1 Chapter 01: The Path On Becoming A SwordMaster.

Before the Purebloods rebellion ended, A baby boy was found by a woman named Elise Schneizer who was currently gathering water from the river of Aldian.

Aldian is a small town that is located at the outskirts of Great Britannia's Conquered land called "South Nation".

Since the Great britannia conquered most of the nations throughout the continent, The Emperor unified the nations into "4 districts" called the North Nation with 5 nations unified and West Nation with 5 nations unified and East Nation with 4 nations unified and lastly South nation with 3 nations unified.

And standing at the middle of the 4 Districts is the Great britannia who conquered all of the nations.

South nation has currently 3 kingdoms that were unified into one. The kingdom of Zulack, Washfield and Groundward.

Aldian is located near the outskirts of Groundward.

"Uwa! Uwa!" As the child cried along the river.

Elise, who was gathering some water saw a wooden boat that was getting carried along as the river flows.

Elise immediately lets go of her bucket and rushed towards the wooden boat which was carrying a baby boy that was crying out loud.

Then rain started pouring from the sky, Elise then immediately grabs the Child and takes him to her house.

"Uwa! Uwa! Uwa!" As the child cries while they ran towards the Town's gate.

After reaching Elise's house, She began on wiping the Child's body using a towel.

The child started to calm down and stopped crying.

Elise immediately searched for Milk on her kitchen.

But couldn't find any, so she rushed outside to buy but noticed that it was raining heavily.

So she went back inside and looked at the child while the child fell asleep.

Elise smiled as she clearly saw the face of the child who was sleeping silently.

Elise noticed that the baby boy had beautiful long eyelashes and ash colored hair.

Elise then named him Asquel, and raised him as her own since she was only Eighteen years old without any parents.

Elise's parents died at the war, Her parents were recruited by the Groundward's military forces when the Great Britannia Attacked all the nations.

Then 13 years had passed and Asquel became a young boy who had great interest in swordsmanship.

Asquel who trained his swordsmanship intensively without wasting a single day was at the Training grounds that he personally made.

"Asquel! Asquel! Breakfast is ready, come home now and eat your food before it gets cold!" As Elise yells towards Asquel who was swinging his wooden sword.

"Yes mom! I'm coming!" As Asquel replied.

Asquel puts down his wooden sword and ran towards their house, As he went inside he saw her mom preparing their food.

Asquel and Elise started eating after preparing the plates.

"Asquel, you know that today is your entrance ceremony right?"

"Yes, After I finish eating I'll quickly head towards Groundward Academy."

"So you better behave there okay? Don't cause any trouble for me, okay son?"

"Ofcourse mom! I'm gonna learn and become the greatest sword master in all of Groundward!" As he replied with excitement.

Elise smiled and looked at Asquel who was currently eating his meal.

Elise remembered all the memories on how she raised Asquel.

"I know that the academy will provide you dorms, so send me a letter once you get there okay?"

"Yes mom! I'll send you letters daily. Keke!"

"You know that sending letters cost right? Just send me one on every week."

"Okay mom. You better take care of yourself here okay? I don't want you getting sick or anything else."

As Asquel replied.

"Don't worry, don't worry! I'll be fine by myself and there's someone who's currently looking out for me right? You know the guy that always gives us Clean water?"

"Oh! That middle aged Guard from the Town's gate?! Come on mom! You gotta increase your standards, That Guy acts like he's so full of himself."

"But he's pretty nice right? He helps us with our necessities and doesn't waver even I rejected him a couple of times, I'm starting to fall for him you know." Elise replied in a merry tone while blushing.

Haiden who is currently working as a Station guard at the Town's gate, was inlove with Elise and kept on chasing her since they were teenagers.

"Ugh, I can't even imagine how the middle aged geezer would become my father!" As Asquel replied with a sour look on his face.

Elise laughed as she heard Asquel's words.

After they ate, Asquel started preparing his things and headed towards the Town's gate with Elise.

Haiden who was stationed there at that time saw Elise and Asquel walking towards the gate.

"Oh my dear Elise! Good morning! What can i do for you?" Haiden spoke as he's eyes were filled with heart.

