1 The introduction of a Devil to a God.

"Arthur, today you will travel with Lady Shu to the academy, you will not fail us again. This is the final straw, you fuck this up and we are going to revoke your right to be a part of the Maxwell Family. Boy, are you listening to me?"

Arthur's father then went to clip Arthur on the side of his head with his hand however from his sitting position, Arthur grabbed the hand and began applying enough force on it to break it in half.

Arthur slowly moved his head to look at his father, when he made eye contact with the older man in front of him, he smiled and broke his wrist.

Arthur then used the now broken arm as a weapon to attack his father with, repeatedly forcing him to strike himself in the face. Arthur then let the hand go and said in a deadpan tone" I know that you sold me to the Shu family for the next three years to ease them off of your back. The truth is that you are on your last legs isn't it father? At a guess, I would say that uncle has had enough of your shit and is about to revoke your status as a member of the main family. Well father, as of yesterday I have told uncle to consider me no longer a part of the family, you can all get fucked"

Arthur then walked out of the moving car and proceeded to the hotel at the end of the street, people were looking at him as if he was some sort of monster, he just got out of a moving car and was totally fine. Ignoring the onlookers, Arthur simply put his hood up to cover his scruffy black hair and hastily approached the hotel. He was late for a meeting with the Shu family, the outcome of the meeting wold determine his life from here on in.

As he approached the hotel, his father's car pulled up to the front door, Arthur ignored the car and attempted to enter the hotel. He was stopped by a man in a smart dark suit, he had his hands hovering over a gun.

"State your name and business with the Shu family"

Arthur met the eyes of the guard and said" Arthur Maxwell, formerly of the Maxwell Family and potential bodyguard of Lady Shu. I have a meeting to discuss my appointment now, please do not let any other member of the Maxwell Family into the hotel, they may attempt to sabotage the meeting."

The guard nodded his head and said " You may enter, a maid will show you to the meeting room."

Arthur nodded his head and entered the extremely lavish reception of the hotel, most of the furniture had a golden tint, the floor was covered in a silk carpet. It was a sharp contrast to the locations in which Arthur had lived in before.

A young woman approached him and lead him towards a large room at the back of the hotel, Arthur walked past the maid and abruptly opened the door, forcing eye contact with the man seated at the head of the table, Arthur said" My name is Arthur Maxwell and it is my understanding that my father sold me into your service, that will not stand. I will happily work for the Shu family for a wage however I will not work for free or for that man's freedom."

The man simply clicked his fingers and the two guards closet to Arthur launched themselves at him, Arthur slowly dodged the incoming attacks from the guards, exerting as little energy as possible, he grabbed the taller one by the scruff of his neck and slammed his head against the table knocking him out, Seeing Arthur's brutality, the smaller guard looked at the man in the chair who simply nodded in response, the smaller man then drew a pistol with a magic inscription on it.

Arthur instantly recognised the inscription, t would turn the bullets into explosives as soon as they pierced the skin of the target, blowing up their body from the inside. Arthur let out a short sigh and vanished from where he was standing, appearing directly behind the guard, he disarmed him by kneeing him in the stomach and then the head, Having grabbed the gun Arthur fired three shots, one at each of the other guards in the room, blowing off an arm off each and a shot at the man sitting at the table.

The bullet flew past them man's head, cutting the side of his face with enough depth to draw blood from it, the bullet then firmly lodged itself into the wall behind the man. Having proven his brutality and efficiency, Arthur sat down opposite the man and said" I will serve your family for two years. After that I will be returning to the Maxwell family to retrieve my reward for 17 years of service to a tyrant."

Wiping the blood from his cheek, the man was intrigued by what the Maxwell family had that they could not offer Alexander, the family head said" My name is Shu Amoto, that I guess you already know, I was aware of your skills however it seems that the Maxwell family played them down to make it seem as if they were weaker than they really are. Tell me, what is it the Maxwell family has that we can't give you to secure your long term loyalty?"

Arthur's response caught the family head by surprise, Arthur simply looked him in the eyes and said" They have my son."
