22 Jeon Jungwoo (2)

Jinhyun took Naeun outside and turned to look at her.

"Now tell me what's wrong?"

"I told you it's nothing."

"Did you have a fight with Taehyun?"

"No. Because you have fights with those who care about you."

Perfectly true.

"Naeun tell me what's wrong." Jinhyun insisted.

"Why are you being so kind to me all of a sudden?" She tried to change the subject.

"I'm not doing this for you. I am worried about my friend that he'll get hurt if you leave or if you both fight."

"I don't think your friend cares that much about me."

"What do you mean by that? Tell me, maybe I could help."

"Yeah sure. Then you'll go and tell it all to your best friend."

"Look, we men aren't like women who meddle in affairs out of our control. And we don't go babbling about it to the whole world."

"Your friend doesn't care about me that much. I'm just here for his position."

"Wha- you must be misunderstanding Naeun. Before you came into his life, Taehyun was a total workaholic. He didn't even use to come home and used to sleep at some hotel. With a click of his fingers, girls would have lined up to be with him. But he didn't want them. He chose you for a reason."

"Ok let's not talk about this. Will you tell the others about Jungwoo?" She asked.

"Jaemin and Minjoon will be here soon. I'll inform Taehyun some days later."

"Why?"

"Because he'll leave his whole meeting and turn the plane around to come back."

"Are they this close?" Naeun asked surprised.

"They aren't friends. They are brothers. We all are but they both are closer."

"Hmm...ok. Thanks, I'll be going now."

"Remember what I told you."

Naeun nodded and went off, tired, yearning for some sleep.

Next day,

Naeun entered the building after having breakfast at a nearby restaurant. At least that's what she told Jinhyun when he asked. Jihoon had informed her of a small task that Hanjae wanted her to do. So she finished it after leaving the mansion and then came straight to the company.

Entering the planning department she went to her working place and sat down. But the next moment Jungwoo walked in and every person stood up in a second. Naeun sighed heavily and then got up slowly too.

"Ah, Miss Park you're late," Jungwoo said when he noticed her.

"I don't think so. I'm right on time at 9:00."

"You are 30 seconds late."

You- 30 seconds!? Does it even count?!

"I don't think it's that late, don't you think?" She chuckled saying.

"The one thing I despise the most is, somebody under me telling me what to do and then being late to work."

How many things do you despise!?

"That's two things."

"Finish all these files by tomorrow." He said pointing at the pile at her desk.

"I'll finish them by today."

"We'll see, princess."

They both turned with angry faces and Naeun sat down on her chair, again, fuming.

"Well, that was brave," Mike commented.

"I hate him more than he hates the whole world. Like 30 seconds!? Why did he have to come back!"

"Sir Kai required work but Boss Jungwoo asks for perfection along with it. Don't worry, you'll get used to it."

Naeun knew that she would have to get rid of one of the guys to be included in the Top 5. It would have to be either Jaemin, Jinhyun, Minjoon, or Jungwoo. And she was sure she would choose Jungwoo in a heartbeat.

At the mansion,

Lisa blinked open her eyes and yawned, stretching her body. Getting up from the bed she jumped finding Minjoon standing at the door, leaning.

"What are you doing here?"

"Talk." He ordered.

"He forwarded the phone to her and put it on speaker.

"Hello? Who is this?"

"It's me, dad."

"What mess have you gotten into now? Where are you?"

"I've been kidnapped. They're asking for money."

"How much?" Groaned the man.

"20 Million Dollars at the Infinity Bridge."

"Fine, I'll be there."

"Please don't bring any police with you. They have a gun at my head all the time."

He cut the call without answering Lisa and she gave the phone back to Minjoon.

"Wow, so you are helping rob your family that easily."

"Not my family, only my dad," Lisa replied sadly.

"Isn't your father your family?" Minjoon asked curiously.

"I don't like dad. He's mean and greedy. He took me away from my mom. I couldn't even visit her on her deathbed."

"Do you want me to do something?"

"No please don't hurt him," Lisa exclaimed.

"You are strange. He's bad to you but you're saving him."

"I'm grateful to him for all my life. He's my father."

Minjoon left the room feeling pity for the girl. "Who's dad treats their daughter like that?" He thought.

10:00 p.m.,

Setting the big pile of files that Jungwoo had "on purpose" given to her to anger her, were finally finished. Checking the time she placed her head on the table and fell asleep due to exhaustion.

A few minutes later Jungwoo entered the room. Everybody had gone but his eyes landed on the girl who was sleeping with her face hidden in her arms. Naeun was wide awake. She was pretending to sleep so she could see what Jungwoo would do.

Jungwoo walked up to her and grabbed a file seeing it through.

"So you really did it."

He placed the file down and removed the hair fallen on Naeun's face softly with his hands. Naeun found this alarming and got up abruptly staring at the guy smiling in front of her.

"What are you doing?" She asked and tried to look into his eyes but he lowered his head, smiling?

"I know you can read minds. Jinhyun told me. Did I disturb your sleep, Princess?"

"Don't call me that."

"If it's one thing I hate the most is when somebody orders me around. Especially someone like you."

"Good. Then I'll be you leaving you alone now. Enjoy your time in hating everything."

"How about we have a competition?"

"Sorry, not interested."

"I'll give you half-day tomorrow if you do."

Naeun considered this for a second and then nodded.

"Let's see who gets at the mansion first. A car race. Might sound easy but isn't that easy when you're with me."

"Game on."

Naeun got out of her car at the same time as Jungwoo. They had a furious race but they both arrived at the same time.

"I got here first."

"You are delusional." Jungwoo chuckled.

"I'm taking half day tomorrow as promised."

"Only half-day, remember."

Naeun ran into the mansion without wasting another second. Tomorrow was going to be a busy day.

Next Day, 11:00 a.m.,

Jaemin and Jungwoo entered the State Bank and raising their guns along with their guards they made everybody raise their hands. Minjoon was working from Level 7 as he was supposed to hack Lisa's father's bank account. Jungwoo went forward towards the guy at the counter.

"W-What do you w-want?" The guy asked, trembling.

"I need some of your codes. Tell them or get killed. Choose."

The guy started working while Jaemin noticed a girl trying to contact somebody through her phone. He motioned his guards towards her and they went forward with guns pointed at her but a voice stopped them,

"I'll ask you to drop that please."
