7 Accidentally Encounter.

I have been coming to the dungeon for well over a week now hunting and killing monsters to absorb their aura and strengthen myself. The growth is slow, but I can definitely feel myself reaching closer and closer to what I would consider a breakthrough, something that would level up up.

As I absorb more aura, I can even feel my magic reserves growing. When I first started I could cast Scan 5 times before running dry, then it increases to 7 by the time I reached Orario. Now after a week of hunting. I can cast Scan 15 times easily.

Lets not even mention Warp. I was so stubborn of mastering that skill, that I would have a kobold or two, even goblins and dungeon lizards attack me just so I could master the timing of warp, evading their attacks over and over. Eventually my mastery of the skill had paid off and I no longer expend mana to use it.

Stubbornness for the win! Overpowered evasive technique to spam in my times of need.

To get the hang of fighting both single monsters, small groups, bipedal or beast types, I focused only on the first 4 floors for the time being during my hunts. Other than the occasional meals at the Hostess of Fertility, I was able to save up quite a bit of money in just one week. Unlike most adventurers, I don't need to make trips back to cash in magic crystals just to clear up inventory space or hire a portal. Although there were offers, but I had to politely decline.

After one of trips Eina had to drag me to a private boost to explain how strange it looks for a mere beginner, who never seems to carry weapons or armor, nor bags for loot, coming into the guild cashing in hordes of magic crystals and other drops. So after a lengthy negotiation, we came to an agreement to use a private booth to deal with my gains. Eina is right though, people would try something if they know I had something that makes carrying loot easier.

Luckily I had ways to escape those annoying types of people. Just the toss of the sword and like a magician.

Poof!

I'm gone! Hahaha!

I'm having way too much fun in this life. Without school and cancer holding me back, I can do anything I dream of. Fight monsters, raid a dungeon, possibly fall in love one day. The sky's the limit.

##Accidental Encounter.##

I had just finished up another wave of goblins, this time without a scratch on me. Before getting the timing down perfectly for Warp and getting the boost from absorbing the aura of countless monsters, I would still take some damage. Any party of monsters with 3 or more, the auras they reveal when I use Scan on them change to red, so it was needless to say how challenging the groups were. After the first group fight I had to drink a potion to recover my health.

"Okay, now these should gain me at least 10,000 valis." I said with a smile after storing away the final magic crystal. This particular group Did not pose much of a threat considering I go the jump on them. Copying the sneak attack tactics from XV, I flung my sword into one of goblins I was hunting, warped to the Gunblade, then quickly swiped the second's head off with a Critical Strike to the kill point on it's throat. Evading the last goblin's wooden spear thrust I moved in close and stabbed in in the heart before backing off to avoid the spur of blood.

Quick and efficient. Less effort, more reward. After the usual absorption of the auras, I collected the crystals after the body's dissolve.

"Wuaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!"

I hear a scream from nearby. Someone is in trouble!

Dashing off in the direction of the scream I can hear the sound of large feet thumping against the ground and a vicious snarl of a beast. For some reason I'm getting a bad feeling about something, but can't quite put my finger on it. Shrugging it off as me worrying to much about nothing I charge on. After turning through a few corridors I come across a familiar area I have been to before. I know for a fact that a dead end is ahead. After making one final turn I come across an imposing sight.

A large hulking figure preparing to attack a helpless fellow adventurer.

"Well..... the Gunblade isn't gonna cut it here...." I think for a moment before coming up with an idea. In the distance I hear footsteps approaching, probably someone else here for the rescue. I take the Gunblade and throw it up into the air high above the beast. Luckily the ceiling is so high up that it won't get in the way of what I have in mind. "If a tiny blade won't cut it, then lets give you a taste of a gravity powered meteor drop with a giant hunk of metal!"

Warping to the Gunblade, I immediately dismiss it and call out the massive beast that is the Dragon Slayer. With a big huff, I pull it back as far as possible over my shoulders and then swing downward with the momentum of the drop before...

*Boooooom!!!*

The gigantic blade easily tears through the hide of the hulking figure and rips it in half, crushing any form of resistance the beast may have under the might of the Dragon Slayer. The force of the impact after it tore the beast clean in half caused the floor in the area to rumble and crumble. I am crouched on the ground, my hands still wrapped around the handle, arms and legs trembling from both the nearly ruptured muscles, and the force of the impact.

"Haha...ha..." I laughed dryly and hiss at the burning muscles throughout my body. "Not the best laid out plan, but at least the other guys okay.... Oh crap! Now I remember why I felt something familiar."

As the two halves of the beast fall aside, I am greeted by the familiar sight of a blood drenched boy, who in the original series is the main protagonist. Bell Cranel. The footsteps I heard in the distance stop a few feet behind me and I most definitely know who to expect.

"Well... You okay kid?" I ask Bell with a cheeky grin.

He just nods quietly. Yet the look in his eyes, they appear to be sparkling. As if he had witnessed a true hero.

'Damn. Here's to hoping Liaris Freese can be triggered by something other than a crush. Because he is looking at me strangely." I think inwardly.