"Oh, haiden good morning. We were just passing by, I'm sending Asquel off, Today's the day he's gonna go to Groundward Academy."

"This old geezer really ticks me off. Stay away from my mom! You look like a weird pervert."

"Ehem, Congratulations on getting in at Groundward academy Asquel. I hope you stay there forever and leave your mom in my care."

"This old geezer really knows how to pick a fight!" As asquel replied furiously.

Then Asquel tells his goodbyes to her mom and walks away waving his hands.

Elise waves back as she see her son walks away and pursue his dreams on becoming the greatest sword master.

After Four hours of walking, Asquel reached the kingdom of Groundward. And was elated to see that he's about to learn swordsmanship and pursue his dreams.

Asquel then entered Groundward and searched for the academy.

As he was walking around the streets, He saw alot of new things that were displayed on each corner of the kingdom.

Swords, bows, staffs and also accessories that were magic imbued.

As well as food vendors, Food that he never tasted since he lived all his life at a town faraway from groundward.

"Hey, stop hitting me, I said I'm sorry."

"Keke! How dare you bump into a noble and get away with it with some simple sorry!"

Asquel noticed that something was going on at the alleyway.

"Please stop hitting me, I'm sorry." As the kid cried while apologizing.

"This guy is such a coward, How dare a peasant tries to apologize!" And punched the crying kid.

Asquel saw that they were ganging up on some kid.

He immediately tries to stop them from hurting the Kid that was currently on the ground.

"Guys, you can stop now. The kid apologized right?"

One of the guys that were ganging up on the crying kid intervened.

"Don't you know who he is? He is Redgard Hemsworth! He is the Son of Ashten Hemsworth! The Viscount of Groundward you peasant!"

Redgard smirked as he was introduced by his accomplice.

"That's right! and this kid bumped into me, This is his Punishment for bumping unto me! Keke!" As redgard replied with confidence.

"He apologized so let him be, You can't just beat him up cause he bumped unto you."

One of redgard's boys rushed towards Asquel and tried to punch him.

But Asquel evaded and the boy tipped his toe and fell to the ground.

Redgard saw how Asquel evaded the punch and immediately tells his goons that they will now leave.

"You better watch yourself from now on! You just got lucky that our boss let you off. Keke!" As the goons said and walked away from the alleyway.

"Are you alright? Can you stand up?" Asquel asked the kid who was sitting on the ground.

"Yes I'm fine, Thanks for saving me. Umm, my name is Crystal."

"Crystal? That's weird for a boy's name."

Then Asquel looked at the kid and noticed that he had a pretty face.

"Are you sure you're a boy Crystal?" Asquel asked.

"Umm, I'm a girl actually." Crystal replied.

Asquel was shocked that she was a girl.

"I--I'm sorry! I didn't notice that you were a girl! Forgive me!" As asquel bowed his head towards crystal.

Crystal replied while being shy.

"It's alright, By the way may I ask for your name?"

"I'm Asquel, It's nice to meet you."

"Yeah, nice to meet you too asquel. And thank you for saving me earlier."

"No worries! Can you perhaps lead me towards Groundward Academy? I'm kinda lost." As asquel asked while scratching his head out of embarrassment.

"Sure, I'm also heading towards there. Today's the Entrance ceremony for the new Students. Are you perhaps a new student there?"

"Yeah, Let's head there together if it's okay with you."

Crystal nodded with excitement and they started walking and headed towards Groundward Academy.

Meanwhile at the Academy...

Alot of kids were gathered at the front of the Academy.

The kids were chatting around.

Crystal and Asquel finally arrived at the Entrance of Groundward Academy.

As soon as they entered Trumpets began to play and followed up by drums Welcoming the new students that were about to enter Groundward Academy.

An elder started walking up towards the stage and greeted the new students.

"Welcome! To Groundward Academy! We hope to see new talented individuals on this year's new students. And please follow the Academy rules and you will also be provided shelter, food and any of your daily necessities. Congratulations on passing the Entrance exams!"

Trumpets started playing and was followed again by drums.

