End of the Year

Art noticed many changes to his body after becoming an animagus. His body had become stronger again, with his senses being heightened as well. He also discovered he was now able to read a person's thoughts. He wouldn't call it mind reading and wasn't able to discover a person's deep dark secrets but he was able to hear what the person was thinking right now. Dumbledore told him that it was from the Wampus and it was called Legilimency and was the opposite of Occlumency.

Art was also able to sense danger, which was from the Thunderbird and when he wasn't careful he would shock anyone who touched him. Art was pleased with his new gifts and trained them . Fred, George and Cedric's month was almost up and Art told them to meet him in the Astrology tower to finish their potions.

With the moon high in the sky, Art told them to place the mandrake leaf into their vials and some of their hair. Doing what they were told, Art quickly added the other ingredients.

Letting out a sigh of relief he looked at them. "Okay, all you need now is an electrical storm to complete the process. Every morning when you wake up and before you go to sleep you must point your wand at your heart and say 'Amato Animo Animato Animagus'. Every take their vials and keep them somewhere safe and dark. Next storm let's all meet in the Room of Requirement." he explained, giving them a serious expression, mostly the twins.

They nodded seriously as Art handed them their vials, handling them with care.

Carefully putting his vial in his bag, George looked at Art and said, "You completed your transformation? Come on! Show us!"

The other two looked at Art expectedly. Rolling his eyes, Art backed up and transformed into a Wampus, causing the other three to gasp.

He shifted back and explained, "It's a Wampus, a magical creature found in North America. It is very fast and strong, capable of reading your mind." A tiny bit of pride could be heard in Art's voice.

"Amazing but Fred and I can still poop on you." George said, snickering.

Art's face went dark causing the twins to panic and leave quickly.

"Truly magpies, such troublemakers." Art mumbled, watching them leave.

Cedric laughed and walked with Art down the tower. Bidding each other goodnight, both left for their beds. The three of them didn't have to wait long as a storm rolled in the following week. Like they planned, they all headed towards the Room of Requirement, skipping class.

Art told them to spread out and drink their potions.

"Cheers boys." Fred said with a smile, finishing his potion. The other two quickly did the same.

Soon they all cried out in pain as their bodies started to morph into animals. Cedric was the first one done, he turned into a large white and grey wolf. Fred and George shifted into identical magpies and flew around the room, squawking at Art.

"Alright enough, shift back." Art said, giving a glare at the birds.

Soon they were all standing in front of Art. "Congratulations, you are now all now animagus." Art said, giving a large grin to them.

The twins both laughed and high fived each other , even Cedric let out a laugh.

"Now we have a choice to make." Art said seriously. "We can go and register at the Ministry or we can become unregistered Animagi. I know both your dads work at the Ministry so the choice is a group decision. Keep in mind that we could end up in Azkaban if we are caught."

Their faces turned somber as they looked at each other. Cedric spoke first, "I say we register… but now right now. We are too young and it would bring attention to us and Art. Maybe in our third or fourth year we could."

The twins thought about it and nodded their heads in agreement. Art smiled and said, "Sounds good to me. How about tonight we go for a little run?" A mischievous smile appeared on his face which the twins replicated. Cedric rolled his eyes before agreeing.

They were late for Transfiguration and hurried to class. McGonagall gave them a scolding and eyed Art up suspiciously. Art could hear her thoughts and she was wondering if they had become animagi.

The class was soon over and she asked the four of them to stay behind.

"Did you do it?" she asked Art directly.

"Yes professor."

"And them?" she said, pointing at the twins and Cedric.

"Before class professor."

She glared at them, her anger rising. "Shift. Now."

They looked at Art and he nodded his head slightly. Soon the classroom was filled with a wolf, two magpies and a Wampus.

She waved her wand to make sure their shifts were not wrong or defective. After seeing that everything was alright she told them to shift back.

"Animagus is dangerous and high level magic that a second year shouldn't attempt." she scolded them, "I'm glad that everything worked out for you this time but don't let be a habit and continue trying high level magic."

They smiled knowingly, Art had been teaching them spells way past their age.

"Now are you planning on registering?" she asked, tapping her finger on her desk.

"We are professor but we decided not to do it until or third or fourth year. We don't want to bring unwanted attention to ourselves." Cedric said, explaining himself.

McGonagall squinted her eyes at them. "At the end of your third year I will personally take you to the Ministry to register. Dismissed." she said curtly.

Thanking her, the four of them left her office.

"That went better than I thought." Fred said, a little surprised.

"Much better." Fred said.

"Still a go tonight?" Artland asked.

The three of them nodded their heads, clearly excited. Later that night they all snuck out of the castle and walked on the grounds. Art looked at them with a smirk and shifted into a Wampus and sprinted across the grounds. The other three smiled and quickly shifted into their animagi and chased after him. The four of them spent the night running around Hogwarts grounds. Art was a blur as he ran. His speed and strength was off the charts. Fred and George flew high above the castle, diving at each other and terrorized the owls. Cedric howled at the moon and chased Art.

The four of them entered the castle, laughing and recalling their night. Crawling into bed, Art had a smile stuck on his face. He could probably cast a very powerful Patronus right now.

The next morning in Herbology, the four of them had bags under their eyes and were not able to focus on their plants. Things were no better in Transfiguration and McGonagall glared at them, clearly knowing what they did last night.

Fred and George shot Art a mischievous smile.

"Mr. Weasley! Is there something funny you would like to share with the class?" McGonagall descended on Fred like a hawk.

"No ma'am." Fred said, looking down.

The rest of the class the four of them made sure not to attract McGonagall's attention.

The school year quickly came to an end as they took their exams. Art was at the top as usual with Cedric, George and Fred behind him.

In Dumbledore's office, Art was sitting across from Dumbledore.

"Well Artland as expected you are top of your year. What really surprised me was the Weasley twins." he said, with a slight smile on his face.

"They are very gifted wizards, they just have a tough time applying themselves." Art said, thinking of those two magpies causing trouble.

Dumbledore looked at Art and said, "After our talk in winter, I asked an old student of mine if you could apprentice at his place this summer. I think you will enjoy it."

"Apprentice? With who professor?"

Dumbledore's eyes twinkled as he said, "Newt Scamader."

Art was stunned for a moment, "THE Newt Scamader? The author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them?" he asked, his voice getting louder with every word.

"The very same. If you want, you can spend your summer with him and learn about magical beasts."

"It would be my honour professor. I just would need to explain to my parents." Art accepted to offer, more than excited to meet Newt Scamader.

"Of course. I have already talked to Madam Bones and she is willing to take you." Dumbledore said.

Art thanked him and got up to leave the office. He paused at the door, "Professor, Harry Potter should be joining Hogwarts next year right?"

Dumbledore nodded, "Yes, he joins the wizard world next year."

"I think I should be the one to tell him and take him to get his supplies."

"Why is that?" Dumbledore asked confused.

"Our situations are similar in my opinion. If someone else tells him about Voldemort they might underplay it. He needs to know that we survived, against all odds we escaped and survived." Art's serious expression turned into a smile, "Plus he is probably going to trust me more than a strange adult."

Dumbledore thought about it before slowly nodding his head. "Hagrid will go with you."
