Chapter 13 - Answers for the First War

"2!...."

"1!"

"Jun!!" Tidus screamed out as he throws knives at Piller.

Piller quickly dodges but falls to the ground.

The rest began separating and killing all the Kalkruts "Jun! Run!" Eungi cried out.

"We'll distract them!" Mikey yelled.

Jun can't believe that they're doing this right now.

"Jun" Tidus walks to Jun then he slaps Jun in the face.

Jun felt his cheeks, red.

"Don't give up like that" He grabs onto Jun's shoulders "You can't just die like that!... if you did!... it means Collin died for nothing and I can't have that" Tidus explained as he's angry at Jun for giving up everything.

Jun held his face "I-" Tidus interrupted "Save it for later... run! Now!" Tidus charges at Piller and the rest.

Jun looks at them all fighting and getting badly wounded.

"Why?" He said to himself "Why for me? Why am I so weak? Why does everyone keep caring for me? Why? Why??"

Jun didn't understand anything and just wanted the war to end.

"No!! Melanie!" Kayla screamed as Keneth grabs Melanie by the arms and stabs her chest. Melanie gasps.

"Melanie!" They screamed.

She falls to the floor as blood spews out from the wound. Jun looks in horror and his eyes widened.

"No" Jun said "Nooooo!!!" Jun shouted louder as he swings his sword around for a bit and uses his sweeping spellbind to knock off Keneth.

Keneth falls to the ground in pain.

Jun cutted his left arm off.

"Aah!!! Aah!!!! Aaaahh!!!" Keneth screamed very loudly in pain as his arms fall to the ground.

Jun is angry and began charging at Keneth.

Jun stabs Keneth on the chest "Die!" "Die!" "Die!" "Die!!!!"

Everyone looked in horror as Melanie bleeded out.

She then grabs Jun's hands "Stop.. Jun" Melanie says.

Jun looks at Melanie. Her face with blood marks... and her pool of blood.

"Jun... I'm sorry" Melanie says as she began to cry.

Jun face became watery to all the tears.

"Jun.... you're my best friend.. don't cry.... you're not weak... you're strong... you're the strongest and the most bravest person I've ever met" She said.

"Stop talking. You're gonna bleed more-"

She puts her hands on Jun's face "My birthday is in two more days" she smiled "I'm turning... nine... I mark this as my final day in this world... keep living... keep living and don't die... Jun.." She drops her hands onto the ground.

She's dead. Everyone becomes scared, but kept fighting.

Kayla watches as her friend dies "Melanie"

The rest tears up, but they had to keep fighting.

Jun screams to the top of his lungs "Aaaaaaah!!!"

RISE OF IZUZUNU

VOLUME 2, CHAPTER 13, ANSWERS FOR THE FIRST WAR

THE MIDDLE OF THE FOREST

"Hey kid!" A girl accidentally knocks Coen off the trees as he began tumbling to the ground.

"Ouch!" Coen scratches his head "What the hell was that for!" Coen screamed in pain.

"I'm sorry, no need to yell" She said as she holds her hand out for Coen.

Coen grabs her hands and stood up "Who are you?" He asked.

"I'm Roselyn Emauli... and I'm also from Feiburg" She shakes his hands.

"We have to get to Izuzunu before the war starts right?"

"Yes, yes we do" Coen answered.

"Well... the war already started and... many people have already been dying there" She explained.

"What!?" Coen shouted "We have to get there right now then!" Coen starts dashes through the forest again.

"Wait for me!" Roselyn shouts as she began dashing too.

"Hey... what's your name?" She asked as they both are jumping from tree to tree.

"My name's Coen" He replied.

"Coen, huh? What a unique name" She compliments.

"Are you a ninja?" She asks.

"Why do you ask?" He wondered.

"You're dashing through these trees and you're wearing a mask so I thought you might be in that division"

"Oh... well.. yeah I'm a ninja" He answered.