The elder who was known as the Principal of the Academy began to walk inside of the Academy.

And the new students were all excited as they check the lists on the billboards.

Crystal then bids farewell to Asquel as they will be appointed on different Sectors.

Crystal who had the Aptitude of being a "Mage" Entered the Mage Class.

Asquel who excelled at Beginner's Swordsmanship entered the Swordsman Class.

Asquel then went to his designated room that the Academy has given him.

As he opened the door, he noticed that the room was completely messy.

He then entered the room and saw a young man searching for something at his luggages."

"Excuse me, Is this perhaps a two--"

"Ahhh! Where is it!? I can't find my dagger!"

Asquel was shocked and stumbled to the ground.

"Ohh, I'm sorry for surprising you like that Mister?"

"Asquel, My name is Asquel."

"Oh mister asquel, I'm Ryan. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too Ryan, By the way what are you looking for?" Asquel asked out of curiosity.

"I'm looking for my dagger, It has a Silver coating on it. It was a gift from my father, But i forgot where I put it."

"I'll help you look for it."

"Thanks Asquel."

Then they continued searching through the luggages that ryan brought. And after fifteen minutes they finally found the dagger. And was currently stuck at the back pocket of Ryan's Cloak.

"I'm sorry for being this dumb asquel." As he spoke with embarrassment.

Asquel laughed and smiled.

The a voice was heard all over the academy.

"Attention students of the Academy. Proceed on going to your Designated classrooms. Mage classrooms are at the 2nd floor, Archer classrooms are at the 3rd floor and the Swordsman classrooms are at the ground floor."

"It looks like we're about to start ryan. You are a swordsman right?"

"No, I'm a mage actually."

"Ohh, so goodluck on your first day! Let's see each other later after our classes."

"Sure asquel, Let's eat together at lunch."

"Yeah! Save me a seat!" As asquel said while running to find his classroom.

"Let's see, I'm at Class 3 so let's see." As he walked along the corridor of the Ground floor.

As he was looking at the Classroom signs he suddenly bumped unto someone and they both fell on the ground.

"I'm sorry for bumping unto you." As asquel apologized while standing.

"No it was my fault too that I didn't notice you."

Asquel then looks at the one he bumped unto and noticed it was a girl with a black hair and a pretty face with blue eyes.

Asquel blushed and apologized.

The girl apologized as well.

"I'm really sorry for bumping unto you. But i gotta go now or I'll be late." Asquel said.

"Yes me too."

Then as they walked they noticed they were heading towards the same classroom.

Asquel looked at the girl and asked.

"Are you perhaps a swordsman?"

"Umm, yeah. And this is my classroom. (Pointing towards class 3)"

"Oh so we're at the same class. Then let's go inside."

As they sat on their designated chairs the students were chatting.

Then a Man entered the classroom introducing himself as their teacher.

"I am Roger Clief, Your Swordsmanship teacher. I'll tell you all that I'm not the kindhearted type of Teacher that you all are wishing for. I'm gonna train you all and teach you swordsmanship until you faint."

The atmosphere of the classroom became gloomy.

"Then, I'd like you all to write down your names and age on a paper and pass it to me."

Roger sat infront of them as the students began writing their names and age at a paper.

"Let's see umm, Asquel Schneizer... Age 14." As he wrote it down on a piece of paper.

After a few minutes the Teacher received the papers and told them to follow him to the training grounds.

The other students were excited and Asquel as well was very excited and wanted to learn swordsmanship quickly.

As they walked along the corridor the girl who asquel bumped earlier grabbed asquel's shirt.

"Umm, May i know your name?" The girl asked.

"Oh, I'm asquel. And you are?

"I'm Vivi, Vivi Walton. Nice to meet you asquel."

Then asquel shaked vivi's hand and they continued walking towards the training grounds along with the other students.

"Listen up! Today you'll be showing me your physique abilities. Give me a hundred push ups and a hundred sit ups now!" As the teacher yelled at the students.

The students panicked and started doing the push ups and the others did the Sit ups.

Asquel then realized that this was gonna be one hell of a training for them.
