18 Recovery

Tokyo Jujutsu High...

Japan...

.

Within a small healing center, the overwhelming scent of bleach was nerve wracking as three unconscious figures rested on their beds with serene expressions.

"Ughh..."

After a few seconds, one of the youths awoke, with his eyelids fluttering open in an instant with extreme vigilance as he continually surveyed his surroundings.

Looking down at his body that was covered in herbs, he sighed, lied back down and closed his eyes, trying to remember the series of events that got him in the current predicament.

"So that's what happened.." After moment of browsing through his thoughts, he opened his eyes and sighed again.

To think a day would come when an apex predator like him would become a prey to another predator.

Even with his powerful physique and fighting abilities he was still inferior to that man and was almost killed. Had he not summoned that big silver wolf, he was sure he wouldn't have made it out alive.

Shaking his head, he closed his eyes trying to summon the demon wolf once more from his soul, however he felt something was wrong.

If not for the fact that he tried getting up earlier, he wouldn't have remembered the strange tattoo that covered his left forearm and wrist.

Raising his hand slowly, he examined the tattoo closely, and he slowly realized that it bore striking semblance to the demon wolf's apparition.

Gently allowing his consciousness to touch the tattoo, he began to sink into it, as he slowly reappeared in another dimension.

A rather shocking revelation, however that was not even his concern in the slightest.

What concerned him now was the new dimension that was covered in windstorms, tornados, wind blades, typhoons.

Failing to notice subtle footsteps behind him, he finally realized a huge shadow had been cast over his figure by an extremely large object.

Turning around in panic, he saw the figure of a gigantic silver wolf staring at him with ferocious eyes.

"It's you...you saved me from that guy. Can we talk for a second?"

In the natural world an action as borderline stupid as talking to a beast would've been seen as madness, this was Jujutsu where impossibilities happened on the regular.

It wasn't overkill for a Jujutsu sorcerer to have the ability to summon or talk to a beast.

Snarling, the wolf waved its paw gently, as their bodies were immediately covered by a tornado and disappeared.

The next thing Kenshin realized, he was still in his bed with a rather small, cute pup lying on him in a lazy position.

"You can shift forms? And what was that dimension?" Kenshin asked only for the pup to respond with a disgusted glare which made his raise a brow.

"What?! I'm just a regular person, how do you expect me to know all these?" Kenshin asked in fury, as the pup glared at him with even greater disdain. Someway somehow, Kenshin could understand its intentions, as if he was talking to it in a way. It was as if there was a thin thread linking their minds together.

*AWoooooo!*

Letting out a cute howl, the pup lied back down, as if disdaining to explain even further.

On the outside that might've been a cute little howl, but to him it was an overload of information. First off, it's real name was Kaze no Okami, which translates as Demon Wolf of the Wind. Also, it claimed to be a mythical creature born from the Azure Primordial Dragon or whatever the hell that was. Not just that, the dimension it lived in was its domain and that huge wolf was its truest form, and its ability allowed it it shrink and enlarge itself, as well as manipulate wind and air.

The next thing it even revealed was shocking, that, it had 6 other siblings, far stronger than it, who were still in slumber, yearning to be awakened one day by their new master which was him.

No, scratch that, not him specifically, but the next incarnation of the Rinnegan which somehow happened to be him or something like that...Even Kenshin didn't know how to feel about all this information.

It seems the Rinnegan was full of mysteries and from what the wolf was saying, it seems he'd yet to even scratch the tip of the iceberg of its truest abilities.

The Physique of the Monkey God alone was enough to place him at the top with its immense strength, reflexes, speed and durability, not to talk of him now being able to summon so called mythological beasts.

"Thanks for the information. Also, now, I'll call you Silver..get it?! Because you're Silver.."

Clearly some of us didn't know that even Kenshin had a goofy side to him, as the pup snarled in annoyance at its name and let out another howl.

"Look. I don't care. I'm your new master now. I can do what I want, hence I choose to call you Silver!!"

Laughing at the distraught expression on the pup's face Kenshin sternly spoke, as it lied back down with a lazy expression, unbothered to try to argue back anymore.

"Those two are still asleep huh.. How hard did that man hit them to still cause them to be unconscious?" Staring at the figures of Hiroshi and Makoto in coma, Kenshin shook his head, placed Silver on the bed and slowly moved himself out of bed.

Upon getting on his feet, he couldn't help but take off the herbs on his body only to see three long gashes, one that extended from his shoulder to abdomen, like a sash. The other across his abdomen and the last on his back.

"Damn, that man did me really dirty.." He sighed and picked up a small blue shirt and placed it on, as well as a pair of black pants.

"Oh it seems you're awake?!!..." The moment he turned around, he noticed Satoru and Suguru as well as Ieiri who looked exhausted for some reason, glaring at him in shock.

"How the hell are you up on your feet?!" Walking up to him, Ieiri placed her hand on his chest, tracing her finger along the long gash.

"Love the tattoo by the way.." Examining the intricate work of art on his forearm, she smiled and continued whatever she was doing.

"We weren't able to heal you guys effectively because Dr. Ieiri was not around. Ayumu seems to have taken a vacation or something too.."

Satoru scratched his head and spoke, while Suguru's eyes landed on the silver pup that was lazily lying on the bed.

"You're quite tenacious, you know?" Shaking his head, Suguru smiled at Kenshin, as the blue haired youth replied with a sigh.

"Alright gentleman, I've assessed the nature of your wounds. Two tissue deep slashes and one external, easy peesy. Now sit and let me do my magic. I need to go rest..."

Pushing him against the edge of the bed, Ieiri waved her hand, which immediately became encapsulated in a cool, bright energy before she gently massaged Kenshin's chest and back.

And in that moment, he felt all his wounds heal instantly and disappear along with the pain he kept ignoring all this while.

"Damn. Thanks! I feel better now!!" Feeling his strength come back to him, he stretched his waist and neck, emitting cracking sounds from his bones before he back flipped and landed on the ground.

"Oi Kenshin. What's up with the pup? Are you into pets now?!" Instantly bearing being called a pet by none other than Gojo Satoru, Silver sprung up from its lazy pose and roared, as it transformed into a three meters tall silver wolf as a fierce wind erupted.

"Oi calm down!" Sternly patting its head the wolf snarled and transformed into a small pup and climbed up to Kenshin's shoulders stretched and lied down comfortably.

"So what?! Now you can summon Shikigami?! It seems we need to up our games, Suguru."

Satoru looked at Suguru and spoke.

"What are its abilities?" Suguru ignored Satoru and asked with a bit of fascination as he stared at Silver's lazy figure.

"From what it told me, it can manipulate wind and air, as well as shrink and enlarge itself.." Kenshin spoke.

"Is it the only one you can summon?" Suguru followed up with another question.

"Silver told me that there are 6 of its siblings far stronger than it waiting to be summoned, I guess it'll just depend on my mastery of the Path or something like that.."

Waving his hand, Kenshin shrugged and walked out of the recovery room, as he rubbed his stomach in hunger.

"Let's go get something to eat?" He smiled and dashed towards his hostel, utilizing his unnatural speed and agility.
