19 tournament pt2

even after people cheered they wonder how I was able to do it. I'm just really fast I said to everyone. walking off the stage the 2nd and 3rd fight was about ti began. they both were mages from how it looks, standing 30m apart launching spells at each other. fireboltd and water jets going back and forth, their was no excitement I find. the match lasted for a half and hour before number 3 won with a lucky shot.

"winner number 3, 4 vs 5 take the stage" looking excited for the matches the lei family elder smiles

its qui turn I look at her as she nervously lands up walking to the arena. I then look to see who she is facing. it's a muscle brain guy. I never met him but just by looking at him I can tell. looking over I see lei long starting at qui, well i guess the cats out of the bag, thinking to myself I watch the fight.

qui pov

walking up to the stage I see a over muscular guy, I need to win thinking to myself.

"start"

I jump back to make more distance between us. he just stayed in the same spot. looking sthik him closely he was at 4th rank of knight, 3 ranks higher then mine.

"hey, girl I'll give you two shots before I attack to make it far for you" he says with arrogance.

I'm doom to lose, I'm not talented to fight 3 ranks higher. walking to the edge of the ring I formulate a plan. if I use water on the right parts I can maybe get him to slip... it's a really long shot. I begin chatting for a water ball. half a second later a 30cm ball of water appears, I keep pouring mana to it so it increases volume. 5 mins to by and its 5m big, compress, forcing it to get smaller I get it to the size of 2m. taking aim I fire it at him.

too slow" he pulls out an ax and cuts it in half" but as soon as its split it explodes. sliding back words a few meters soaked with water looking extremely pissed. he gives a death stare to qui"you s@@t I'll kill you" ignoring his previous promise he charges forward as qui quickly prepares another spell. aqua jet. shooting a stream of water at him, he quickly excites a footwork and dogeges its. the distance closes really fast and 2m from her, without much room to cast a small she summons a water ball and aims for the ground before taking a fast side step. she timed it enough for when left leg was about to step down the water from the water ball had just enough water so the foot wouldn't get enough traction at the speed it was going. to slip. causing his body to propel forward and off the stage.

the crowd was in shock, the judge were shocked, her friends were shocked. silence rang throughout the Coliseum before someone started clapping and cheering her for doing a good unorthodox way to win. standing proudly that she made it to the 2nd round she knew it's the furthest she will get to go but she made it to the top 8. a person appeared behind her" you bitch I'll kill you" get reading to swing his axe to cut her in half along the waist an elder appeared and grabbed the axe, stopping it in mid motion before tossing him aside like a sand bag.

"winner number 5" he said before a rain of clapping sounded thought the Coliseum.

Nyx pov

watching qui won, I couldn't help but feel pity for the muscle head, if he wasn't quick to anger it never would have happened. their are no pills for regret. qui comes down the stage and walks over to me. "I did it nyx I made it to to top 8" with a bright smile she says.

"hehehe you did, brains over bronzes, but you should surrender as fast as possible for your next match" I said giving the carrot and stick treatment.

looking do the downcast qui "when your stronger you can win in a fight but for now congrats" I said smiling behind my mask.

feeling that a few peoples eyes are staring at me, I look to see lei long eyes right at me as if he is studying me. glaring back at him, he moves hes glance and focuses on something else.

not paying anymore mind the next 2 people go up. when I looked st rhe one in the black coat. I get a bad vibe from him. "start' lei family elder said and not a moment later the guy in the black coat takes a step sending earth upwards and entrap his opponent. he then mumbles something as he takes a giant step causing the ground to crumble. cementing his opponents legs into the earth. he quickly moved like a shadow gliding on the stage and his hand is covered by rocks, he made rock brace knuckles and.starts to pound on his stick opponent creating a brutal scene for all.

his opponent faints with noise broken and missing some teeth. it was a one side victory. everyone was staring intensely at him wondering who he was or where he came from. winner number 6. the lei elder said. he then pick up number 7 and told someone to bring him to the medical ward.

taking a moment to fix the stage he then calls for number 8 and 9 to take the stage. its time for luk turn I watch eagerly.

luk pov

walking on to the arena and reaching my spot I look towards the crowd and see nyx and qui looking towards me on the stage, I got do my best and make it into the top 8. I want to show them how powerful I am. I look at my opponent who was wearing all white robe. he looked very peaceful with blonde air and blue eyes. "your going down" shouting at him.

