His first kiss

When Yang Jia opened her eyes, she found herself on a hospital bed. Her grandfather was on other side of the bed. His eyes were swollen, it seemed he'd been crying.

Yang Jia was comatose for two months. The first thing she learned when she woke up was that her parents passed away. Not only did she lost her parents, she also lost half of her teenage memories. That is the reason why she had some trouble recognizing Duke.

Yang Jia was depressed for almost a year. Her parents were everything to her and now they weren't here with her anymore, her heart felt empty.

What it kept her motivated was her grandparents. They were always there for her when she needed them the most.

Her grandparents showed her how to stay strong and keep on going with life.

Her grandfather decided to keep his daughter and son-in-law's wish and gave Yang Jia to Zhang Wei certain that he will make his precious granddaughter happy. He trusted Zhang Wei because he knew that he was a good man, but who would've thought that he was only a cheating scumbag.

Back to the present

"I'm sorry, I've never seen you before" Yang Jia said coldly. Even though she had a indifferent expression, she couldn't help glance at his handsome face. His upturned nose, long dark eyelashes, and well refined jawline. His hair reached to his neck and was dark as night. He looked ravishing. The most handsome man she'd ever seen.

"You've never seen me before?" His voice trembling. Every word that came out from her mouth penatrated through his heart. 'Has she lost her memory?'

Yang Jia shook her head, a little confused to why the man had a weird reaction "No, I can recognize someone in at first glance and I've never seen such a handsome man in my life"

Yang Jia looked at the man's disappointed face when suddenly in the next second his lips curved up.

Yang Jia was confused 'the man was clearly disappointed just a second ago. Why is he so happy now?' Yang Jia thought about it for a second and her ears suddenly turned red...

Why did she have to add that sentence at the end. She had never said such phrase to a man, not even Zhang Wei.

Yang Jia was confused, not because of the man's reaction, but to what she was feeling right now. She felt the urge to lock him up in a cage and keep him all to herself. She never felt this way toward a stranger, she didn't even felt this way toward that scumbag.

On the other hand Liang Guozhi kept quiet for a few moments. He suppressed the urge to pull her slender figure into his embrace and plant a kiss on her soft lips. Just by looking at her lips a fragment of their past suddenly appeared on his mind.

Yang Jia took a nap after playing with Duke and Liang Guozhi. He looked at her sleeping figure and had the urge to get closer to her, he kneel down and approached her beautiful face. Their faces were so close to each other, he could hear her steady breathing and could smell her unique fragrance. He couldn't help, but to press his firm lips to her soft ones. It tasted so sweet that he couldn't help, but crave for more. Though Liang Guozhi wanted to deepened the kiss, he had to restrain himself from losing control and had to let her go.

That day was his first ever kiss. Though years already passed Liang Guozhi could still feel the remnants of their kiss lingering on his lips.

Yang Jia's words brought him back to reality "what are you smiling about?" Yang Jia asked subconsciously

Liang Guozhi smiling face suddenly turned serious. Even though he wanted to talk to her and ask her what has she'd been doing, he first had to ask her about that bastard. He needed to know if he had done anything else that hurt her besides throwing her to the woods. He wanted to pay back tenth-fold for every damage he has caused to her.

"Hello Yang Jia" Liang Guozhi said calmly. Though in the outside he looked calm on the inside he was panicking like a crazy madman. He didn't know what to say to her. Was he supposed to tell her that they loved each other and that she completely lost her memories... No no no no, that was a bad idea. She will probably think that he's a hooligan. 'Well I guess I'll have to improvise' he thought to himself

Yang Jia knitted her eyebrows "How do yo know my name?" she asked

"We've met before, My name is Liang Guozhi. Right now you might not remember me, and I don't know how to explain this, but we were friends back then. I was the only one other than you that knew Duke's existence in this forest and I"...'also love you' He wanted to add those last three words so badly, but cut himself quickly. It wasn't the right time at least for now.

"I..." Yang Jia didn't know what she was supposed to say. She couldn't even remember half of her teenage memories, but there is one thing she had to admit is that if she were to meet this man before Zhang Wei, she wouldn't even batted an eye on that bastard.

Yang Jia looked away for a few seconds and bit her bottom lip, she didn't know if she should trust this man. There was something about this man that she was so attracted to. His eyes had a hint of gentleness and also a hint of... love? She didn't know if she was hallucinating, but that man was looking at her with deep emotion. Her heart started beating so fast. Is like there was something inside her that was locked for a long time and it was being released. Her heart had a chain-lock around it and he was the only one that had the key to open it.

Yang Jia decided to ignore what she was feeling. It was most likely because he was a handsome man and it was normal for women to swoon over him.

Liang Guozhi could clearly read her mind. He could see that she was struggling wether she should believe his words or not. He immediately said "Hey you can thrust me, I would never do anything to hurt you"

Yang Jia could tell that he was sincere, but still had to be alert "I don't know if you're saying the truth or not, so I will need some kind of proof that you're being sincere" she said

"The fact that Duke didn't attack me is reason enough for you to trust in my words" Liang Guozhi answered calmly

That's true. Yang Jia looked at Duke for conformation and saw that he didn't have any malicious intent towards the man. "Okay I believe you only because I trust Duke"

A little hurt by her words, but still happy that she decided not to kick him out of the 'Tiger's Den'