I hold my hand out to help him up, which he accepts readily. Looking between me and the gigantic lug of iron I used to split the Minotaur in half, I know already that he is going to ask something.

"That was awesome!" Bell exclaims excitedly as he admires the sword. "You appear in midair and pull out the biggest sword I have ever seen and easily cut that Minotaur in half! How did you get so strong!?"

I laugh wryly and reply, "It's not that I'm strong. The sword is just kinda part of me and I can use it without the weight." I explain, "but the pressure still affects me and honestly speaking, all of the muscles in my body are on the brink of rupturing."

He nods and looks apologetic, "Sorry, but I do appreciate your help. I wish I could be strong like that too!"

"You can." I say encouragingly, "Keep on training, fighting, and never give up on your dreams. You can be whatever you want. Even a hero if thats what you desire."

He takes my encouragement seriously and nods furiously with a grin.

"Right! I'll become the best hero!" And with that Bell charges off. Honestly speaking both me and him had forgotten the others that had arrived. I turned around to see the spectators and they are staring at me curiously.

"What's up?" I ask.

".... You killed a Minotaur." The golden haired, golden eyes beauty in light armor stated with a blank look on her face.

I laugh dryly and shrug.

"When factor in the height when swinging downwards with a weapon that weights as much as this big lug..." I point back towards the Dragon Slayer, "then the drop combined with the heavy weapon is more than enough to cut through flesh and bones easily."

she nods understandingly and then points at the blade.

"... What is that?" Ais asks.

"That big lug of iron is called Dragon Slayer." I answered. Upon hearing the name there was a brief glint in her eyes before returning to her normal blank expression.

"Dragon..... Slayer...." She repeats the name.

I walk over to grab the handle, but I seem to notice that the body of the Minotaur hasn't dissolved yet for some reason. As I get closer the aura within it bursts from the corpse like a tidal wave and pour into my body. The strength I'm gaining from a monster far stronger than me is so overwhelming, that I can feel the strength within me growing faster and faster....

*Boom!!!*

I feel something within me explode and my own aura explodes pouring out of me, strengthening my body, enhancing my magic. The force of my aura kicks up a lot of dust and sends forth a powerful gust causing the entourage from the Loki Familia to shield their eyes, lest they get dust in them. A few moments later everything settles down and I'm standing here both baffled and excited.

"Holy shit!" I shout out with a grin, "That Minotaur's aura pushed me straight to level 2. My first level up and I've only been in Orario a week!"

My outburst was definitely heard by the spectators, but I didn't care one bit. I dismissed the Dragon Slayer picked up the gem, and waved back as I ran out in a hurry. Getting to level 2 had been one of my first goals for the time being, then I was going to work on training and mastering the Renzokuken style, learning a few spells, and consolidating my gains. I won't rush things too quickly when it comes to my growth, but one thing is for sure, I can level up easily without a god's help.

"Sorry! Can't stay to chat, gotta go do something now that I level up! Later!" I said and rushed off leaving Ais and her group behind in confusion.

".... He is weird, but strong." Ais says.

Riviera nods, "I agree. Where did such a little monster come from? Whose familia could attract such a thing?"

Ais shakes her head, "I don't know."

"1 week is all it took for him to go from level 1 to level 2?" Riviera mumbles, "That's definitely a new record. Even faster than those two monsters from Lady Minerva's Familia."

Ais nods agreeably and thinks about the black haired, red eyed adventurer they just met.

"Who is he?" She asks tilting her head, thinking about the name of that massive sword. 'Could it really slay a dragon?'

##Minerva's Chamber - 3rd Person PoV.##

"PFFFFFFTTTTT!!!" After a round of hunting within the dungeon, Deus and Kiara had decided to relax and check in on their new brother. He was training diligently, sweeping away disgusting goblins and kobolds, collecting their crystals, and for some strange reason, absorbing some sort of energy from them. But when it got to him ripping the Minotaur in half with the Dragon Slayer and leveling up instantly afterwards. Deus lost the juice she was enjoying, all over Kiara's face.

"Thank you for that sister..." Kiara says blankly as she wipes the juice from her face. Looking at the big lug of iron her brows arch in interest, "Look at that mighty beast of a sword. Which series did it come from?"

Deus looks at her as if she were crazy, "That's what your wondering? How about the part where he goes from level 1 to level 2!? He has only been in this world for around 2 fucking weeks sis!"

"Oh that.... You leveled up in a month didn't you?" Kiara asks.

Deus nods and says, "Yeah, but so did you!"

"Let's be honest sis," Kiara says before continuing, "That Minotaur was way over his level, but with the weight of that sword, which I'm curious how he can lift it, and the huge drop from above, it's no wonder he was able to slice through it so easily."

Deus nods, "True. I still wonder what he is absorbing every time he kills a monster?"

"We can only ask mom later."

The both nod and continue to watch before Kiara asks.

"Did he just steal Ais Wallenstein's thunder and save Bell Cranel?"

"Yes." Deus nods. "Here is hoping that he didn't become whitey's new crush."

"Agreed."
