5 The Orario Tour

It's the next morning after I had arrived in Orario. The room was simply amazing and furnished with some top quality furniture. The bed was a large, single bed draped in thin, see through veils that hung around the perimeter of the bed. Velvet colored blankets. Definitely a high class inn I must admit. After a simple breakfast I leave to explore all that this wonderful city of adventures have to offer.

"Now let's see.... I probably should go ahead and register as an adventurer so I won't forget about it later."

I decide my first location in my grand tour of Orario.

##Pantheon - The Adventurer's Guild.##

I have arrived at the guild following the directions of some nice adventurous looking people along the way, so it did not take me longer that 20 minutes to arrive at my destination.

The main building of the guild is called the Pantheon. As I walk into the main building I am greeted by the bustling atmosphere of numerous adventurers coming and going, or just hanging around and chatting with their friends. The main area is a wide space with counters for adventurers to talk with their advisors, exchange magic stones and drops, and there is even small meeting boxes where adventurers can have private discussions with their advisors without anyone hearing.

There is even a library area which has caught my attention. I'm a sucker for literature after all.

I walk up an empty counter and speak to the girl at the counter who I recognize immediately as Eina Tulle herself.

Eina Tulle, a lovely half elf girl of 19 years old with a slim body, pointy ears, shoulder length brown hair, and emerald colored eyes.

"Hello! Welcome to the guild!" Eina greets me as I walk up with a bow. "You must be a new adventurer, are you here to register.

"I nod my head politely and reply, "Of course! If you would kindly explain the ins and outs of being an adventure I would be delighted!" I already know enough from watching the anime and reading the material for the series, but I should at least let the young lady do her job.

"Certainly!" She so enthusiastically goes through a basic summary of the guild's history and explains the purpose of the guild. Which is to manage the monster threat created in the dungeon. Aside from this the guild buys magic stones, drop loot, and adventurer created maps of the dungeon. The guild would also provide weapons and armors for adventurers who are just starting out.

Eina also mentioned that guild staff also take the position of advisors for adventurers, often suggesting what depth an adventurer should go in the dungeon accordance to their levels and skills, as well as warning them of any special dangers of certain floors and how to prepare against them.

Eina said that upon registering, she would take the role of my advisor, which is honestly not that bad to me, considering how familiar I am with her from the series. Her personality is worthy of respect too. She shows a serious, calm demeanor, appearing as a very wise girl. She is passionate about her job and doesn't want any harm to come to any adventurer under her care.

Of course I could live without the extra classes though.

"And that is everything!" Says Eina after finishing her short lecture. I almost thought she would never slow down. So much passion for her career. She smiles, "So lets get you registered!"

I nod as she hands me a sheet of paper to fill out with my information.

Name: Nyx Reyes Noire.

Age: 16.

Affiliation: Not Interested. (Pretty much asking if he is in a Familia.)

After filling in the miscellaneous information about myself on the form I return it to Eina. She reads through information, nodding along the way, but as she reaches a certain point she frowns a bit.

"What do you mean by not interested?" She asks looking at me with a brow arched.

I could only shrug, "I'm just not interested in joining any familia in the foreseeable future." I reply waving my hand nonchalantly, "I believe that I can grow stronger and reach greater heights without the falna bestowed by the gods. Besides, I already have experience using magic and my own special abilities."

"But...." Eina tries to refute, worried about me as she would any new adventurer she is in charge of. "Ha.... fine then! I want you to at least give me a run down of your abilities and spells.

"Very well."

I go on to explain about the current abilities I have in my arsenal. From Scan and it's uses later on when it's mastered, to Armiger and all of the spiritual weapons I'm able to conjure at will. She was also interested in the illusive potential Warp possesses when it comes to evading danger at different realms. Once Eina has a good read on my abilities and potential, she sighs in relief, knowing that with my skill full use of each of my abilities, I could survive and hunt much easier than other solo adventurers who from what she said, never take things as seriously as they should.

I assured her that I would never lose my caution much to her relief.

"It seems that I won't have to worry too much about your safety if you already have such amazing abilities without even gaining a god or goddess' favor." Eina says with a smile.

"I assure you miss Eina, that I grow much differently from other adventurers, so you will never have to worry about me that much," I say while smiling at the worrisome girl.