"Wow! I've always wanted to join that division! But I ended up doing Medic instead.. it's a good thing I trained by myself to be a ninja" She said.

"You trained by yourself?" He asked.

"Yes.. I did" She answered.

"Oh" Coen was amazed at how she trained herself.

"Alright, we're almost there" Coen began jumping through the forest faster.

"Dude! Wait for me!"

IZUZUNU, CHINATOWN

"Yah!" Chloe yelled as she wounds the Kalkruts.

The rest fight too as they kick, punch, and swing their swords. Keneth suddenly jumps off the floor and cuts them all.

"You will feel the pain!" Keneth shouts.

"You should be dead!" Eungi yelled out loud.

"Jun didn't aim for the heart" Keneth smiles at them.

Jun looks at Keneth dead in the eyes as he begin jumping towards him. Lord Piller quickly jumps to Jun as they both begin tumbling down a little hill. They're away from the battle.

"Piller! Leave us alone!" Jun swings his sword around but misses.

Piller Kicks Jun in the face. For some reason Piller can feel Jun's pain. Losing a loved one.

"She was like a sister to you, right?" He asked.

Jun looked back at Piller "Why does that matter to you?" Jun charges at Piller as he kicks Jun back to the ground.

"Stop... you're weak" Piller says.

Jun cries.

"I had a daughter... she was the same age as Melanie... she was this sweet little girl" Piller began telling his side of the story.

"Melanie reminds me of my daughter" Piller says.

Jun looked at him still mad.

"My daughter... she was like an angel.. She was the most kind girl ever. She wouldn't like me today if she was still alive, but that's the thing.. I would've never acted like this if she was never dead. I really missed her. She taught me to be a nice father... until the humans killed her"

Jun changed his face expression "What?"

"The humans took her life away from me, that's why... I hate you and your empire! Especially Novishi!!... But... that's the past" Piller takes out his blade "I'm sorry... but this will hurt a lot" A kalrhino runs towards Jun and ate him whole.

Jun falls into the kalrhino's stomach "Goodbye Jun" Piller walks away from the incident.

The kalrhino growls and roars and licks its lips.

"Die!" Keneth laughs as he stabs into George's leg.

"Ah!" George kicks Keneth as he falls to the ground.

"Where's Jun!?" Tidus asked.

"I don't know! I saw Piller and him falling down that hill" Kyle points.

Piller walks up the hill and into Chinatown, but Jun wasn't in sight.

"Where's Jun?" Kyle notices Jun didn't walk up the hill.

Tidus began running towards Piller "You murderer!" He stabs Piller's stomach "Jun was our leader!" Tidus kicks his wounds.

Piller sends shards to Tidus as it slices Tidus's leg off "Aah!! Gah!! You bitch!"

Piller laughs hysterically "Hahahaha! Your empire shall go to hell!"

"All the diamonds... is mine!" Piller yelled.

"Wait what?" They all said.

They stop fighting for a bit.

"You're still after the diamonds?" George laughs.

"What? Yes!" Lord Piller yelled.

George shouts "So you're jealous!"

"You know what!? Fine! I am jealous! Give me your diamonds now!" Piller got furious.

"Haha...no" Eungi slashes the Kalkruts in half.

They all continue fighting and fighting.

Eungi started worrying "Noo.. Jun.... You better not me dead"

OTHER SIDE OF CHINATOWN

Mikey runs through the battlefield, getting chased by three kalkruts.

"Stop following me!" Mikey slices one of their heads off, but the Druzel manages to get Mikey on his hand.

They stab the palm of his hands while Mikey tried to block the knives "Aah!!!"

Mikey falls to the ground as George runs to Mikey "Mikey!!" He yelled.

George tried to attack the kalkruts, but they suddenly got George.

They kick George to the ground next to Mikey and stabs him on his thighs "Aah!" George screamed out loud.

"It hurts, doesn't it? Hahahaha!" The kalkruts laugh as they mess around with George and Mikey by smacking them in the face.