"start" the elder said.

I pull out my great sword and charge at him releasing my qi of a rank 3 knight. running towards him I do a horizontal slash aiming for his left side. he jumps over it at the last momentand sends a kick to my face. to late to block I go for a headbutt against his foot. bang hitting his foot felt like hitting a metal plate.

falling back i charge st him again this time I release flames on my sword by channeling my little flame magic into it. Im a rank 7 novice mage. I don't have enough mana to cast spells that would cause major damage but I have enough mana to channel it into the sword. going towards him again I do a diagonal slash keeping my focus on his movements, but to my supersize he realised a blinding light causing me to lose my visison. with everything black I start swinging randomly.

boom something hit my stomach crouching over I felt another hit to my chin. everything went black.

nyx pov

watching the fight, I see that their is more to the eye with number 10. his moves are flexable and he haven't drawn his weapon yet. once he released the blinding light his rank shown to be a rank 3 mage but a rank 7 knight. fearsome with light affinity. surprising not only me but everyone. in two hits he knocked luk out.

my blood started boiling hoping to fight him. forgetting about luk was soon taken to the medical ward. the tournament continued.

11vs12 both were only knights rank 7. it ended with 12 win by a hair, the 13vs 14 match was a mage vs warrior and ended with the warriors win by a landslide. finally it was the last match of the day Zhang vs lei long who looked back in our direction.

walking back from the medical ward was luk his face was downcast and depressed for losing. qui tried to comfort him as I was watching the last match of the day.

Zhang pov

I'm facing Lei long. freaking out on the inside because I have a feeling he is way stronger then me. trying to feel confident I walk up on the arena and see him standing their already giving me eyes fu of pity.

"why don't you just give up? you wont win" long said

feeling that I should I look over to nyx, qui and luk who give me determination. to fight and try my best."I wont I'll win" I said back to him.

"start" the elder said.

I charge at him with my sword. when I'm 10m away I summon my wind mana to give me a boost in speed, going even faster I get right in front of him"die" shoving my sword towards his stomach. the sword pierces through without resistance. their was no blood. only when the sword was half way though I realized it was an after image of him. trying to cancel my attack I felt pain coming from my side. looking I see a dagger stabbed into it.

how? backing up I see him standing 2m away with what look like to he purple lightning sparking around him. " your a variant" uttering those words I back up with a hand holding the wound. given him an unyielding look I charge gale of wind. using all my mana I make a gale to blow me forward to end it with one strike.

long looks at me and shakes his head, pity. lightning escape disappearing he reappears to close to me and thunder punch. punches my stomach smashing me upwards with lightning. everything goes black.

nyx pov

watching the fight go on I see that Zhang is a rank 2 mage and rank 5 knight. long is a rank 6 mage and rank 9 knight. peeks of being in a clan. I look at qui and say" what's a variant?"

looking at me baffled" its basically a stronger then a normal element. like fire is red/orange but a variant is not red/orange. from strongest to weakest red/orange, yellow, blue, white.. those are the known variant. but that's only for fire, each of the elements have a variant for lightning it goes yellow, red, purple, blue, black, golden. the only element that doesn't have it are, light, dark, death, life, space, time, and chaos. because in a sense they are in its purest form."

oh wait so that means Lei long has the 3rd variant of lightning so he is extremely powerful? I said to qui

"right, i guess he was hiding it becusde their were no news about it. the possibility of being born isth a variant is 1 in 100million and its ten times the further the variant goes."

shocked at how strong Lei long. I say him turn his head and.smiles in our direction.

I declare the first round over. tomorrow will be the 2nd round. the elder says.
