1 Chapter 1: Reawakening

Pain, God, Child of Prophecy, Saviour of this World, and The Third Six Paths. All these names are used to describe one man by the name of Nagato Uzumaki. Wielder of the Rinnegan, and former pseudo-leader of the Akatsuki. Later revived into the world via Edo Tensei courtesy of Kabuto, a sick twisted man who was Orochoimaru's lapdog. After being revived along with so many others like fallen members of the Akatsuki and former Kage. He was confused about what was going on, but remembered this technique.

  Nagato himself was revived and sent with Itachi to cause chaos amongst the Allied Shinobi Forces. When traveling Itachi And Nagato run into Naruto and Killer Bee who are the 9 and 8 tail Jinchūriki respectively. Both duo's were surprised to run into each other, even with the current circumstances. As Kabuto willed them the Edo Tensei ninja were forced to attack the pair, which in the fight they could warn each other due to still having control of their voices. Itachi had freed himself using the power of Shisui Uchiha's Sharingan that he gave to Naruto in a crow. But with Itachi freed of control Nagato was now under complete control.

  The fight raged on for a few moments more and at some point Nagato had drained Bee's tailed beast chakra and had de-aged and had become younger.The fight was then over when Itachi had used his Susanoo to stab Nagato. The Susanoo wielding the Sword of Totsuka, which was capable of sealing anything that it pierced. Nagato now freed spoke, "Please forgive me, Itachi…"

  "Good you're back now, you will be sealed soon so do you have any last words?" Itachi asked. "Naruto, I will return to our master's side and watch your story unfold. If you ask me, you are the final volume of the trilogy." Nagato started. "Jiraiya was the perfect first volume. But the second volume was a failure…me. One that our master would not acknowledge." Nagato said while he was crumbling due to the Edo Tensei deactivating. "The series will culminate with the third and final volume. You must make it a masterpiece… One that will overshadow the failure of the middle volume, Naruto! Farewell" Nagato finished as his world went black and was sealed into the gourd.

Roadside Forest

  Nagato finally felt at peace with himself. Knowing he could trust Naruto to do what he and their master couldn't. Nagato feeling himself in his own afterlife next to Jiraiya he was in after he had died the first time decided to rest. But after a few moments something didn't feel right. He felt wind, which should not be possible in where the dead are supposed to roam. He opened his eyes and saw the sky, clouds, grass, and trees. 'What's going on?' He thought to himself calmly as getting worked up wouldn't solve anything. 

  Nagato then looked around and saw he was near a road and saw a puddle near the edge. He went and saw that he looked the same as when he had died in Edo Tensei. His hair had retained his long red hair, signifying he was an Uzumaki and looked around the age of 18. Along with that he still had his Rinnegan and was wearing a dark cloak similar to the original Akatsuki cloak that Yahiko, Konan, and himself had worn. He got up then tested his chakra and small parts of the Rinnegan to see if there were any malfunctions, but felt none. Then made a small cut on himself to see if he was still dead, but saw blood flow so he was alive. 'Where am I and how am I alive?', he questioned himself but waved it off for now.

  He looked at the area he was in and saw a huge city like area surrounded by a wall in the distance. 'Maybe there I can find some answers.' He thought to himself, and quickly dashed through the trees towards the town and stayed out of sight. 

The Capital

When he arrived at the town he used a basic genjutsu to hide his eyes so he didn't attract attention. As he was walking around he noticed this giant city dwarfed Amegakure due to just the sheer sizes of the walls that led to what he assumed was a palace. He looked around seeing wanted signs hung up all around. He read them and saw that they were assassins from a group called Night Raid. Who were wanted by the Capital which he learned was the name from asking the locals, but got weird looks along the way. 

  Later in the day he was walking down a street and heard sounds of struggle coming from an alley. He went over into the alley and looked in and saw 2 guards pinning a woman to the wall. "Come on gorgeous let's have some fun.", the guard  to the left said with lust in his eyes. "Yeah, we'll make it feel real good.", said the guard on the right also with lust in his eyes. "P-Please no", the woman muttered fearfully. 

  Nagato had chosen to step in at that time,"I believe the lady said no, so beat it." The guards looked at Nagato and stared for a second before laughing. "And what are you gonna do about it pipsqueak?", taunted the guard on the right. "I'll just have to take you down myself.", Nagato said nonchalantly. The guard on the left looked at him with a cocky expression. "Are you threatening us? That alone is punishable by death!" The guard then charged him, but Nagato was ready for it. When the guard was close enough he created a chakra rod and stabbed the guard through the heart killing him instantly.

 The other guard started to run away in fear of getting killed, but was stopped when a chakra rod burst through his right leg and destroyed the bone with it. He was about to call for help until he was hit once again with a rod through the head this time rather than a leg. After that fiasco Nagato walked up to the woman and asked her if she was okay and she said yes and ran off, not before thanking him. He sadly smiled and thought to himself,'Why is this world corrupt, it's worse then it was back home.' He pushed the thought away and realized it was getting dark and decided to set up camp somewhere in the forest so he wasn't disturbed by anyone and he could hunt for food.

  Little did he know his world was about to get really crazy really soon.