The kalkruts slowly press their blades onto Mikey's other palm of his hands as he yells in pain. Blood dripped from both his hands, he cannot control it as he tried picking up the sword.

George saw Mikey's suffering as he gets up and tried killing the kalkruts. He falls to the grounds due to his legs.

"You're gonna die" The kalkruts say "Haha"

"Mikey" Mikey hears a voice in his head "Remember... protect your brother... and your brother will protect you too"

"Who said that?" Mikey says as he laid on the floor.

"Get up... get up" A male voice says "Get up for your father"

"Dad" Mikey says as he remembers his father and George.

They're back in Mikey's memories "George is... my brother" Mikey got a piece of his memories back.

"Fight!!" His father yelled out as Mikey gets up from the ground and grabs his sword.

"You Kalkruts!!" Mikey stabs one in the head and kicks the other in the head, letting go of George.

Mikey tumbles to the ground and stabs the last kalkrut.

"Aah!" He yelled while killing the kalkrut.

Mikey and George laid on the ground together "You okay... brother?" Mikey said to George.

"Brother?" George was confused.

"I got a tiny part of my memories back" Mikey cries "You're a Khang... aren't you?" George was silence and shocked to hear the truth be told.

Meanwhile Kayla is protecting the Druzels "Alright guys! We need to get out of Izuzunu now!" She yelled as they all start running away from Chinatown.

But it isn't just Chinatown that was on fire, they stopped, everywhere was on fire and in ruins. Jun's house, Modern City, Kayla's House, and other buildings were ruined.

She runs through the town with the Druzels filled with Kalkruts "This isn't good!" She said to herself. An axer appears behind a building grabbing a Druzel.

He puts his axe up to the Druzel's neck "I will kill her! Hahahaha!" He laughed.

"Stop it now you coward!" Kayla shouted back.

"What did you say?" He drops the Druzel and walks closer to Kayla. He swings his sword at her as she dodges and attacks him.

She manages to slice his legs "Gah!" He yelled.

"Get out of my way!" He gets angry and attacks with his axe.

"New plan! Continue without me!" She commanded the Druzels to run out of Izuzunu without her.

They all start running away as Kayla is left with the axer.

"So you wanna fight?" The man asked.

"Let's do this" She pulled out her sword.

"Cling" The swords and axes attack.

Kayla has never fought an actual opponent before. She quickly knocks him onto the ground.

"You're gonna die!" He gets furious and charges at Kayla with his axe "You are!" She fought back.

Then she accidentally decapitate him. His head falls from his neck and onto the ground. His head rolling to her foot. Kayla's disgusted and starts running back to the battlefield "Ew"

"Keneth! Your life ends here!" Tidus yelled as they both were face to face in this battle.

"Hm? Hahaha! I think not" Keneth says.

"I will kill you" Tidus looks him dead in the eyes.

"You? Kill me?" He laughed "Don't make me laugh"

Tidus formed a fist "Yes... I.. Kill.. You!" Tidus shouted, on the floor with his legs completely gone. Keneth then screamed as he attempts to jam his sword into Tidus's chest, but Tidus got him first while blocking the sword with his forearm.

They both stood there in pain "You actually manage to aim for the... heart" Keneth said while he falls to the ground and quickly dies.

"No" Tidus said while looking at his legs, he knew he was gonna die. "Tidus!" Kyle yelled. The rest run to Tidus to see that he killed Keneth.

"Don't worry.... I avenged.. Melanie and.. Jun" He says as blood spews out of his leg wounds.

"No!" Kyle shouted.

"Thank you... for.. having me and Collin be on your team... it was a hell of an adventure" Tidus says as he closes his eyes, and dies.

Everyone is frightened. They know that they'll be next to die.

"We can't do this... without them"

"I think this is the end of Izuzunu" Eungi says "Jun's dead"

They all look at Eungi "There's no way he's dead" They all said.

Eungi looked at the ground the whole time "I think it's time for all of us to rest and surrender"

"What?" Kyle said.
