or why she even received this as the last thing she remembered was falling asleep next to a few dead villagers

What was even more odd was that she seemed completely unaffected by her current situation she wasn't surprised or even happy about her new upgrade

However it seemed her stomach still responded as normal as she was becoming quite hungry so she decided to figure out her new body as quickly as possible so she could find something to eat

After a few minutes Okami had finally gotten used to her new wings and begun walking around the destroyed village, she had found some sweet fruits to snack on but no matter how many she ate she never felt full it was af if her body was craving something else entirely but she had no idea what it was

"You think the rumors are true?"

"Why wouldn't they be? After all no one who has come to this area has come back in one piece"

"Then why the hell are we going through with this?! We can always just void the request I mean I know there nobles but we shouldn't risk our lives for them!"

"Bec- Wait be quite theres somone up ahead.."

Infront Okami were two tall men dressed in silver plate armor who each were brandishing a long sword that was strapped to there waist

"Ma'am are you lost what are you doing out here by yourself?"

Okami tilted her head in confusion as she didnt recognize the language the man spoke

The two men looked at each other and then back at Okami, "Miss this area is highly dangerous, have you been separated from your clan?"

The other one spoke this time gesturing twords her wings while Okami stood there still confused, Parting her lips to speak Okami immediately became frustrated when no sound escaped them

Her stomach rumbled once more only increasing her annoyance as she stared down the two men with the strange desire to consume there blood filling her mind, So of course Okami gave in to this desire as she raised her arm up slowly causing the men to stop in there tracks and immediately put there guards up

"What the hell!" Before they could act eight small jets of water erupted from the ground binding there hands and legs before freezing solid

The two men thrashed against there new Bindings as Okami floated forward using her wings and landed infront of them

"What are you doing you avian freak?!" The first man from before screamed into her face much to her discomfort

Seeing her wince backwards from loud voice the man went to yell again but this time was met by a freezing cold hand that covered his lips. The man squirmed in fear trying to break free but was unsuccessful

Okami grinned as she dipped her head down while opening her jaws wide

"Wait stop!" A panicked voice called out as a cold pale hand fell on Okamis shoulder, at this moment she was extremely annoyed as all she wanted to do was sate this unending hungry in her stomach

"You want blood right? I'll give you as much as you want if you let that man go" Despite not knowing what her words meant Okami could still infer what she meant

With a heavy sigh Okami backed off as she turned to face the girl

"Thank you I am Lilith Nazareth, and these are my guards that I have hired"