"I thank you for your assurance and I wish you luck on your adventures. Also, please just call me Eina."

I nod.

After chatting with the pretty half elf girl, I leave to explore more of the city at my own leisure.

##Babel.##

My next stop on the tour is the massive construct at the city's center, the tower known as Babel.

Babel was built to stop the monsters within from escaping. According to the lore, it was originally the same size as the surrounding buildings, but was intentionally destroyed and rebuilt when the first gods came down to earth.

Babel is owned by the Guild to watch and take care of the dungeon. The first 20 floors are filled with businesses run by the familia, facilities, and money exchanges. The Hephaestus Familia has shops in the floors 4-8. Above that are the living areas of the most prominent gods in Orario, known as the Private Rooms. Freya apparently lives on the top floor of Babel.

I scour through the shops and admire the craftsmanship of the professionals of this age. Swords, spears, battle hammers, mage staves, combat gauntlets, heavy armors, leather armors. From sky high prices all the way down to the affordable prices that even rookie adventurers can afford.

Of course none of these equipment interest me, for I have plenty of equipment stored within my ring. Plus the Royal Raiment I'm wearing now has plenty of defensive properties making it just as suitable for combat as any other armor. Later on I may even be able to upgrade them after my power grows. Why not look stylish while fighting?

I leave the Babel after exploring for a while. It turns out it's just in time for lunch, so I decide to go somewhere familiar for lunch.

##Hostess of Fertility.##

I arrive at a very busy time of day, for the shop is packed full of adventurers. But luck wasn't against me, for I had found an empty table to sit at and await the beautiful waitress that will take my order and serve me my meal.

I didn't have to wait long.

"Welcome to the Hostess of Fertility!" A lovely voice made it's way to my ears. "I am Sanjouno Haruhime and I will be your waitress today!"

I nod and smile before speaking back, "Ah! Nice to meet you. It would please me if you could tell me what todays specia... huh?" I take a moment to register something, then it hits me. Something that shouldn't be here is actually here before me.

"... Um? Are you okay sir?" She asks looking at me with her head tilted cutely to the side. I can tell she is nervous, somewhat timid, but she is braving it to receive my order and serve me like a proper waitress of this place.

I nod slowly and clear my throat, "Yeah, sorry about that. I was just gonna ask you to tell me about today's special."

She smiles and bows politely while talking about todays special, meanwhile I'm here thinking about something entirely different.

'How is she here?' I ask myself, 'She should still be in that brothel right? But the gorgeous fox herself is standing here taking my order. Did something in the series' timeline change anything? Or is my existence effecting the timeline that much?'

Little did I know that I wasn't the only person brought back from death's grasp, but I won't discover that for a very long time.

After listening to her description of the daily special, I order me a serving and enjoy it later on. Who knew that this place had legitimate hamburgers topped with a fried egg, lettuce, tomatoes, and a special sauce that looks suspiciously like ketchup, yet tastes so much different.

"How does this world have hamburgers like this?" I ask under my breath while eating, "I mean seriously! I was considering recreating my old favorite recipes from earth, but something beat me to it. Why the egg on top of the burger though?"

My perspective of this world has already changed after my first lunch here in this world. Why the odd changes? Why is a gorgeous fox girl serving at a restaurant when she was originally suppose to be in a brothel? I mean I'm happy she isn't forced to serve some pitiful limp dicks as a plaything, but some events are certainly going to be different from the original timeline.

I would normally want to investigate this, but I'm more interested in adventuring than anything else. My life free from the curse of cancer is going to be one I lead with my own effort.

I am free now. Whatever may come I will face with my own two hands standing tall and proud! Not nestled up in a bed as my life slips away slowly.

After lunch I continue my tour. I explore a certain maze like street, but eventually I got annoyed and threw my Gunblade to the roof tops and cheated to escape. I found an old orphanage and gave candies to the cheerful little bundles of joy and watched as they ran off with smiles on their faces. I went to every possible place along the tour, including busty Lolita Goddess, Hestia's church. Soon the sun starts setting on the day, so I return to my room at the Siren's Kiss and rest for the night after a soothing bath and dinner. I kindly refused the advances of a few server girls and head off to bed.

Tomorrow I explore the dungeon!
